Hauser

** NIGERIA. 7255-, February 6 at 0642, VON is on with sufficient
modulation in presumed Hausa, S9+10 direct; and still at 0710 final
check (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960.000, Feb 6 at *2258, VOT on with IS & ID in English
quite before BBC Oman be finished. S9+35/45 into UTwente. 2300, 5+1
timesignal and s/on as if this were the 1330 broadcast on 12035. This
means that instead of only the 2300 and 0400 Englishes being
pre-recorded as often conceded, all the English broadcasts are repeats
of one new produxion at the end of the workday. I give this priority
over simulSpain but the news which follow are really olds, and to
make it worse, casted by the heavily-accented YL. Mostly about the
earthquakes but full of statistics and info about other countries
sending aid; was at 4:17 am LT Sunday, mag 7.4, depth 7 km - not
matching figures we have been getting from major news media where
there has been plenty of coverage, not only audiol but visual. 2310
finally some other items. 2314 `Review of the Turkish Press` about
otherstuff; 2317 `Feeling/Supreme/The Healing Spring` repeat about the
benefits of carrots. By now the CCCCCCI from East Turkistan is audible
underneath. 2326 something about Augmented Reality (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2176 monitoring: Also confirmed
Sunday February 5 at 2100.5 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz only,
S9+15 into nearby Noale SDR. Light SAH flutter but no significant
modulated QRM. Did I say Andorra special would be Sunday Feb 25? OMG,
was really Feb 5. But 1323 modulation stops at 2104, and off the air!
a few sex later tho S-meter still shows about the same of noise level.
So much for that; 2118 recheck: back on, unknown for how long.

Also confirmed UT Monday February 6 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S8/9+10 into
Louisiana SDR, tuned in a bit too late to hear whether first 14
seconds still hit by noise blast; but heard a couple of random ones at
0056.

Also confirmed UT Monday February 6 at 0402.8 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160
-62 Hz = 6159.938, S8/S9 into Maryland SDR, after: 0400 ``Goodbye``
song; 0402, JL finally ``gotta go``. Next:

0130 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1000 UT Wednesday Unique R, Australia 5035 USB [low power]
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

Like our website, a noncommercial service for which financial support
is appreciated. Thanks this week to Moises J. Corilloclla Escajadillo,
Rego Park NY, formerly of Perú, for a check on a US bank to Glenn
Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid, OK 73702

One may also contribute via Pay Pal, not necessarily in US funds to
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Feb 6 at 0632, JBA carrier aside Nigeria; still at
0710 and no signals on R. Vanuatu harmonix of 3945 on 7890, 11835
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6860-6920 & 7655-7705 approx., broad noise humps peaking
roughly in centers of 50-60 kHz-wide ranges, as received direct Feb 6
at 0650. Suspect they are US high-frequency trading HFT emissions, a
growing threat to SWBC. At least these are well out of BC bands (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 0045 UT February 7
