As a slight aside, are you using alkaline batteries, or rechargeables
in your radio? If you're using alkalines, you should seriously
consider switching to high quality NiMH rechargeables. They will last
much longer than alkalines. I use Powerex 2300 mAh NiMH's in all of my
radios which use AA sized batteries.
