Logs
** CANADA. 2749 USB, June 1 at 0240 UT, marine weather YLish voice,
not readable but recognizable, vs HSNL. DXinfocentre.com shows VCS
Halifax starting at 0240, 1500 watts. Pleased to be getting this much
in summer condx. At 0303 recheck in French, tho VCS not shown as
EE/FF, nothing else scheduled. Nothing either time on 2598 USB (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, June 1 at 0245, R. Rebelde is off; something`s always
wrong at RadioCuba. Likewise 9580 China relay, suptorted (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NEWFOUNDLAND. 6604 USB, June 1 at 0255, VOLMET from Gander.
Reminder that time is running out. It`s about to be closed down:
``This change will take effect on 12 June 2025 at 0901Z Coordinated
Universal Time (UTC)`` per

https://www.navcanada.ca/en/flight-planning/service-notices/2025-06-12-gander.aspx
Other frequencies are 3485, 10051 and 13270, at :20-:30 and :50-:60
past the hours (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6924.9 AM, June 1 at 0258, distorted pirate voices.
These say it`s Liquid Radio, on ``6925`` but no later than 0147:

(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6930 USB, June 1 at 0259, pirate music. UNID here by
several, including fuzzy SSTV something about `DEMOCRATS`, and
full-screen `UNID`:

(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6949.8 AM, June 1 at 0300, pirate music. Several IDs
here as R. Free Euphonia on ``6950``:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,145897.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 1210 kHz, June 1 at 0305 UT, KGYN, The Big Talker,
5-state, with weather forecast including Memorial Day! So must be a
week old! 0306 into `Intelligence Briefing`, another far right talk
show, and in the previous hour accusing Pres. Sheinbaum of being a
Marxist. BTW, bigsig so must be cheating ND again instead of DA away
from us and WPHT (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2297 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
May 31 at 2236 the 2230 on WRMI 15770, S7/S9 into UTwente where it`s
aimed, but with storm crashes right over Netherlands.

Also confirmed UT Sunday June 1 at 0302 about 2 minutes into so the
0315v started early circa 0300 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+20 direct
about equal to storm noise level.

Have not reconfirmed the Sun 1030 on WRMI 9955 for some weeks, as I
endeavor to zzzz at that time, but June 1 I happen to awaken, to find
NO signal at 1045 or 1050, but *1055 with IS & ID loop. Presumably WOR
still on the System C webcast. WRMI skedgrid now updated June 1 does
show 9955 not until *1100, both by transmitter and system
programming.

Confirmed Sunday June 1 at 1900 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.995,
S7/S8 into Parma SDR. Next:

2130 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9455 to NW;
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW;
0830 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160 [suspended];
1930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW;
1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
2000 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323v;
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

Thanks this week for financial support from Terry Colgan, N5RTC of
Texas Radio Shortwave, via PayPal in US funds but not necessarily, to
woradio at yahoo.com, ``thanks for your hard work, keeping us
up-to-date on all things broadcasting.``

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser,
P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5920, WTWW, June 1 at 0250-0254 UT is putting out diffuse
splatter, like happens sometimes from 9930. I match the extremely
distorted mod peaks on another receiver with TOMBS on 5920, and NOT
matching 5890 WWCR which is also TOMBS but never synchronized. Worst
peak around 5965, but audible in these rough ranges: 5955-5976,
6000-6017 QRMing RHC 6000 which already has enough problems, 6030-6060
QRMing HCJB 6050. Not so much on lower side but 5855-5880 or so. The
other WTWW, 5085 is off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 670, June 1 at 0220 UT am getting CCI, two stations
making a slow SAH, one of them certainly WSCR Chicago, but I hear Fox
Sports Radio mentioned, which rules out WSCR, right? Listed as ISR =
CBS, only, and NRC AM Log does not show any other 670 with any sports
network in English, let alone Fox, so? Wikipedia also shows no 670
with FSR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 1906 UT June 1
