Logs
** BRAZIL. 6180 & 11780, Jan 2 at 0750, no signals from RNA for token
English; both off, or degraded prop? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 9710, Jan 2 at 0451, S7/S9 of dead air from RHC, and 6000 is
off the air. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ETHIOPIA. 6110, Jan 2 at 0445, S7/S9 of dead air direct. Only thing
sked at this time is R. Fana, starting at 0255 or 0300. Still there
past 0500 into Georgia SDR. Sunrise at Āddīs Ābebā was 0341 UT today,
so 100 kW could still be propagating for a while longer. Something`s
egregious in Ethiopia (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 21580, Jan 2 at 1604, JBA signal, must be RFI in Hausa this
hour, the OSOB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 1680, Jan 2 circa 2100 UT, Virtual DJ Radio relay from
unknown site in S central Enid is still going and audible noisily with
pop music as far as downtown central Enid. Another week, another
month, another year. Also the two low-power deadairs in $ tereo circa
downtown on 93.1 and 95.1 (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** TURKEY. 6125, Jan 2 at 0446 check direct whether VOT be on air for
English - familiar segment theme, but not in English! Sounds like
Turkish. What about // 7285? NO signal there. Both were missing last
night. The Turkish language frequency now is 9650, and bingo, there
it is weaker // 6125, so the WRONG LANGUAGE is going out on 6125!
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler. Final check at 0457 into
Georgia SDR, 6125 is off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. With noise level down to *only* S5/S6 in this LW+ part of
the spectrum, a few less usual ND beacons are audiblized, Jan 2 at
0729-0734 UT in MCW:
251, AM, Amarillo TX
255, SW, Stillwater OK - NO signal, must be off again
272, JBA carrier; as I noted Dec 2 from RNA list, possibilities:
MI, IL, TX, IL, WI, TX, AK, Lord Howe Island
338, RYN, Tucson AZ
397, JBA carrier, most likely JE, JeffErson City MO
426, UV, Oxford MS
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

BC, Friday January 2 at 1312 the 1300 on WRMI 15770, S9/S8 direct.

Also confirmed Friday January 2 at 2130 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,
1322.998+, S9+5 into UTwente but noisy and fading and occasional CCI.

UNIDENTIFIED. 810.57, Jan 2 at 0749 UT, het against 810.00 WHB.
Meanwhile, Greg Hardison suggests: ``Glenn: — Seemingly hearing your
het on 810.57, as close as I can nail it on the Orem [Utah] SDR,
staying steady against the "KSFO" effluence of fascist spew. Any
semblance of associated audio seems to be musical in nature, as
opposed to spoken word. Of course, tho', nothing strong enough to be
of any more use. KXOI [Crane TX] is certainly a viable theory, but
the Lubbock SDR is offline, and if anything, there's a hi-het against
WHB on the Austin SDR, that seems to be lower in freq than 810.57,
with NO discernable audio — the Austin het could even be imaginary on
my part; it is that measly. "Conclusion", as it were: I still have my
suspicions about KBHB Sturgis being somehow involved — for what that
may be worth. KBHB featuring pop-country mx on their webstream
tonight. 73z, for a judicious 2026, The other G H``

This thing has been mystifying since last February. Time to review
lots of initial reports about it, within:

** U S A. 1430, re my unID, maybe KMES Ogden UT, Tim Hall sends a clip
of his catch, sounds like same ID, but complete: ``1430, KMES, Ogden,
Salt Lake City, Esne Radio`` -- I guess the word is ``Esne`` as in NRC
AM Log. Tnx, Tim. A deep dig into their website finally finds what it
stand for rather cumbersomely: ``El Sembrador Nueva Evangelización``
Sembrador = Sower (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11472-11522 approx., Jan 2 at 1606, multi-carrier,
multi-tones beating against each other, peaking S9 amid. This may or
may not be pertinent to it, since never IDed:

Via Benn Kobb, FCC has informed `experimental` stations such as WL2XEE
that they must start IDing in clear AM voice or Morse Code, following
complaints of QRM from other spectrum users; changing policy which had
``waived`` ID requirements:

``Station ID is mentioned on both pages 1 and 2 of this letter.
https://apps.fcc.gov/els/GetAtt.html?id=389975&x=
I will also cover this in my next Experimental Radio News, coming Real
Soon Now. BK`` Viz.:

``Station identification – unless specifically exempted by the terms
of the station authorization, an experimental radio station shall
transmit its assigned call sign at the end of each complete
transmission at least once every thirty minutes in clear voice or
Morse code, with all digital encoding and digital modulation disabled
during station identification`` - still, listening to such noise for
30+ minutes to catch an ID would be a task. Address in NYC, but where
exactly is WL2XEE? FCC LMS search can`t find it.

Broad search leads to:
https://groups.io/g/radiofromaroundtheworld/topics
Almost all of this is Richard Clifford, reposting stuff from our WOR
iogroup to 15 members. Including an item about WL2XEE in Aurora IL
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
