Glenn Hauser logs October 12-13, 2025

Logs
** CUBA. 6000, Oct 13 at 0509, RHC S9+30/40 but suptorted Spanish ID;
not on any other known frequencies (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Oct 13 at 1531, RHC TC, ``exactamente las 11 y 30`` --
not! with usual squeal, no other frequencies on (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 13605, 11930, 11860, Mon Oct 13 at 1637, R. Martí/LV
del Trumpismo blasting in to Ft Lauderdale remote, much weaker here,
but not on an hour earlier, still starting at 1600 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** MEXICO. 970, UT Mon Oct 13 at 0501, a Mexican anthem following `La
Hora Nacional` not the national, with ``chihuahuense`` in lyric, so
surely XEJ CiJz as usual, 1/1 kW -- except IRCA Mexican Log shows
another in same state, XESW, Ciudad Madera, 5 kW day, unknown night
power until 0400, hardly ever reported but Tim Hall had it almost a
year ago on typo frequency 980 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PUERTO RICO. ``You also mentioned hearing 391 DDP in Puerto Rico.
Some NDBs have a backup transmitter, which DDP does, and it
periodically switches to the backup TX. It's been on the backup past 6
weeks or so, and that one is unique with its +/-650 Hz offsets
compared to the normal TX's +/-1030 Hz. So the backup is all by itself
if one uses CW mode and a 500 Hz or smaller IF filter. For me, the
+650 side is always stronger, I don't know why, but I hear it better
than the -650 side. (Tuning to 391.650 kHz.) 73, Steve AA7U`` Ratzlaff
-- wonder what the powers are of the two (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785, Oct 12 at 2206, no signal from VOT into Ireland SDR;
something`s always erroneous at Emirler. Good thing I caught the
Letterbox earlier this Sunday on 9750 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 521 MCW kHz, Oct 13 at 0657 UT, TO, ND beacon, axually tuned
to 519 USB, but listed here as `Biloy`, Topeka KS, 25 watts. Never
heard before despite proximity, just PN Ponca City OK constantly on
515 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Also confirmed Sunday October 12 at 2100 on WRMI 15770, S6/8.5 into

Maryland SDR.

Also confirmed Sunday October 12 at 2330 on WRMI 9455,S9+10/18 into
Maryland SDR, immediately after `Sandunga` fill music, no ID.

Also confirmed UT Monday October 13 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, VP S8/S9

** U S A. 1431 kHz, Oct 13 at 0143 UT, both Athens GA and Eatonton GA

Hauser, OK, WOR)

with WABC; checking for KKOB, still inaudible here under current
