Hauser
** SPAIN. Re 17715 three days of dead air and other REE anomalies, Ken
Zichi replies:

``Indeed, and last season when 9690 was absent for months at a time
they even tried to 'gas-light' me claiming it WAS on the air and people
were reporting it. When I 'called them out' and said that someone at
Noblejas was not being straight with them, it got suspiciously quiet.
I keep coming back to the 'truism': "If you don't broadcast, people
won't listen" ..... I mean, isn't that obvious? 73 //Ken Z``

Make that *four* days: still DA May 1 at 2033 into Maryland SDR,
S6/S7, while 15500 & 15520 are modulating normally (Glenn Hauser,

Thursday evenings each week to catch the new WOR.``

** U S A. Re: "1230 kHz, Apr 30 at 0705 UT, weather but no clue to
location, and ID sounds like KXJB? on 98.9 FM. The WTFDA FM Database
is offline as I want to search for a match, so I look thru all 150 US
stations on 1230 in the NRC AM Log, no // 98.9 shown until almost the
end, WXCO Wausau WI, with W255DN, TLK format. Later WTFDA FMDB is
back, and makes exactly the same single hit. So maybe. WBBZ Ponca City
OK is far enough not to own 1230 at night, but close enough usually to
be in the mix (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)"

``Possibly KFJB? Their translator is on 93.9. 73 Tim Hall``

{some AI butts in with this along with above email: ``Suggested reply:
Tim, Good point on KFJB. I'll check that translator frequency. Glenn``
GO AWAY! I don`t want or need your suggestions!!! -- the real Glenn}

KFJB indeed is a close fuzzy match to the call I heard; however don`t
see how I could have taken 93.9 for 98.9. Possibly in the graveyard
pilelup these were parts of two different stations. KFJB is in
Marshalltown IA.

1230, I try again May 1 at 0640 UT: Iowa is mentioned and ad? for
Heartland something, State? Broad search does find some connexions
between Marshalltown and Heartland entities, but that probably applies
to many other locations. Then C2CAM which would not be KFJB, listed on
Red Eye Radio instead (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
