DUTCH PIRATE RADIO MONIQUE INTERNATIONAL WANTS NAm LISTENERS TO BE PART OF ITS PROGRAM TO BE RELAYED ON WRMI

The first program will be broadcast live on Saturday, September 4, at 1500 UTC, and recorded for a later rebroadcast via WRMI.  Radio Monique will use a frequency somewhere between 6240 and 6340 kHz, usually around 6285 kHz.

Check the Texas Radio Shortwave Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/texasradiosw) on September 4 for Radio Monique International’s frequency.

Listeners are asked to email or message Radio Monique with questions, comments, and music requests.  As many emails and messages as possible will be read over the air, along with music dedications.

The recorded program will then air on WRMI, 5950 kHz, at 0000 UTC on October 3.

North American listeners can tune in using these European remote Software Defined Receivers:

Weston, UK - http://websdr.uk:8060/

NW Ireland - http://irelandnorthwest.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/ or http://irelandnorthwest2.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/

University of Twente, NL - http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/.

The UK and Ireland sites have a limited number of listening slots but may provide a better signal.  The University of Twente receiver’s signal sometimes isn’t as good as the others but can handle hundreds of listeners simultaneously.

For the more adventurous, here’s a site providing access to remote SDRs worldwide: http://rx.linkfanel.net/.  Select the one with the best reception.

There are several ways to communicate with Radio Monique during and after the broadcast:

  1. Join the European pirate chat: http://freeradiochat.blogspot.com/2020/03/chat-for-free-radio-listeners-and.html (IMPORTANT: Guests MUST change their ID/Name by left-clicking on it in the righthand  column, normally it's the ID on top of the list, otherwise you could be banned.)
  2. Send an email to radiomoniqueradio@hotmail.nl
  3. Reply to the top post on Radio Monique’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/radiomonique.international/  (IMPORTANT: Make certain to choose All Comments and refresh the page regularly to see posts as they are added.)

Tune in and have some fun with Radio Monique.
