Hauser
** BRAZIL. 11780, Jan 3 at 0750 UT, RNA VG S9/+20 unlike missing last
night, but no token English, rather music and Portuguese. So
apparently English can be UT M-F only, not UT Sat. Little if any
signal on 6180 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 2598 USB, Jan 3 at 0749 UT, marine weather by YL robovoice,
mentions ``south coast``. Per DXinfocentre.com/mb.htm it`s the first
broadcast of the day starting at 0737 from VCP-4, Placentia. Five
other Newfoundland stations/sites rotate sharing time on 2598.

2749 USB, Jan 3 at 0752 UT, marine weather by YL robovoice. Sounds
same as 2598 but unlikely //, and unusually this is weaker than 2598
which is further. This is only 550 watts, while Placentia on 2598 is
3000 watts. Per DXinfocentre.com/mb.htm it`s the first broadcast of
the day from VCO Sydney NS starting at 0740. Three other NS
stations/sites rotate sharing time on 2749. There are two other
Canadian CG frequencies further north, 2514 and 2582, but only in
``daytime`` and never heard here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA. 1100.28, Jan 3 at 0709, JBA carrier hetting WTAM 1100,
again presumed HJAT Barranquilla, as Neil Kazaross reported a month
ago. Not yet in mwoffsets but no other entry anywhere near that far
above 1100 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Jan 3 at 2004, S7/9+30 of dead air direct in English,
unseems howly now, and // 11880, S8/S9 dead air in English from RHC
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2328 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
January 3 at 0954 when I happen to awaken, the 0930 on WRMI 7570,
S9+5/20 direct, and not on 9455 which is not even on the air between
04 & 23, yet continues to be shown on the WRMI blue System D sked. Nor
WOR on any other WRMI frequency audible now.

Confirmed not on air Sat Jan 3 at 1555 the 1530 on SW Radio Gold,
Germany, instead TRSW music into UTwente, but should resume next week
also on 6160.

Confirmed Saturday January 3 at 1630 on WRMI 9955. S9+35 into Georgia
SDR.

Also confirmed Saturday January 3 at 1700 on WRN via WRMI, 9395 at
S9+35 and 7730 S7 into Georgia SDR. Usual rough start, ``Welcome to
Encore`` --- then pause and change to WOR. Next:

** U S A. 1700 kHz, Jan 3 at 0745 UT, ``94.5`` mentioned in English.
Evidently usual dominant and closest, SS KKLF The Metroplex TX is
still missing, as is KBGG Des Moines; and not KVNS Bronwsville TX
heard recently since it`s Fox Sports. Of the few stations left on
1700, NRC AM Log shows one with an FM on 94.5: WEUP Huntsville AL, U1
10/1 kW, in group ``Worship 94.5``. WTFDA FMDB shows that`s really
W233BR in Moores Mill AL, 250 watts, urban gospel format, ``The
Heritage Station 1700 AM`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 810.58, Jan 3 at 0705 UT, mystery JBA carrier hetting
810.00 stations (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1190, Jan 3 at 0710 UT, ``Aquí Radio Éxitos`` - but no
such slogan listed anywhere in mwlist, WRTH 2026, NRC AM Log, IRCA
Mexican Log - checking not only most likely Mexico, but all of Latin
America. The closest name: WLIB NYC ``La Exitosa`` -- would be
surprised to hear them in OK. And, XEMBC Mexicali BCN only 250/100
watts includes ``Grandes Éxitos`` among its slogans. The XE usually
heard on 1190 is XEPZ, Ciudad Juárez Chih, 1000/250 watts which
is/was: ``Máxima 99.1, tu Estilo de Vida``. It would be nice if a DXer
in El Paso could confirm whether it`s now called Radio Éxitos. The
closest Kiwi in Truth or Consequences is too far, only trace of an
1190 signal in daytime (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
