Hauser
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, Wed Nov 23, I am awake and booted by
1500 to usual Argentine KiwiSDR, joining overhearers in Essen,
Florence, to find LRA36, S5/S7 in progress with song, repeating lyric
``Puedo``. 1502 sign/on, multilingual ID, staff list; 1503 themesong;
1507 recitation - always a short scripted piece; 1510 song; 1513 ID
and live YLs with 32nd program of the season, references to fútbol and
mundial - can`t escape these stupid ballgames. 1518 temp is 1 degree;
it`s not dark at midnite; 1519 contact info; 1521 song about Mundial;
but chopped off air at 1522*! I keep listening to noise just in case
until 1555.

Believe it or not, I have never tried to hear their webcast, but after
breakfast, via the WOR Hitlist, I bring it up at 1558:
https://vmf.edge-apps.net/embed/live.php?streamname=sc_rad32-100131&autoplay=true
and there they are, still going, so to them I guess it matters little
whether the SW dumps off or not. Historical talk; 1614 mentions the
33rd program will be next Wednesday; 1615 a Ricky Martin song; 1620
staff-list, = sign/off, ``nos une`` ID and off/pause. 1621 switch to
some other station/audio with rock music (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 2749 USB, Nov 23 at 2321, marine weather in French, VP S3;
also sounds same on 2598 USB, which is JBA so can`t make a match for
sure. Dxinfocentre.com shows both starting at 2317:
2749, VCN, Escoumins, FF/EE, 600 watts
2598, VBQ-22, Natashquan (Escoumins), FF/EE, 600 watts. I guess the ()
means it relays Escoumins. E is in PQ on the north shore of
St-Laurent; So is N, much further east (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13809, Nov 23 at 2319, very weak scratching is all that RHC
13740 AM can muster as a spurblob, 69 kHz above, and even less of a
trace circa 13670. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Nov 23 at 0709, JBA carrier from R. Kiribati,
noticeably stronger than its TA companions 837, 855 et al., from
Spain. I file this under the individual island name, but IRCA has
accepted my contention that it should be separate from Tarawa, two
timezones away; from IRCA DX Monitor Nov 26, published Nov 21:

``IRCA Countries List 2022
Kiribati (formerly Gilbert Islands) [OC] – includes Tarawa
Kiribati, Eastern (aka Line Islands) [OC] – far enough from Tarawa to
count as a separate country, Kiritimati-846 activated in early 2018``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6930 USB, Nov 23 at 2313 at first sounds like SSTV,
then like turkey-gobbling, mixture of music, talk and gobbling. 2323
more of same, S9; 2346 recheck now with a strange drama with a witchy
voice hard to understand, SFX, mysterious music, past 2400, leftover
from H`we`en? Others report these as two different `stations`:
Techno Turkey Radio:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,105790.0.html
and unID, someone else independently using term ``witchy voice``:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,105792.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2165 monitoring: ``From: Richard Lemke, St.
Albert, Alberta, Canada, the desk of Richard’s listening Post, Radio:
JRC NRD-535 HF, Antenna: random long wires in the trees. WRMI:
5850, 0130, 0144, 0159 (45433), s 9 signal, 0159, November 19 [Sat]

Confirmed UT Wednesday November 23 at 0030 on WRMI 9395, S9+37 into
Missouri SDR.

** VANUATU. 7890 & 11835, Nov 23 at 0725, JJBBA carriers from RV
harmonix (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA split MW carrier search, Nov 23 at
0709: 711, 774-2, 837, 855-2 but none higher in huge splash levels
from domestix. Medium-speed beat on 774, slow on 855, i.e. Spains,
also 837, and 711 would be Morocco. All weaker than 846 Kiritimati
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
