WORLD OF RADIO HITLIST UPDATE

Hi Glenn, I hope that all is well. My latest Hitlist update:
https://www.w4uvh.net/hitlist.htm

1) China - CRI: Added link to CRI Podcasts page
2) France - TDF: Updated link to Frequencies (now finally updated for
A-21 from old A-20 info)
3) France - R Waves Int: Added link under France main heading
4) India - AIR: Added link to official AIR website for frequency
information (thanks to Jose Jacob, dxindia iog mail list)
5) UK - Encore Classical Music: Added link under UK main heading (and
have removed existing entries under USA - WRMI and Germany - Channel
292 headings)
6) USA - Texas R Shortwave: Added link to station (Facebook page)
7) USA - From The Isle of Music & Uncle Bills Melting Pot: Added links
to both under USA main heading (and have removed existing entries
under USA - WBCQ and Germany - Channel 292 headings)

Unless there's a major change anywhere, the next update will be early
June. Best wishes and 73 (Alan Roe, May 2 via WOR iog)

** CANADA. 244-MCW kHz, May 2 at 0552 UT, dash and TH, 1000-watt ND
beacon at Thompson MB. Logged before but not often, last Dec & Jan but
not since; time is running out per dxinfocentre.com:

``244 TH CAN MB THOMPSON 1000 55 47 40 -97 51 15 TO BE DECOMMISSIONED
2021-08-12``

Thompson is at/near the end of the road in north central MB, beyond
The Pas and Flin Flon, 2152 km = 1337 statute miles, almost due north
from Enid.

Also two other Canadians, only Manitobans tonight; if any Canadian,
can make it best vs storm noise levels, it`s WG:

248-MCW kHz, May 2 at 0551, dash and WG, 1000-watt NDB at Winnipeg.

284-MCW kHz, May 2 at 0549, dash and QD, 500-watt NDB at The Pas,
Manitoba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA [non?]. 9360, May 2 at 1711, S2-S5 in Chinese; probably CNR1
jammer; or RFA Chinese via Kuwait at 17-21 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA [non]. 13645, May 2 at 1707, hilife music, S8 fading to S5.
It`s the Swahili hour of CRI via Bamako II, MALI; followed by another
hour in Hausa. Wonder if Swahili service be another one filled by
nothing but African music (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U K [non]. 9615, May 2 at 1721, S5-S7 in Korean, then some English
so it`s a lesson including words muscle and coffee, bits of music. BBC
Korean is scheduled 1530-1830 via Tinang, PHILIPPINES, also aimed
onward USward (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2084 monitoring: confirmed UT Sun
May 2 from 0320 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, Wentzville MO, S9+10. Next:

2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy
2200vUT Sunday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW
2300 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 to NE
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW
0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE, 5800 to SSE

2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
2200 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE

Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support:
thanks this week to Ron Howard, Monterey, California, in memory of
Noel Green, for a check to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702,
and Ron says, ``Appreciate all the wonderful things you do for our
hobby!``

One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to

** U S A. 5970, May 2 at 0558, WEWN Spanish, RCM, is missing (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 12160, Sun May 2 at 1709, no signal from WWCR-2, altho the
other three are audible, the uppers with a bit of sporadic E: 15825,
13845 and 9980. 12160 is supposed to start at 1500 after 7490, which
is not on now either. 12050 WEWN is poorly audible at similar
megameter distance.

It so happens that per the April 1 program sked, Sun 17-18 on 12160 is
supposed to carry The Overcomer. I wonder if that have expired and so
turned off the transmitter rather than fill with something else.

Reminds me, I have been intending to quote the following, as all kinds
of contradictory info has been coming out about whether or how far in
advance TOM is paid up at various stations:

``[WOR] Glitch at WRMI? Apr 25 at 5:16 AM --- Both 5850 and 5950 had
dead air at 0507 tune in, but a few seconds later, there was an
announcement from the Overcomer Ministry that the programs were paid
up until October, and what happens after that is solely dependent on
funding. Dead air again at 0509 and still so at 0516 UTC. Dead air
continued until 0541:58 when Overcomer resumed. 73, Walt Salmaniw,
Victoria BC`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 1948 UT May 2
