Please note and spread the word - for those not on a
list where my almost-daily all-band but mainly SW log
reports appear -- or for those who are but find this a
more convenient archive, weekly merged roundups
of all these reports in their original form are posted
early every UT Thursday via:

Hauser Update  View Printable Version
Thursday, January 08 2026

Hauser
** ARGENTINA [non]. Re RAE via WRMI 9455, Jan 6 at 2310, ``Telam
agency has reached an agreement to supply news to R. Nacional network
stations`` -- Bill Tilford replies:

``You mean the agency formerly known as Telam? Milei's government
closed the original in 2024 and retrofitted it as APE (Agencia de
Publicidad del Estado, or State Advertising Agency). It might not be
fair to compare it to OANN in the US, but it won't ever say anything
naughty about Milei either. --Uncle Bill``

I did not hear APE mentioned. Suspect this was playback of a very old
outdated `Atividade DX` as also evident from monitoring a few weeks
ago with DX `news` about stations no longer on air. Another reply,
from Richard Stoller, PA:

``In Milei's defense, Telam was always in the pocket of the "gobierno
de turno" or whoever was in power, so the new version is at least more
honest -- it's a government press office`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 7300, Jan 7 at 1553, Chinese with tinkly music background,
S7/S8 and the SSOB except for 7490 WWCR. Aoki & EiBi show at 15-16
only, CNR1 jamming vs R. Taiwan International (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA. 1100.28, Jan 7 at 0710, JBA het against WTAM 1100.00 et
al., presumably again HJAT Barranquilla off-frequency (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 5140 USB, Jan 7 at 1500, the Emergency Operations Net on
alternate? Wednesdays resumes after holiday break. YL NCS counts up
and down 12345, 54321, then roll call. Her signal is JBA in S8/9 noise
level and I can`t copy accurately all the callsigns even tho spoken
fonetikaly. Some called were in Beckham County, Pontotoc County.
Several do not reply. Best signal comes from Bill, WSPV700 in Durant.
NCS seemed to be WNBE830. Someone referred to the NCS as Brianna
[sp?]. She closes the net at 1509, but then a call from WPFY721? See
my previous logs on Oct 1, Dec 3, 10 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 95.1, Jan 7 circa 2020, the lowpower FM transmitter in
downtown Enid is still on air, and not dead right now, playing pop
music, not Xmasmx; mono sound despite $ tereo pilot. The weaker one on
93.1 remains deadair (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Wed Jan 7 at 2257, NO signal from REE into Georgia
SDR, just in time to miss weekly token English at 2300 which was
missing Dec 24 & 31 due to holiday celebrations! 17715 for SAm is JBA
altho in warmer months could be sufficient. That leaves 12030 for ME
off the back as our best choice, but it`s insufficient at S7/S9. Could
at least make out opening indeed in English; oh well (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.002, Wed Jan 7 at 2259, VOT IS & ID, 2300
opening English not off the air, S9+25 into UTwente. And S9+15/30 at
2323 into Georgia SDR, as `Letterbox` is now being repeated from
Sunday, but once again tuned in too late, missing first few minutes.
Ends at 2330. Recheck at 2355, already in IS but mixing with ChiCom
music at almost equal level, unusual, making SAH of about 5 Hz. 2356
restart IS with German IDs and still on at 2400 mixing timesignals,
opening German mixing with ChiCom anthem, and still German past 2406.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2328 monitoring: confirmed
Wednesday January 7 at 2058 the 2030 on SW Radio Gold, Germany, 3975,
S7/9+10 into recommended Bedford UK SDR, inaudible at UTwente.

Also confirmed Wednesday January 7 at 2207 the 2200 on WBCQ 7490 -35
Hz = 7489.965, calibration accurate vs WWV 10000.000, S9/+10 into
Maryland SDR. Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.

