Hauser
** BRAZIL [and non]. 6010.1 & 6010.0 approx., Feb 1 at 0743 contrary
to my recent comments, seem to be two JBA signals direct making low
het, some music, some talk, languages not clear, i.e. both R.
Inconfidência, Brasil and LV de tu Conciencia, COLOMBIA (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CANADA. Several NDBs audible, not just YXL, Feb 1 at 0720-0728 UT:
250 MCW kHz, dash and FO: 1600 watts at Flin FlOn MB;
300 MCW kHz, dash and YIV, 500 watts at Island Lake MB;
346 MCW kHz, dash and YXL, 500 watts at SiouX Lookout MB;
351 MCW kHz, dash and YKQ, 500 watts at WasKaganish QC;
353 MCW kHz, dash and PG, 25 watts at PortaGe la Prairie MB;
382 MCW kHz, dash and YPL, 1000 watts at Pickle Lake MB;
per listings at dxinfocentre.com/ndb.htm
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 2598 USB, Feb 1 at 0747 UT, marine weather by artificial
YL, S9+20; said next forecast would be at 1-0-0-0 AST. Per EiBi at
0737-0805 it`s VCP, Placentia, Newfoundland, site St Lawrence NL.

2749 USB, Feb 1 at 0749 UT, marine weather by same artificial YL voice
as 2598,, S9 direct. Per EiBI at 0740-0800 it`s VCO Sydney NS, site
Port Caledonia NS. Both these with best signals heard in a long time
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA [and non]. 13650, Jan 31 at 2330, relay via CUBA not off the
air, but usual continuous Chinese music fill instead of Portuguese.
2358 announcing full sked of Portuguese, with Brazilian accent; for
Europe, and then I copied for Africa, 2200 on 9410, 9685; America 2300
on 6100, 13650, 15600; 0000 on 6100, 9710, 15600; 1930-2000 on 11640,
13630 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15230, Sun Feb 1 at 1558, only RHC on air, JBA S5/S6 direct,
no 15140, 11880 or 11760. 1601 IS and opening weekly Esperanto. At
1615 into Georgia remote, S9/+10 with song in Esperanto about ``La
Mondo``. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ESWATINI. 11880, Feb 1 at 1520 somelang here VP instead of RHC.
Must be listed TWR Swaziland as sked in Somali 1500-1530. Could be
longpath. I hear it mispronounced by newscasters; it`s Eswátini (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 800 kHz, Feb 1 at 0759 UT, distorted audio QRMing KQCV OKC
Bott gospel huxtering. Have been noting this for long time, as assumed
to be XEERG, Ojo de Agua, NL, as tracked down months ago in daytime
via remotes. Or not? Feb 1 at 1705 UT into Monterrey SDR, clear audio.
Maybe it`s a night thing when 2.5 kW transmitter instead of 10 kW day?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 6125, Feb 1 circa 0410, VOT English not off the air, fair
direct, but no signal on // 7285 for ME, off or notprop? BTW, in WRTH
2026 International pages, 627, TÜRKIYE comes before TAIWAN since
U-umlaut precedes A in their alfabet (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9660.018+, Sun Feb 1 at 1742, VOT Engish with `Letterbox`,
S9+10/25 into UTwente, with rapid clickery QRM. Cemre says it`s been a
hectic week at the office, just remembered she had to send a QSL card
to someone. Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, India, Panama this week: 1) Mr
Francis Loler??, Dublin, Ireland: listened via UTwente, 5960 has
Chinese QRM, and is sometimes missing, as per some DX program[!]. 2)
Simon? --?, Rome, Italy, heard Italian on 11970. 3) Mr Mohammed
Breyel?, KL, Malaysia, 9490 at 1630 in Persian. 4) Siddhartha
Papajarjee, India, heard 9660. Is World Leprosy Day celebrated in
Turkey, how many lepers? It`s the last Sunday in Jan, only by
advocates, very few, less than 5 annually. 5) Ricky Hein, South
Dakota continues to complain about bad reception on 5960, 6125, sorry
they have not been able to improve it. 6) Víctor Gutiérrez, Panamá,
English on 7265 - Cemre does not question this, presumably meant 7275.
7) SWL club in India, some on own rx, or via UTwente, 0400 on 6125 -
which is to NAm! 1757 closing, 1758 theme (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

As a noncommercial public service program, financial support
appreciated. Thanks this week to Gary Drew, Cranfield UK, for a
contribution via PayPal not necessarily in US funds to woradio at
yahoo.com And says: ``Hi Glenn. many thanks for the regular programmes
of World of Radio and the legacy of archives online. Long may it
continue. Wishing you Good Health and happiness for 2026 from Gary and
on behalf of everyone at Laser International``

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702

** U S A. 13845 Feb 1 at 1557, and 12160 after 1600, WWCRs still off
the air (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 790, Feb 1 at 0800 UT, ID as ``104.7 and Mighty 790
KSPO``?, into CBS news // 780 WBBM not synch. Must be KFGO Fargo ND as
everything else fits, U2 5/5 kW. Night pattern has minor lobe to S,
notch to the SW, site right along the River, so is it really in MN?
See my last log of April 11, 2025, where this was still undetermined
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
