more samba-school stuff, but about RNA`s own early history, at Parque
Rodeador. Believe I have heard this before, so not really new. Was
started during military dictatorship 50 years ago in 1974, to counter
hostile Cold War broadcasts into Brasil in Portuguese, such as RHC.
Speakerine Nathália Mendes. 0755 into Spanish. This time much weaker

at Island Lake MB.

wailing music atop some other music, i.e. CHLO Brampton ON,
``multilingual``, per https://am530.ca/ `Punjabi Llehran` at 0400-0900
UT Fridays on the sked at the end of Thursday! NRC AM Log calls it
``Multicultural``, U1 1000/250 watts. The other being R. Enciclopedia,
Cuba, which had been reported missing lately; it`s *not* overflowing
with info, rather EZL music. Normally CMBQ is dominant on 530, 10 kW?

Military into PEI SDR; nor several random chex later direct, nor at
night on 6754 USB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 9660, Feb 20 at 1520, nice music S9 one of stronger signals.
CNR1 jammer and RTI listed until 1600, but only one signal heard and I
bet it`s the jammer from Kunming per Aoki. Many other JBA signals on
31mb, likely mostly China (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 9710, Feb 20 at 0713, S5 of dead air; and 11760, S9 of dead
air with windhowl, somethings always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** KOREA NORTH. 9435, Feb 20 at 1517, VOK in stilted English about the
Workers` Party, yawn. Should be // on 11710 also to NAm, but too weak
to be sure. Also to Eu on 7570, 12015 per WRTH (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 275 MCW kHz, Feb 20 at 0747 UT, HIN, 25-watt NDB at Chadron
NE. Believe this one is new for me; some others rarely heard but
audible now:

305 MCW kHz, Feb 20 at 0749 UT, RO, 150 watts at ROswell NM has some
weaker CCI, one letter I copy from it is O. The only other 305 in USA
is OI, 25 watts at Sioux City IA.

365 MCW kHz, Feb 20 at 0800 UT, AA, 100-watt NDB at Fargo ND really
transriver in MN.

383 MCW kHz, Feb 20 at 0804 UT, CNP, 25-watt NDB at Chappell NE.

400 MCW kHz, Feb 20 at 0805 UT, AHQ, 25-watt NDB at wAHoo NE, and with
something else mixing. Seven others in NAm, closest being AI, 30 watts

UNIDENTIFIED. 1070, Feb 20 at 0734 UT, in continued absence of KFTI
Wichita, `Scott Jennings Show`. Broad search on show and frequency
lead to AM 1070 THE ANSWER in Houston TX, i.e. KNTH. Trouble is, on
their program sked, he`s at noon to 2 pm = 18-20 UT, with something
else at 1:34 am. KNTH gives the impression he`s local originating
there, but is probably on other Salem stations. No affiliate list to
be found on show website (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