** U S A. 1130 kHz, Jan 7 at 0709 UT, open carrier atop, presumably
KLEY Wellington KS, starting to comeback with hefty 250-watt day power
at night (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Re 870.56, the het against WWL I logged Jan 6 at 0750,
some coincidental reports; I did not hear the `tone` on the minus side
as well, but on IRCA list:

``870 tone --- CHRISTOPHER DUNNE Jan 6 #51455 --- 870 — must be Cuba,
the former wobbler? Heavy tone, and at my QTH it seems to be
overtaking WWL.`` Reply:

``Mike Westfall Jan 6 #51466 --- Yes, strange tone on 870 last night
(around 0300 when I checked). Sidebands measured at approx 869.459 and
870.547`` {EST? If so that`s 0800 UT -- gh} Mike Westfall, N6KUY "Mesa
Mike", FM07su, Fluvanna County, VA, SDRPlay RSPdx-R2, 21'×70' KAZ
antenna, beam 160°, null 340°, My DX Logbooks:
http://mesamike.org/radio/dxlogbook/main.mvc?account=mikew
`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15848-15902 approx., Jan 7 at 1548, multi-carrier,
multi-tones beating against each other, peaking S7 amid. What is this?
Same thing often around 17450, not relogged (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 0018 UT January 8

** ARGENTINA [non]. 9455, Jan 6 at 2310, another Tuesday and another
`Atividade DX` in Portuguese from RAE relay by WRMI. Missed any DX
news, now discussion how Telam agency has reached an agreement to
supply news to R. Nacional network stations, then about a new
satellite. Usual VG signal aimed thisaway from Okee (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CANADA [and non]. Quite a few beacons on 10m with sporadic E
reaching FM band but not to here, Jan 6 at 2321/2322: 28153, VE3IDS/B,
per WGB list: ``28153.0 VE3IDS/B - Owen Sound ON CAN EN94ll - #0/2 (29
Dec 2025) Note: ID + grid + 10" off power 5w`` and:

28225, K5GJR/B: ``28224.5 K5GJR/B - Orange Grove TX USA EL17hr - #0
(02 Jan 2026) Note: ID + grid - A-99 vertical pwr 2.5w`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11880, Jan 6 at 2310, S9+10/20 of dead air from RHC. And
15140 at 2331, S9+10/20 of dead air with howl. Somethings always wrong
at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO [non]. Re my comment that Radio Disney no longer exists in
USA, Greg Hardison replies: ``Glenn: -- "92.1...R. Disney brand
disappeared a few years ago in USA. DB gets only one hit on slogan,
Pasadena CA translator of KRDC 1110, outdated?"

This xlator was always on 99.1; if DB says 92.1, it's wrong. 1110 is
now all-Jesuspeak KWVE, in // to FM 107.9 in San Clemente. The other G
H``

WTFDA FM DB shows 107.9 in San Clemente with a 530-watt low-power //
of KWVE 1110, not a translator but KWVE-FM, and furthermore another
booster on 107.9 dubbed KWVE-FM4, both ``in`` San Clemente, but
different coordinates. The former attains 1156m HAAT, must be on a
mountain. No others listed, no -FM2 or -FM3 on any frequency. Yes, the
R. Disney entry is on 99.1, K256CX, not 92.1, ``relay of KRDC-1110``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Jan 6 at 2314, VOT not off the air, music, then
English about Roman history, S9+10 direct but insuff vs local noise
level (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 420 MCW kHz, Jan 6 at 0738 UT, TU, 25-watt NDB at `Veron`,
TUpelo MS, axually tuned to 419 USB. Audible on 420 itself also PK, 25
watts at Olathe KS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2328 monitoring: confirmed UT
Tuesday January 6 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S8/9+10 into NA5C S Texas SDR,
which has a 10-minute timeout.

Also confirmed Tuesday January 6 at 1402 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, S9+20
direct.

Also confirmed Tuesday January 6 at 1510 the 1500 on WRMI 9955, S7/S9
direct.

Missed checking Tue Jan 6 at 2100 on AM Italia 1323; anyone hear it?

