** ALASKA [non?]. 4380-4490 approx., Nov 18 at 0125 regular swirshing
once per second across this range, S6/S7 into VE6JY remote in Alberta.
HAARP experiment currently underway, per
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JY5CvrBZyYsG9rMi__YmJFLTywukSknt/view
and Walt Salmaniw says: ``Just looked and there they are at 00:36 on
centered 4465. Walt (Masset)``
Could easily be mistaken for CODAR. The bandwidth varies slightly, by
0145, 4450-4760. Thought this would be too early, but at 0150 I`m
getting that direct, altho faster swirshes around 4455 approx. Still
at 0256 and at 0346 after supposed 0330 finish per sked, 4434-4501.
Visually on H2Ofall there are very regular slightly tilted horizontal
lines. Oh, oh, Walt follows up:
``As for my 4465, I’m now thinking that it wasn’t HAARP, but just a
form of CODAR. That signal is still on after 0330, when they should
have finished. I’m not sure about 6900. 73, Walt`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** CHINA. 7430.084, Nov 17 at 2318, S9+20/30 of Chinese? music, then
conversation I finally decide is in Khmer. Bingo, CRI Cambodian listed
via Nanning 954 site, which is just NE of Hanoi. Incredibly strong
signal direct for something so far aimed away, and incredibly far
off-frequency for a ChiCom unit, at first estimated 7430.1; then at
2343 into Cha-Am Thailand SDR, which is accurately calibrated when
measured, S9+15/32. HFCC shows 100 kW at 200 degrees from NNN. Is
Nanning known for other skewed frequencies? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 15140, Nov 17 at 2307, this RHC still on way late, S9+20 dead
air except for windhowl. SAWA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA [non]. 11930 & 7355, Nov 17 at 2315, R. Martí still on here
with what else? baseball talk, but not on 15380, 13820, 13570, 11860,
6030 or any other 7 MHz frequency. Forgot to check 9565, but it`s on
at 0020 Nov 18, with LAH = low audible het into Georgia SDR. Nothing
else listed now on 9565, and in EiBi, not even RM. FWIW, we never hear
any signs of Cuban jamming anymore against the revived OCB (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** JAPAN. 28445 USB, Nov 17 at 2314, 7L4LKK in contact with a VE6.
Never got that prefix before, where? QRZ.com: ``7L4LKK Japan flag
Japan, MICHIO HASEGAWA, 3-95-2 Tomae Mito-city, Ibaraki, 3111136,
Japan -- My callsign: I was born in 1960's and started amateur radio
in 1977. My first callsign was JH7XZU. About 30 years ago, I moved
from JA7 area into JA1 area which includes Tokyo. In those days, there
were so many amateur radio stations in JA1 area. Since we run out of
all J letter prefixes in JA1 area, I was assigned a new type of prefix
7L4 instead of J letter prefix such as JA1, JH1, JR1. Therefore my
callsign is not a special callsign nor an event callsign. As far as I
know, 7K, 7L, 7M, and 7N were assigned for amateur radio stations in
those days. However these 7 letter prefixes are not assigned anymore
and the latest prefix for new comers is JS in Japan.`` Also scenery
and equipment on his page (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 9930, Nov 17 at 2305 TOMBS overmodulated &
distorted on WTWW. Cool it, Ralph! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.002-, Nov 17 at 2303, VOT S9/+10 direct but
insuff vs noise level. At 2349 into UTwente when measured, S9+20/30
during Turkish music; 2354 s/off as if 1330 on 13635, something`s
always awry at Ankara; 2355 IS; 2356 pause and restart IS with German
IDs; 0000 Nov 18 s/on extraneous German and still going past 0015+;
not listening closely but off circa 0030 uncovering Chinese.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2321 monitoring: confirmed Monday

Serenade` hour, always preceded by `Amateur Radio Newsline` until
2023, then ADDX news in German.
