A few new stations have been added to my Shortwave log book!!
LOCATION: Redding, California, USA with a Sangean ATS909X and H-800 Skymatch Active Antenna
Radio 9 de Julho 9820khz, 10kw from Sao Paolo, Brazil.Heard at 1249utc/749am pacific on 5/19/2015 which a very poor, 1 out of 10 signal.. noise was barely above the noise floor, but music was heard.
Super Radio Deus de Amor 11765khz with 10kw from Curitabia, Brazil. Heard on April 6th, 2015 at 0712utc/1212am pacific & on 5/19/2015 at 0726utc/1226am pacific. Relatively decent signals considering the power and distance.. about a 3 out of 10 with a little fading and some interference. Different preachers heard each time.
All India Radio 15120khz with 500kw from Bengalaru, India. The signal was fairly strong, about a 4 out of 10 with some kind of indian music playing. The audio was fair, definately had room for improvement. On 3/31/2015 reception of AIR 9870 from Bengalaru produced about a 3 out of 10 signal but some fairly cruddy audio. Keith Perronâ)
Radio Bandierantes 9645khz with 7.5kw from Sao Paolo, Brazil at 0715utc/12:15am pacific. The signal was poor, about 1 1/2 to 2 out of 10. There was lots of fading but some peaks where audio got slightly better. There might have been a little interference as well.
Radio Cairo 11935khz with 250kw from Abis, Yemen. At 0239utc/639pm pacific on May 5th, 2015, I heard what I believe to be a Radio Cairo Shortwave broadcast in spanish.
Radio Educacion 6185 with 1kw form Mexico City. weak, about a 2 out of 10 signal with music being played, some fading.
Radio Kuwait 17550khz with 500kw form Kuwait at 2234UTC/3:34PM Pacific on Sunday May 17th, 2015. The signal was STRONG, ranged from about a 6 out of 10 to 8 1/2 out of 10.. very listenable and seem to sit around a 7 or 8 on my signal level meter. Audio was good.
