Hauser
** CHINA. 6865 AM, Dec 24 at 2308 talk unseems Chinese but must be
CNR1 jammer vs Sound of Hope, S9/+10 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Dec 24 at 1532, RHC music S9+10/20 mixed with windhowl
here; something`s always wrong at RHC. Also music in clear on 15230
S6/S7 and at 1536, S7 on 11760. At 2001 when English should be heard,
15140 is only howling at S9, and 11880 air is dead at S7 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GERMANY [non]. 15770, Dec 24 at 1840, this WRMI is in German,
turned over to NDR for annual Xmas eve special, `Gruß an Bord`.
Sufficient reception S9+5 into Maryland SDR so I don`t try to track
down all the other sites and frequencies. The first hour I think was
just lead-in? At 1901 officially underway with what else, a song in
English, ``Hey, Take Me Away``. Almost all talk, YL host interviewing
sailors in German, apparently recorded a couple weeks ago. At 1908
it`s a Filipino so they converse in English! and she summarizes in
German; said would be asea on Xmas day on way to Singapore. And then
another Filipino visiting Hamburg. 1919 some sounds of traffic in
Manila; 1930 song, etc., etc. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** JAPAN. 28430 USB, Dec 24 at 2303, JA1UTQ in contact with a KM6, in
USA I think, not Midway! among fewsigs on 10m, also the reliable
28555, JG1OUT. QRZ.com: ``JA1UTQ Japan flag Japan, KATSUMI HAGIWARA,
2-191-2 HATANAKA, OME 198-0061, TOKYO, Japan`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6965 USB, Dec 24 at 2307, S9+10, ``Do You Hear What
I Hear/See/etc.?``, other Xmasmx. These say it`s WTF Radio Worldwide:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,155943.0.html
with some neat Xmassy H2Ofall images (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. Visiting downtown for nothing in P O Box 1684, circa 2100
UT Dec 24, dead air in $ tereo instead of music is back on 95.1, also
93.1; and to the southwest, 1680 Virtual DJ Radio still going with
Xmas mx (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. Unseasonably warm weather has led to tropo TVDX. Dec 24
at 1550 UT am getting decodes on several Tulsa-area market channels,
such as RF 36, 34, 28, 26, 11; notably RF 14 with ``ABC``, i.e. 8-1
KTUL. IIRC they used to be on RF 10. Rabbitears.info has all the KTUL
subchannels duplicated on RF 24, but that`s way off in McAlester.
Near-/or record-breaking hightemps, in Enid 78 degrees (Glenn Hauser,
Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Wed Dec 24 at 2325, S9+40 direct, REE in Spanish with
Xmas story, as we were forewarned their token English hour would be
blown away for a domestic relay (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Dec 24 at 2258, VOT English ID & IS, S9/+10 direct,
so not off the air; by 2325 inferior signal into Maryland SDR. By 2358
not not off the air into UTwente, failing to override ChiCom with
extraneous German (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. 9310, Dec 24 at 1537, Korean at S9+15/20, incomparably
biggersig than 9330 WBCQ, 9395 WRMI. It`s VOA via Tinang, PHILIPPINES,
no doubt on 21 degree beam not only toward N Korea but onward to deep
USA. Was reactivated Dec 16, at 1530-1545 only with newscast played
thrice. WOR iog monitors have been reporting it, but first time I`ve
checked it. One ran it thru translation, and guess what, the `news`
was all about *rump. So it`s really ``VOT``. Korean is easily
recognized by the word ``imnida`` at end of sentences every few
seconds. Or is it inmida? What does it mean, period? I don`t have it
Roman-spelt well enough for Google to translate (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2326 monitoring: I missed checking
the Saturday December 20 at 2230 on WRMI 15770 & 17790, but got a
report with AV recording of that on 17790 from Atsuhiko Takezawa,
Nagoya, Japan. Tnx!

Confirmed UT Wednesday December 24 at 0033 the 0030 on SW Radio Gold,
Germany, 3975.002+, S8 but noisy into UTwente.

Also confirmed UT Wednesday December 24 at 0131 the 0130 on WRMI 9395,
S9+15/20 direct.

Also confirmed Wednesday December 24 at 2030 on SW Radio Gold,
Germany, 3975+, JBA into recommended Bedford UK SDR, JBA carrier into
UTwente.

Also confirmed Wednesday December 24 at 2200 on WBCQ, 7490 -26 Hz =
7489.974, Sufficient into Maryland SDR, Brother Scare having been
chopped off at 2200 for ID and WOR. Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.

As a noncommercial public service program, financial support
appreciated. Thanks this week to Gerald T. Pollard, Raleigh NC, for a
check celebrating the Solstice to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK
73702

One may also contribute, not necessarily in US funds via PayPal to:
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1100, additional info to my WZFG log from ARC mv-eko Dec
23:
``1100 WZFG Dilworth MN – Granted STA extension, U1 50000/110 (ch
5000)``
-- originally via IRCA and/or NRC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNSOLICITED TESTIMONIALS

``Glenn, allow me to honor your lifetime radio service, and in
particular, your dedication to the international shortwave radio
world. Your international standing among the DXing fraternity is most
remarkable. I am now 94 years old. Christmas and New Year greetings,
and God bless, Adrian M. Peterson, Martinsville, IN`` - with a hefty
640-page book, `The Desire of Ages`, which he ``might add, this is the
best book I have ever read on the life story of Jesus``. Adrian, of
course, deserves equal plaudits for his many years of scripting AWR DX
programs, Radio Monitors International, Wavescan (gh)

With seasonal greetings, this report dispatched at 0020 UT Dec 25
