has got to be transmitter relaying CRI scheduled 0300-0500 only in
English, Cantonese, but missing a lot lately. Something`s always wrong
at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 11760, Aug 23 at 2233, RHC #1 legacy frequency finally back
on air after long absence -- but with JBM Chinese music! Instrumental
only but not Firedrake. RadioCuba didn`t used to relay CRI at this
hour. This is so strong, S9+20/30, that it`s got to be Cuba rather
than China itself, also scheduled on 11760 this hour in ``Portuguese``
to Europe via Xi`an. At 2257, 11760 goes to dead air but still on air
past 2301; while: 13650, Aug 23 at 2259, RadioCuba on with open carrier, 2300 CRI theme,
Chinese & Portuguese IDs, for the traditional hour of fill music. 13780, Aug 23 at 2233, RHC in Spanish, S9+20 with good modulation,
running about 2 seconds behind // 15230 which is S9+10/20 and
suptorted. 15230 is off by 2259: maybe moved to 13650 but not with
same defect. Anyhow it appears RHC is now capable of running 3
transmitters at once! All those as monitored direct; into Georgia SDR at 2313, 11760
deadair, 13650 CC music, 13780 SS & music, 15230 off (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 1390, Aug 24 at 0312, KCRC Enid dead air pinning the
needle S9+70? still dead past 0455+. I`ve left a radio on with volume
up to hear if and when it resume. Which it does, finally, blasting on
at 0500 sharp. Substation 1640 KZLS was also DA only S9+45 atop CCI.
But by 0639 next check, 1390 & 1640 are deadair again, and *0700 they
blast back on with baseball info; 1640 as usual is about 2 seconds
behind 1390 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 15500, Sat Aug 23 at 2248, REE to NAm is still OFF, but the
other three are on in Spanish about Panamá: 17715 S9+20/30 > 15520 >
15390 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785+, Aug 23 at 2232, VOT not off the air and furthermore
in correct language, English, S9+20/30, best signal direct in a while.
At 2250 music has increased to S9+30/40. 2252 s/off as if it`s 17620
at 1230, awry at Ankara, and IS to 2253.7* chop (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR) ** TURKEY. 9750.008-, Sun Aug 24 at 1900, S9+40/50 into UTwente, VOT
English with `Letterbox`. It`s almost 20 minutes long, 7 people called
but lengthy quotations from reports, and lengthy effusively friendly
replies; now with a bell-melody between them. 1) Christer Brunström,
Sweden, hard to understand names, passed on his comments on Turkish
politix. 2) Lela? Bell, Mr or Ms?, Netherlands, via UTwente, longtime
listener, firsttime writer. 3) Andrey Martinyuk?, Moscow, Russia. 4)
Mr Mohammed Breyel?, Malaysia. 5) Harald Suess, Austria, who heard

GA SDR but some storm crashes, 859 km = 534 statute miles away. Ron
Trotto was also listening on 1860 in IL. Also confirmed Sunday August 24 at 1920 the 1900 on IRRS SW via AM
