Glenn Hauser logs November 11-12, 2025
Thursday, November 13 2025

Logs
** BRAZIL. 28470 USB, Nov 12 at 2309, PU2MJH contacting someone in
Dallas. QRZ.com: ``PU2MJH Brazil flag Brazil, MARCELO HONORIO, R.
Higino Messa, 270 Vila curuca São Miguel Paulista, São Paulo, SP
08030570, Brazil`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11880 DA, 15140 dead air and windhowl, Nov 11 at 2045 during
alleged English hour from RHC, where something`s always wrong (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13780, 11880, 11760, Nov 11 at 2258, these RHCs are on and
modulating. 5990 at 2320 is S9+20/30 and suptorted during CRI relay.
Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, 15140 windhowl, 15230, Nov 12 at 1548, RHC only on
these three with some JBA modulation in Spanish (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 11880, Nov 12 at 1957, dead air direct from RHC; I think
there was some mod earlier; also 15140 with windhowl, no others. Still
no English by 2000. Strength of 11880 seemed to turnup before turnoff
about 2003*, when I find that 15140 has also offed. Somethings always
wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** JAPAN [and non]. 28405 USB, Nov 11 at 2305, JA1UTQ, 60 km W of
Tokyo, Katsu, with AC7RX, 80 km west of Mt Rainier in WA, Greg.
Compliments to JA1UTQ on his English, doesn`t seem to have a typical
Japanese accent but says his vocabulary is limited. They discuss
mountain views, fall colors. QRZ.com:

``JA1UTQ Japan flag Japan, KATSUMI HAGIWARA, 2-191-2 HATANAKA, OME
198-0061, TOKYO, Japan``
``AC7RX USA flag USA, Greg A Falxa, 5230 Cushman Rd NE, Olympia, WA
98506, USA`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 28276 CW, Nov 12 at 1913, dash and XE1JAL/B, the OSOB, no
other beacons nor phones heard on 10m in very degraded propagation. A
bit of sporadic E nonetheless. Often heard before. WGB list: ``28276.0
XE1JAL/B - Xalapa Veracruz MEX EK19mm - #0/1 (10 Nov 2025) Note: ID +
grid + 3" carrier`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 12030, Wed Nov 12 at 2300, accurate timesignal and Spanish
not English, ``Radio Exterior, la voz de España en el mundo``, 2301
finally open weekly English with Marilyn Quintana only, introducing
topix such as current state of democracy, 2304 Lebanon correspondent
about problems with Israel. Fading + accents + rate of speech hinder
full comprehension, as hard as I try. 12030 direct is best despite off
the back of ME beam; still NO 9690 to N America which would have been
much better readable; audible on 17715 weaker to SAm, and 17755 trace
to Africa (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960.002, Nov 12 at 2258, VOT IS & IDs in English, S9/+10
direct but insuff vs noise level. Much better at 2328 into NH SDR with
`Sports Panorama`, a waste. At 2355 into UTwente, when measured, S9+25
at s/off into IS. 2356 pause and restart IS with German IDs, 2400
opening extraneous German, 2410 Sports Panorama, 2433 still going
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28275 CW, Nov 12 at 2306, E10 VVV DE KA7TXS/B, fast. WGB
list: ``28275.0 KA7TXS - Marana AZ USA DM42jk - #0 (15 Feb 2024) Note:
ID + grid + EEE - Pwr 5w - Ex 28206.5 in Yuma AZ`` -

QRZ.com: ``KA7TXS USA flag USA, John A. Schwamm, JOHN A SCHWAMM, SR,
5641 N Sunset Heights Circle, Marana, AZ 85743, USA

I don't have much to brag about, but I would greatly appreciate any
email messages (ka7txs@gmail.com) confirming that you can hear my
10-meter CW Beacon on the coordinated frequency of 28.2750 MHz. The
KA7TXS/B Beacon is "On the Air" 24 hours a day. The Beacon runs 5
watts of RF into a 10-meter A99 vertical. Take a LISTEN and please
drop me a note if you hear it. It would also be great if you could
sign my "WEB" visitor page here on QRZ!

10 Meter Beacon: My 10 Meter Beacon (28.2750 MHz) is a custom-made
beacon from Vlad, AA7DJ. The beacon comprises a synthesizer board with
a PLL chip, VCO, crystal reference, and microcontroller. AA7DJ builds
and programs these very nice beacons. You provide the power
(12-13.8vdc) and an antenna. Mine is connected to an A-99 10-meter
Vertical at a height of 15 ft. Here is a link to his QRZ page`` -
https://www.qrz.com/db/AA7DJ (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2320 monitoring: ``Note: Best part
of programming was heard on 17790! Sat, Nov 8, 2025. 2230-2259, WRMI -
Glenn Hauser WOR, Okeechobee-FL, in English to LAm. Opening of the
program World of Radio: Glenn Hauser says about the program and all
names of the country logs; Now, he says all logs, in details; 2250
Reading logs in progress; 2259 Ending. Fair reception: 35543. Parallel
on 15770oke, 25422. JRX (José Ronaldo Xavier), Cabedelo-PB, Brazil
(UTC-3)``

Confirmed UT Wednesday Nov 12 at 0030 on SW Gold Radio, Germany, 3975,
JBA into UTwente and DL7APL remotes. Not 2330 Tue as I still had in
``next`` schedule. So I look up all the correct times for this week
and next, at least:

WOR is always preceded at the top of each hour by `CQ Serenade` in
English and German. Or rather, WOR is considered part of `CQS`.
Times and days strictly UT on 3975 and/or 6160:

Fri 2330 3
Sat 1530 3 & 6
Sat 1830 3
Sun 2230 3
Mon 0930 6
Mon 2030 3
Wed 0030 3
Wed 2030 3
Thu 1730 3 & 6
https://shortwaveradio.de/en/week47-2025

Missed checking UT Wednesday November 12 at 0130 on WRMI 9395; anyone
hear it?

Also missed checking Wednesday November 12 at 2030 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 3975; anyone?

Also confirmed Wednesday November 12 at 2200 on WBCQ 7490 -52 Hz =
7489.948, S9+15 into NH SDR, after gospel huxter interrupted for ID
and WOR. Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.

** U S A. 15770, Nov 11 at 2300, this WRMI-9 airs Polish Radio ES in
English, whilst 17790 WRMI-7 airs R Taiwan Intl in French. Xmtr grid
shows at 2300 Prague in French on 17790 System H, but System H sked
shows Prague in French at 2300 only on 5850, 7730. While 15570 is on
System K, which in turn shows 23-24 M-F WRN. WRN B25 shows 23-24 daily
Poland, in English, i.e. 15770. In the program grids, 17790 at 23-24
is found instead on System E with WRN. Is all of this unclear?
Somethings odd at Okeechobee (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15770, Nov 12 at 2313, Polish Radio ES via WRN via WRMI, VG
S9+30 direct. Announcer has an interesting accent but totally
comprehensible. At same time, 17790, Taiwan in French S9+20/30 but
modulation breakup, not a reception defect (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
