Hauser
** BRAZIL. 15189.805 approx., May 3 at 0051, R. Inconfidência with
wild sports coverage, what could that be? S9 and 0153 Inconfidência
promos, 0055 timecheck for 9:55. On Apr 26 I had measured it on
15189.781 but misreported it as ``15187.81`` and no one corrected me!
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 13530, May 3 at 1439, presumed CNR1 jammer, vs CODAR S7/S9.
Aoki shows SOH at 2110-1550 on 13530 (Glenn Hauer, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 9710, May 3 at 0035, heavy CCI between RHC song in
English // 11760 and some other music, making a SAH a few Hz apart,
totalling S9+30. Other would be CRI `Portuguese` music fill via
Kashgar, EAST TURKISTAN, Commies vs Commies! At 0111 recheck 9710 is
clear with RHC French // 11760 with hum and windhowl. SAWA (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Sun May 3 at 1929, RHC English, song, S9/+20 with
windhowl, into Georgia SDR, // 11880, only S9/+10 but sounds much
louder, almost overmodulated; 1929 Richard Richards segment ending,
1933 `Music with a Message`, hosted by ``Ed Newman`` (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. Bunch of Saturday evening pirates, as usual with
music mostly unrecognizable by me and I am not into shazaaming or
anything else no matter how time-consuming, but refer to HFUnderground
monitors:

6980 USB? May 3 at 0057 JBA music, drumming. Nothing in HFU, but after
0200 on 6977.7, WPIG, Voice of the Trough:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,162921.0.html

6950 USB, May 3 at 0058, pirate music S9+10; many logs as unID:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,162906.0.html

6940 USB, May 3 at 0058, pirate music, off at 0102? more unID logs:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,162905.0.html

6925 AM?, May 3 at 0059, pirate music. Apparently WTF Radio Worldwide,
but reported as on AM:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,162898.15.html

6870 USB, May 3 at 0101, pirate music S9+20; also at 0156 S9. Mix

https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,162909.0.html

6935 AM, May 3 at 0157, pirate music S9, Liquid Radio, per:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,162918.0.html

6890 USB, May 3 at 0158, pirate talk, laughing. NO HFU logs here.
Might have been peskies but aren`t they LSB? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17715, May 2 at 1529, fifth day of dead air on this REE for
S America, S7/9+10 into Georgia SDR. And still at 1917, S9+10/25 of
silence in Spanish (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17715, May 3 at 1504, sixth! day of dead air from REE,
S9/+15 into Georgia SDR; 15500 is S7/9 with silly ballgame, 15520 JBA
and 15390 still AWOL. At 1928 into Georgia SDR, 17715 S9+10/15 of
deadair. Something`s amiss in Madrid, not paying attention to their
last link to listeners in Noblejas (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.003+, May 2 at 2205, VOT English not off the air,
S9+20/30 into UTwente, unchecked direct but no doubt quite inferior
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11660.019+, Sun May 3 at 1643, VOT English, S9+10/20
backwards into UTwente, after news and music, now
``always-by-your-side`` promo; 1644 `Letterbox` with Cemre. Weather
improving, stuff happening, likes to go somewhere. Two new
locations heard from this week: Peru, Poland. 1) Carlos G. Moscoso,
Cuzco, Peru, heard 7215 {sic, not corrected, she doesn`t realize it`s
supposed to be 7275? Will they QSL wrong frequency?} at 0315. ``When
propagation is bad, we blame the sun,`` she says. 2) Ivan Lebedev,
northern suburb of St. Pete, Russia. 3) Paul Turkov?, Lancashire, 6
reports from Dec to Apr, using 75-year-old radio. 4) Miss Leila? Bell,
UKOGBANI. 5) Rajal?/Rashu?, Andhra Pradesh, India. 6) Najradin?,
listeners club, W Bengal, India. 7) Marek? Kisz?, SE Poland, only one
sending a song list this week. 8) Mr Tedescu?, Transylvania, Romania,
listened to Spanish. 9) Jayanta Chakroborty, India, will send some
stamps along with QSL. 10) Invitation to a contest from Dan Cummings?,
manager, WWDXC during FIFA world cup in June, detailed rules for
logging and reporting countries participating, entry fee 5 Euro. 1707,
that`s all, theme (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2345 monitoring: confirmed Saturday

aimed, but S9+5/20 backwards into Georgia remote.

Also confirmed Saturday May 2 at 1600 on WRN via WRMI 9395, S9+12/20

on plus side; and 3975.001+, S9+5/10. Also storm crashes; indeed

exist.

Also confirmed Sunday May 3 at 1900 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,

Many thanks for a very generous contribution via PayPal to woradio at
yahoo.com from Chris Campbell, Columbus OH, ``I always look forward to
Thursday evenings each week to catch the new WOR.``

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9265, May 3 at 0040, no signal at all from WINB. There
appears to be a gap in program schedule for Saturday night -- Geez,
they still think they are on EST instead of EDT; where`s Hans Johnson
when we need him? O, he`s no longer listed in WRTH as sales manager:
06:15P / Sat-2315...Old Fashioned Missionary Baptist Ch.
09:00P / Sun-0200...FKB Radio Sermon Time
Program end times are never shown, but 2:45 is awfully long for one,
and the same OFMBC on Sunday morning lasts only a semisesquihour
before something else. So maybe they axually turn the transmitter off
for a while? Still off however at 0250 not into Georgia (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VENEZUELA. 4940, May 3 at 0707, Estación 4940 is absent again
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 990, May 3 at 0642 UT, mention Las Vegas; 0643 ``Sports
Betting Network``. There is no NV on 990, but SBN is based there,
a.k.a. VSiN = Vegas Stats & Information. No such network shown for any
990 station in NRC AM Log, but only a few have sports format. Prime
suspect is WNML `Sports aNiMaL`, Knoxville TN, 10/10 kW U2, night
pattern somewhat notched to west, so maybe on ND day pattern. Its sked
shows merely `Westwood One Sports` all-night. Beyond that I can`t get
a definite match; other sports on 990 are KTMS CA, KIKI HI, WTIG OH,
all of them far less likely to be heard here. SBN/VSiN seems mainly
online/podcasting; can`t find a simple radio affiliate list on their
websites (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1610 kHz, May 3 at 0657 UT, S9+20/25 of dead air, or
JBM? Likely CHHA Toronto, which otherwise blox CHRN Montreal to here
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15153.1 LSB, May 2 at 1920, 2-way in Spanish INTURDERS
-- er, INTRUDERS, discussing trabajo. On slightly different
frequencies from their sounds (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report despatched at 1953 UT May 3