Also confirmed UT Wednesday January 7 at 0051 the 0030 on SW Radio
Gold, Germany, 3975.002, S7/S9 into UTwente.

Also confirmed UT Wednesday January 7 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, S9/+15
into N9AZZ IL remote. Next:

2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;

** U S A. 1130 kHz, Jan 6 at 0755 UT, KLEY dominant music missing,
KWKH audible in the mix, and some weak music from somewhere. KLEY
Wellington KS has been a perpetual cheater with 250 watts day power
instead of ONE watt night. Now maybe really 1 watt or off (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1290 kHz, Jan 6 at 0800, ``HD3 Peoria, your [illegible]``.
WIRL Peoria IL is U4 5/5 kW (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 870.56, Jan 6 at 0750, JBA het against WWL (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11834.33v LSB, Jan 6 at 2311, sounds like a ham in QSO,
hard to copy as exact frequency varies with modulation. Heard PP,
maybe part of a callsign. As we learnt well from R. Vanuatu, third
harmonix from the 75m band can show up here: this would originate
around 3944.77, but stopped before I could think to check there (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CZECHIA. 5850 // weaker 7780, Jan 5 at 0617, ``The Moldau`` is
playing - must be R. Prague. Yes, as on WRN sked in English relayed by
WRMI (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 660, Jan 5 at 0607, Mexican NA choral, then ID with full
address in Monterrey. So it`s XEFZ. Despite frequent IDs as ``ABC
Deportes, sabemos cómo se juega`` plays a lot of songs in English

** MEXICO. 1090, Jan 5 at 0553, Spanish talk, like a financial
infomercial? Mentions cuentas, and website .mx. Sounds a lot like the
unID on 1100. At 0556 interjects and easily missed, ``escuchas Milenio
Radio``. So it`s XEAU Monterrey NL, 5000/500 watts (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** MEXICO. Big sporadic E FM DX opening January 5, the first for me
this winter. All on stock Nissan Sentra caradio with fender vertical,
in real time, no RDS, no internet access or references at hand during.
Everything is in Spanish with $ tereo pilot, u.o.s. Times strictly UT.
Researched later mainly with WTFDA FM Database info indicated after
DB: km/statute miles added from distancefromto.net, city to city, not
site to site.

89.5 at 1853, Mexmx; 1902 JBA talk, 1903 ``La Lupe``: DB: XHFTI-FM
Fortín de las Flores, Veracruz, 60 kW, 453m, 1947 km/1210 stmi

92.1 at 1854, Mexmx, ``Lo Mejor FM``, 1856 TC for 4 till 1. YL DJ.
``La Mejor`` - think I heard both Lo and La, in passing. At 1901,
``180 mil watts, Córdoba, Veracruz, La Mejor``. At 1916, ``La
Mejor``. At 1939: ``La Mejor, 92.1 aquí no más`` DB: XHPG-FM Córdoba
Ver, 49.95 kW, 213m, 1949/1211

93.5 at 1855, Mexmx; 1905 Veracruz mentioned, CCI; at 1929 Rudolf
Truro songtune, CCI; At 1936 ``Arroba-FM`` mix CCI. DB: XHPP-FM
Pánuco, only one in Vcz, @FM - Arroba FM, 20.39 kW, 80.39m, 1594/991

92.3 at 1904, JBA SS talk

94.5 at 1906, Mexmx; at 1909, ``la canción de --- 94.5``, CCI

96.7 at 1906, talk about government benefit info; at 1927, talk about
obras públicas

94.1 at 1911, Farmacias Guadalajara ad: national chain I think, does
not necessarily mean a Guadalajara station

93.7 at 1912, Spanish music, but then English; brief capture over
KSPI?

92.9 at 1912, Spanish

92.1 at 1913, kids? about los Reyes Magos. Heard this mentioned
several times, i.e. imminent Jan 6, what we call Epiphany. Disney as
below?

