Subject: [WOR] Radio Havana Cuba-Extended Broadcast

While trying to check my recently assembled shortwave broadcasts coming from
Cuba,

I listened this morning starting at 1410 UTC, to a broadcast coming from
Radio Havana. I found them on 6000 kHz and 13740 kHz on time slots when they
should have been off the air.

The current Radio Havana B20 schedule, posted on their web site, showed the
hours as 1200 UTC to 1400 UTC in Spanish. I heard both of them until just a
few minutes after 1500 UTC.

After the broadcasts ended, I could still detect their transmit carriers
with no modulation.

I thought that it might mean that the RHC schedule was still on Daylight
Savings Time.

So, I checked the A20 Radio Havana schedule and found that it still showed
1200-1400 UTC.

Another thought entered my mind. I thought maybe they had extended
broadcasts to celebrate the death of Fidel Castro, some four years ago. I
could not tell what was being said, mostly because I do not understand the
Spanish language.

So, is this some sort of scheduling error? I don't know.

Take Care
Stay Safe
