Hi Glenn, My latest Hitlist update.

1) Updated UTC offset notations for change to DST on 27 October for
HCJB (Germany); VO Greece (Greece); REE (Spain)
2) Belgium - R Augusta Int: Added link to Facebook page. (NB: This

welcome.)

4) Japan - R Japan: Added UTC offset notation for link to programme

** CANADA [and non]. For the first time this ``season``, audible some
Y-beacons besides 346 YXL Sioux Lookout ON, which is stronger than
usual, Oct 26 at 0642 UT, i.e.:
353 MCW kHz, Oct 26 at 0638 dash and PG mixing with LI Little Rock AR.
PG is at PortaGe La Prairie MB, 25 watts! per DXinfocentre.com rather
than most Canadians stronger. PLP is in the south midway between
Brandon and Winnipeg. No Y prefix call, why not?
300 MCW kHz, Oct 26 at 0643 UT, dash and YIV: 500 watts at Island Lake
MB.
382 MCW kHz, Oct 26 at 0648 UT, dash and YPL: 1000 watts at Pickle
Lake ON.
328 MCW kHz, Oct 26 at 0657 UT, dash and YTL, 1000 watts at Big Trout
Lake ON.
OTOH, many of my `regular` closer beacons are weaker than usual or
missing; See USA (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 13780, Oct 26 at 1446 and still 1503, when Esperanto should
be airing for one more week before changing to 1600 Sundays as a
running dog of Yanqui DST imperialism, just S6/S9 of dead air from
RHC, where something`s always wrong. Likewise 11760 S5/S7. Not on:
15230 or 15140 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** FRANCE. 21660, Oct 26 at 1501, Mini-TransAt marine weather in
French by YL voice has just resumed via ISSoudun, S7/S9 into Maryland
SDR. The boatracers are setting out from Canary Islands for Guadeloupe
across the Atlantic. Also in English later in daily hour; ex-17545 for
the closer first leg out of France (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** HUNGARY. 21448.7 USB, Oct 26 at 1440, HG3N calling CQ Contest; he
doesn`t hear many of the USA replies that I do. QRZ.com: ``HG3N
Hungary flag Hungary, Csaba Nagy, Nagybereny, Hungary -- Contest
callsign for HA3LN. For more details:`` http://ha3ln.hu/ (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** SPAIN. 12030, Oct 26 at 1933, REE NF for ME, VG off the back to
Maryland SDR during sports, also VG still on 17715 for S America, weak
17755 for Africa, and still NO N American frequency, supposed to be
9690, Remember, English scheduled Wednesdays only at 2300-2400, tho
last week started late (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY. 9660.018+, Sun Oct 23, S9+20/25 into UTwente, VOT English
new time and frequency: 1743 `The Pulse of Turkish Foreign Policy`.
1751 ``always-by-your-side`` promo, music. 1756 multi-lingual ID
filler reel. 1758 `Letterbox` theme, Cumre says it`s chilly in Ankara,
but glad she`s there since arriving as a university student in 2000.
Autumn is the best season.
1) Walter Grubehr?, Harz Mountain, Germany. Plans to visit Turkey
twice in Autumn and Spring; two reports. 2) Jamahar? Almeida, Goa,
India, has visited Istanbul and Ankara, loves the food such as
baklava, Turkish Delight. UN agency says Turkey is the
fourth-most-visited country with 56 megatourists [!] in 2024y. 3)
Mohammed Breyel, Malaysia, with extremely detailed reports. Will reply
not only with a QSL but a ``thank-you gift``. [has lite QRM from very
strong 9650 signal; HFCC B25 shows only two imaginary Russians at this
time]. 4) Jayanta Chakroborty, India, wants to contact that listener
in Finland called recently; maybe, station must respect privacy. 5) Mr
Blake Lindsay, Merced, California, heard Spanish on 9871 [sic]. 6)
Woman, Lin?, where? has not got any QSLs despite several letters and
reports. So here is another: Chinese, via UTwente heard. Meticulous
QSL manager says they were sent, maybe postal problem. 7) finally, Mr.
Peter Ice [? sounds like], Johore Bahru, Malaysia. 1820 wrapup, and
recites new English times and frequencies, but omits the 0400 one!
1822 theme (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Due to the Week of Confusion, DST off in Europe, still on in
North America, I expected WORLD OF RADIO airings on WRMI to be
affected. Had been at 1030 UT Sunday, some weeks ago confirmed not
only on 9955, but also 9395, 7780 and 7730. 1030 was the WOR time on
WRN feed being relayed. But WRN has already moved everything one UT
hour later, so at 1130 could we still be on any WRMI SW frequency? As
I prefer to sleep, asked others already awake to check. Tnx to Joe
Hanlon, Dave White, Zacharias Liangas, who all reported NO WORs to be
heard now at either time. Also I was awake anyway without really
trying and found the same. At 1040, 9955 was OFF, but 9395 was running
ads from Ireland, must be RTE via WRN as previously scheduled at 09-10
UT; 7730 JBA and 7780 slightly stronger JBA. By 1130, 7780 off, 9955
on with something else, 9395 with songs. If WOR continue on the System
B schedule at 6:30 am Sundays EST, maybe then will be at least on
stream at 1130 UT.
As Joe reported: ``Hi, no WOR on those 4 WRMI channels at 1030 UT
today (October 26). Heard RTE-Ireland on 9395 and 7780 at 1055 with
weather report. Checked 9395 and 9955 at 1130 on Oct. 26 but WOR is
not there; music on 9395 and gospel program on 9955. No signal on the
7 MHz channels you mentioned. Joe Hanlon, NJ``
``Hi Glenn, I was awake at 1130 UTC Sunday. I checked WRMI several
times on 5850, 7730, and 9395, and the signal was reasonably strong,
but your show wasn't on. I didn't hear a detectable signal on 7780 or
9955 although 9955 was easily copyable at 1201 UTC. I also checked all
the other WRMI frequencies on the WRMI schedule grid at
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pcIEX8kisrOPqlXHDAq6gympKUgDj0SIb96qce2kGGQ/edit?pli=1&gid=0#gid=0
using my receiver and several South Florida Web SDRs, but I actually
heard less detectable signals. I could hear a weak 15770 here, but it
wasn't strong enough to confirm if your show was on. Doug White,
KA5ETS, Using SDRplay SDRduo with SDRConnect and 53 ft vertical with
25 ft radials, Carrboro, NC``
Furthermore: ``World of Radio heard on IRRS this Sunday at 1030 on
9510 (+livestream).
According to their schedule, it should be the religious French
programme "Le siècle à venir"
https://www.nexus.org/member-services/radio-and-tv/schedules/sunday-program-schedule/
Regards, Jean-Michel Aubier, France`` -- That may have been a
one-off. Wolfgang Bueschel thinx it`s 100 kW via Saftica, Romania.
Also confirmed Sunday October 26 at 1947 the 1930 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 3975.002+, S9+5/15 into UTwente [and 6160 is off due to CRI
fill music service there]. Next:
