hard to believe only a pirate, but within seconds it stops, after
saying something like ``thanks for tuning in``. It`s Mix Radio
International, which has been showing up on lots of frequencies beyond
the Pirate Band. Tony Pavick had tipped this at 0233 on the WOR iog:
``Mix Radio International is up and perking on 9820 USB tonite``. No
sign of Brasil 9818.6v lately, and Rudolf Grimm, SP, had reported Apr
30 to HCDX: ``9820 kHz: Radio Nove de Julho, São Paulo SP – April 26

KWPN 640. NRC AM Log shows those are with ESPN, while KCRC/KZLS are
with Fox Sports Radio. Is it possible, or unusual for anyOkie to be

a row nothing but dead air on REE`s South American frequency, whenever
checked during its entire span, while 15500 for North America remains

JBA. And 3975.000+, S9+5 which now has a het on the plus side only.

ECSS direct.

** U S A. 900 kHz, Apr 30 at 0646 UT, music from the ``Great American
Songbook, WKDA`` ID, Lebanon TN. This dominates 900 here at night, at
least on my E/W longwire, no sign of XEW. This is quite contrary to
radio-locator.com listing as ``Radio Luz 900 AM`` = Spanish! and
5000/136 watts, non-direxional but `2 modes`, whatever that mean.
Coverage maps are totally circular from site just east of Lebanon. NRC
AM Log as of last summer shows format as C&W/NOS, not SS (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 1230 kHz, Apr 30 at 0705 UT, weather but no clue to
location, and ID sounds like KXJB? on 98.9 FM. The WTFDA FM Database
is offline as I want to search for a match, so I look thru all 150 US
stations on 1230 in the NRC AM Log, no // 98.9 shown until almost the
end, WXCO Wausau WI, with W255DN, TLK format. Later WTFDA FMDB is
back, and makes exactly the same single hit. So maybe. WBBZ Ponca City
OK is far enough not to own 1230 at night, but close enough usually to
