Glenn Hauser logs March 28-29, 2026
Sunday, March 29 2026

Hauser
A26 DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS, WOR SCHEDULE UPDATED, AND WOR HITLIST have
already been sent separately to this same mailing list, q.v.

** COLOMBIA. 28612 USB, March 28 at 1935, HK1T wih quick contest
contacts. QRZ.com: ``HK1T Colombia flag Colombia, Salim (Sal) Gechem
R., Barranquilla, Atlantico, Colombia`` Hardlyany phonehams venture
above 28.5, let alone 28.6 MHz (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. Re: ``[non]. 530, March 28 at 0655 UT, JBA music, too weak to
be R.
Enciclopedia if on; that leaves CHLO Ontario (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)``

``Hello Glenn, FYI, Encic 530 has been running at low power for at
least several weeks, compared to their historical baseline. No doubt
apagón related. The Rebelde tx on Isla de la Juventud has been burying
them most of the time here. David E. Crawford, Indian River City,
Florida Libre`` (via Glenn Hauser, WOR)

** MADEIRA. 28559 USB, March 28 at 1933, CQ2W making quick contest
contacts. Not in QRZ.com, but three contacts around this time in
dxheat/cluster (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 28459 USB, March 28 at 1930, XE1YL, making quick
contest contacts in Spanish, English, QRZ? QRZ.com: ``XE1YL Mexico flag
Mexico, Patricia Mohedano,
Plazuela del Refugio 1429, Col. Plazas de Amalucan Puebla Pue., PU
72310, Mexico`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 6125.003+, S9+20/30 & 7285.018-, S9/+15 into UTwente, Mar
29 at *0359, VOT cuts on with IS, timesignal, and opening Malay!!!
It`s A26 now and Malay should be on 17720 only, one UT hour earlier
than 05 in the B-season. Those were the English! frequencies at 0400
in the B-season; missed checking, but English is now to be at 0300 on
6165 & 7275, and the targets exchanged between S Asia and N America.
So they`ve got the wrong language AND on the wrong frequencies! At
0440 still on 6125 & 7285, nothing on 17720. Something`s extremely
erroneous at Emirler - if not awry at Ankara. Will they get this
unraveled by 24 hours later? Also: why does VOT make one-hour shifts
between A and B seasons? Turkey does NOT observe DST, stays at UT+3,
and many of its targets, including India and Malaysia, do not either!
No wonder they get unnecessarily confused (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
