** CUBA. 15230, July 28 at 2205, RHC almost dead air but suptorted,
S6/S7 direct; while 13780 is S9+10/20 with good modulation in Spanish.
A report of 15290 presumed RHC was really RMI via TDF with `Requiem
for Radio` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. Re previous report about 1640 Enid once known as KOAG
with a note pad, here is my original report of it at beginning of
*2013y*:
``** OKLAHOMA. 1640. Jan 3 at 0506 UT, Enid`s X-bander had a new call
and a new brand, ID as KOAG, ``All Ag, All Day``, ``keeping farmers
and ranchers informed``. 0515 ADM ad, also ``The Farm Station``;
segments on sunflowers, sorghum, reference to
http://www.allagnews.com
This is something syndicated by Paramount Broadcasting Corporation. No
affiliate list as such on the website, but the Listen Live page says:
``Listen to All Ag, All Day! live across the Texas/Oklahoma Panhandles
at 800AM (KDDD) Dumas-Amarillo; and across the Texas South Plains at
900AM (KFLP) Floydada-Lubbock.`` So it looks like KOAG is only the
third station, they have not got around to adding on.
Further listening finds KOAG with IRN-USA news on the hour and
half-hour (the latter with sports segment). At 1432 the news feed was
suffering from IADs, digifarts and some hum. Legal ID still includes
Enid-Oklahoma City. Plenty of market reports too.
This replaces KFXY, which lastly had a southern gospel music format,
always subject to pre-emption for stupid ballgames, as I expect KOAG
will be too. All this talk should mean less ACI for DX on 1630 and
1650. Maybe I`ll finally hear XEARZ.
Tnx to David Yocis of NRC who spotted the call change at FCC before I
did on the local radio. Note that unlike most X-banders, this one is
direxional with a figure-8 loop from east of Hennessey, between OKC
and Enid so it favors both cities, but nulls toward the ENE and WSW,
making it difficult in those direxions. Now they might wish to be
non-direxional, better to cover ``all-ag`` areas in western Oklahoma
rather than urbanity. And why not? It was a choice; they were not
required to be direxional to protect anything, in fact making it worse
for WTNI in Mississippi at night (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)`` (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** SPAIN. 17715, Monday July 28 at 2200, token English from SNR for
SAm, S9+20/30, direct but ZERO signals on the three 19mb channels!
15520, 15390, not even 15500 normally strong for NAm. Propagation?
hardly anything else audible on 19m except WRMI and RHC. NO, into
UTwente at 2226 check, nothing either except trace? of algo on 15520
and 17715 also blasting in there. Something`s very nonfunxional at
Noblejas. O, preview topic was about antibiotic resistance, WHO; 2201
news leading with EU/US agreement on tariffs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** SPAIN [and non]. 15500 S7/S8 & 15520, July 29 at 0657, weak open?
carriers. Strongly suspect REE testing after absence during the 2200
broadcast. Only other 15500 usage per EiBi is KSDA at 11-12, and REE
never between 0200 & 1400 depending on day of week. 15520 only REE but
not now. Nothing detected now on 17715 or 15390. Woofferton is
propagating OK on 15505 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY [non]. 11785, July 28 at 2159, NO signal direct from VOT,
nor at 2227 into UTwente; could be on accidentalternate 9875, not
either, rather weak 9874.911, obviously Korea North. Something`s
always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 28200+ CW, July 28 at 2214, only signal on 10m is JBA
beacon, warbling dash, 20 T`s - too long to be E`s, then very fast ID
starting with NST, which probably was meant to be TEST; and presumed
the one I`ve heard several times as in WGB list: ``28200.5 N4WLO -
Theodore AL USA EM50uo - #0/3 (14 May 2025) Note: Text × 3 + de ID
only every min + dashes: starts at 15nd ends at 34nd``. QRZ.com:
``N4WLO USA flag USA, TIMOTHY W URBAN, 4801 WINKLER CT, THEODORE, AL
36582`` --- BTW, can it be coincidental that Theodore is near Mobile,
home of the erstwhile coastal station WLO? Supposedly closed years ago
but current EiBi shows only two frequencies for it, 8788 and 13158
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2305 monitoring: confirmed Monday

Confirmed Tuesday July 29 at 1300 on WRMI 9955, JBA S7 direct.
Confirmed Tuesday July 29 at 1428 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, JBA even unto

** U S A. WTWW, splatter again causing severe interference, even unto
WWV: 9780-9885, 9975-10020, 10040-10080, VERY approx. ranges of
splatter out of 9930, each peaking around the middle, and matching
modulation on 9930 via another receiver: July 28 at 2209. Also with
discrete spur carriers plus/minus 12.8 kHz on 9917.2 & 9942.8 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 17790, July 28 at 2202, WRMI blasting CNN as biased and
losing ratings: sounds like Bob Biermann as on `Truth2Ponder`, rather
than `Classic Redneck Radio` as sked on System E. This frequency also
much stronger than usual, at 2217, S9+20/30, hard to believe still
aimed at S America (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 17790, July 29 at 1455, WRMI with IS & ID loop prior to
programming starting at `Top of Hour``. S9 direct. This frequency has
lately been much stronger than usual, so I`ve asked Jeff if it still
be on the 160 degree azimuth toward S America (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 9333/9367 approx., July 28 at 2207, spur field out of 9350
WWCR-2 which is blasting in as usual; meanwhile 9330 WBCQ-6 is JBA
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 4975, July 29 at 0013, JBA carrier into Bonaire SDR,
much weaker than 4940 at S9+. Trying to get an idea whence 4975
emanate, evidently not America South (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 7235, July 29 at 0648 & 0705, JBA AM carrier, direct. Of
course could be WHemham, but seems right on frequency and constant,
not interrupting. Few 40m HAMs are usually just below 7300. No
broadcasters sked now, only CRI and VOK at other hours (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)
