** AUSTRALIA. 12365 USB, July 12 at 0614, marine weather by
no-nonsense assertive fakevoice, lots of coordinates and UTCs
mentioned: conveying a weather map verbally? The longitudes east and
the latitudes south. 0618 ID as ``VMC Australian weather ---`` Then
listing all its frequencies: 2201, 4426, 6507, 8176, 13265, 16546 and
area covered. Then same info for sibling station VMW to 0619.5*. VMC
is in Charleville, Qsld, VMW in Wiluna WA. EiBi shows Sound of Hope
also on 12365 but none of that now, nor jamming. C`ville is in S
central Qsld, very much inland (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** FRANCE. Re KUWAIT [non] unID 15540 in last report, in the NASWA iog
from Paul Walker: ``WRTH's Mauno Ritola says, with thanks to me for
the original report finding it, this is Radio Omid Iran, the update is
in the WRTH Web App for A25 (which I don`t have). Via Issoudun
France``
Mauno Ritola on WRTH FB: ``Correction: seems that "Omid e-Iran" (Hope
of Iran) is the producing organisation behind the transmission and the
shortwave operation is called "Radio Zamane Bidari" (Awakening
time).``

** ITALY. Correxion: in last report, omitted NOT before LW 207; fixed:
918 kHz, Fri July 11 at 1904, AM Italia relaying IRRS SW in
FSN, 1905 UN News, 1909 songs, S9+22 into nearby Noale SDR. Also still
on 1323 but much weaker S9+7, NOT on LW 207 kHz. NEXUS-IBA program
schedule still shows 1323 only. I asked IRRS about this:
``In case you have not noticed, as not on your program sked, AM Italia
is now and has been active for a while on 918 kHz, and with a much
stronger signal than 1323 which is also still on air, as monitored by
the nearby Noale SDR. 73, Glenn`` Reply from Alfredo Cotroneo:
``Yes, we are optimizing the infrastructure and running some
experiments with different transmitters and antenna configurations on
1323 and 918 kHz. Alfredo`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO podcasts: ``Keith, Tnx for working
on my podcasts. Checking the links I have on my homepage,
http://www.worldofradio.com
they all seem to work except feedburner which goes to a document tree.
How should we change that? I gather that WOR can be reached thru
various other podcast services, many of which I may be unaware of. How
can I know or publicize that info? Glenn``
Keith Weston replies July 12: ``Glenn, That document tree is what is
to be expected from a bare RSS feed. That is the correct link for
feedburner. It's an XML document (which is what a RSS feed actually
is). I would mention that WOR is available at Apple Podcasts, TuneIn,
YouTube and nearly everywhere you get your podcasts. Because RSS is a
distributed system, there are hundreds if not thousands of "clearning
houses". The biggest players are Apple, TuneIn, YouTube,
Spotify, etc. The way podcasts work is that you get them listed at a
few of those places (mainly Apple, Tunein and Google) and the podcast
just populates "everywhere" because other services are built upon
these main nodes. I hope that makes sense. The distribution model
starts with Feedburner in this case and spreads out in hundreds of
nodes from there. Keith`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2303 monitoring: confirmed UT
Saturday July 12 at 0300 on WTWW 5085, S9+50 direct. As usual when it

there! Thank you, George.

the latter at this time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
