A FEW of their websites will go dark, such as their fantasy (soccer)
football site and soap opera gossip.

Presumably, U.S. Citizen-of-Convenience Rupert Murdoch (thesun.co.uk)
and and similar businessmen can provide more than enough of this sorta
thing. And if the sites are sponsored by British tabloids, they may
well be topless! (Wouldn't you like to see topless pictures from The
Archers? No? I didn't think so.)

The money saved by the Beeb will go to sites of greater "public
value", whatever the hell that means.

I thought I was going to have to go through withdrawal from the
decades old works of Spike Milligan, Clement Freud, John Clees, et
alia.
