** COLOMBIA. From Arctic Radio Club mv-eko Jan 19, logs corresponding to my off-frequency carrier DX:
``1100 2.1 0300 HJAT Caracol R, Barranquilla har ”spårat ur”. Kändes igen på Caracols juljingel (1100,284) JE = Jan Edh, Hudiksvall – lyssnar-QTH i Fredriksfors. NetSDR. RÅ = Lisette Åkesson, Bjärred – Kiwi på Hallandsåsen.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA [and non]. 670, Jan 20 at 0736 UT, Cuban music capturing from WSCR; Rebelde, of course, as // 5025 which happens to be not only on the air now but modulating. WRTH 2026 has a dozen Rebeldes on 670, two of them 50 kW. Under non-auroral condx, WSCR owns 670 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** IRAN [non]. CORREXION: not 13784.986 but should be 13754.986 - misread my own original scribble: 13754.986, Jan 13 at 1624, talk presumed Persian and music bits, S8/S9 with fading into UTwente, no jamming audible, 1630 R. Farda ID in passing. Almost faded out by 1640. Contradictory schedules have emerged since my last report, but here it is now, presumably via offfrequency UAE site. Own website claims 13765, not 13755: https://www.radiofarda.com/a/28949345.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2330 monitoring: confirmed Monday January 19 at 2040 the 2030 on SW Radio Gold, Germany, 3974.986, JBA into UTwente, further offfrequency than usual; also JBA into Bedford UK SDR; somewhat better into Noale, Italy, SDR, S7/S9 but noisy. Also confirmed UT Tuesday January 20 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S9 into S Texas SDR. Also confirmed Tuesday January 20 at 1402 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, S9+10 direct. Also confirmed Tuesday January 20 at 1516 the 1500 on WRMI 9955, S8/S9 direct. Next: 2100 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323; 0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 0130 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160. As a noncommercial public service program, financial support appreciated. Thanks this week to Terry Colgan of Texas Radio SW for a contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com, and says, ``Thanks for another year of dedication to keeping listeners and DXers up to date on the state of shortwave radio.`` One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Major geomag storm affecting propagation: Jan 19 at 2212, 17525 WMLK has heavy Doppler flutter, S9/+10; 17790 & 15770 WRMIs also heavy; 13845 WWCR some Dfl; but 13570 R Marti, and at 2218 11880, S9+20 deadair from RHC without Doppler flutter (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9395, Mon Jan 19 at 2220, `On the Media` S9+20/30 via WRMI with funding credits, break for announcement about experimental SW segment on WRMI, for Season 2 of `Divided Dial` inviting SWLs to send voice messages, and we hear a few, from Todd, someone and Lynn. 2223 back to show about Epstein, DOJ, Dan Bongino, etc. Refers to events on days of week like Wednesday, Thursday as if a new weekly show. Suspect it`s really *still* an old episode, and indeed I hear exactly the same thing when I monitor the *only* OTM on the WRMI server, dated March 1, 2025! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 910 kHz, Jan 20 at 0730 UT, BBC news. Surely WSUI Iowa City, which used to be a WORLD OF RADIO affiliate. The only NPR station on 910, and no Canadians. Program sked shows indeed with BBCWS overnight. Seldom heard here. U2 5/4 kW. Night pattern has notch to the SSW but minor lobe to SW: https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WSUI&service=AM&h=N (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 980 kHz, Jan 20 at 0731 UT, ``Be Still My Soul`` hymn solo in English, so not KMBZ with `C2CAM`, during auroral conditions. Nothing to south but maybe WYFN Nashville, less unlikely than a few other RELs listed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 2006 UT January 20