94.5 at 1915, strumming music; at 1916 ad ments La Huasteca, Tampico;
1917 Farmacias Guadalajara. DB: XHTPO-FM Tampico, Tams, La Caliente,
50 kW, 111m, 1573/977

94.1 at 1917, about crédito, El Cerrito; 1920 two stations mix, ment
El Patito Suave. DB: no hits, too many stations

92.9 at 1921, Spanish JBA; at 1937, Senado PSA, ``La Qué Buena 92.9``,
ads, fade. At 1940, ads, ``la cadena de radio más grande de México,
92.9 La Kebuena``. DB: no hits unless spelt ``Kebuena``: XEQ-FM CDMX
79.07 kW, 214m, 1890/1174

94.1 at 1925, KFC ad in SS, CCI praise music EE = OK

94.9 at 1926, Spanish talk

93.1 at 1931, JBA ments Alegría, CCI local deadair. There is a grupo
by that name, but no hits; maybe was just ``alegría``

95.3 at 1933, M&W talk, 1:33 TC, overcomes KOKC translator

95.1 at 1935, undermodulated Xmasmx, must be Enid; later back to
deadair

94.1 at 1935, ``FM 94.1``, music; not an ID per se

92.1 at 1942, ads, plug Radiodisney.com.mx, ads, Disney; 1943 bit of
Indigenous language, in Suprema Corte PSA, ads Walmart, Taylor Swift;
1945 juguetes, ``92.1 Radio Disney, sólo baladas``, ``en Radio Disney,
tu música te llega``. DB: XHFO-FM CDMX, CHR format, 100 kW, 134m.
IIRC, the R. Disney brand disappeared a few years ago in USA. DB gets
only one hit on slogan, Pasadena CA translator of KRDC 1110, outdated?
1890/1174

94.5 at 1948, classical music! quite steady reception, harp concerto,
1953 slow announcer, Opus 94 ID, lengthy phone? number starting
56-28-17-, ``Opus 94, padecía[?] sonora``. DB: XHIMER-FM CDMX 100 kW,
478.3m, 1890/1174

93.7 at 1956, YL musing with musical background; 1958 ``Escucha 93-7``
captured from KSPI, yeah, but what`s the call? No station listed with
fq in slogan, but every station could say that, duh

92.9 at 1959, ads in pesos, Farmacias Guadalajara, Soriana; 2000
Electra, impossibly sped-up disclaimer, ``Ésta es ---, desde
Radiópolis, aquí suena, cadena de radio más grande de México. Back to
XEQ-FM CDMX as above. 1890/1174

95.3 at 2002, ``Amor 95,3. música romántica, XHSH-FM, 100 mil
watts, Amor FM, Grupo ACIR. DB: CDMX 90 kW, minus! 20m. In this entire
almost 2-hour opening, the only call-letter ID heard! I take a break
at 2003-2012. 1890/1174

96.3 at 2013, Spanish JBA with 96.1 OKC ACI

97.3 at 2013, Spanish music

100.3 at 2014, YLs, ``en el capital``, fade; 2016 discussing Reyes
Magos, address, RTQ for gifts; 2018 kids` wishes. At 2028, ``RTQ 100.3
Radio, rock? alternativo``. DB gets no hits searching on RTQ, but
Wikipedia leads to XHQUE-FM which is in the DB as R. Querétaro,
Santiago de Querétaro, Qro, 15 kW, 27.7m. This is the highest
frequency in the opening, tho had been concentrating on the overfilled
lower half of band. RTQ stands for Radio y Televisión Querétaro.
1774/1102

96.7 at 2021, YL TC as 2:21, about calendar?, 2022 fade, deadair
pauses, ``Radio Sensación 96.7 FM`` -- that is, DB: XHPZ-FM Cd.
Guzmán, Jalisco, 30.82 kW, 239.9m, 1933/1201

95.5 at 2026, Spanish talk briefly vs local 95.7 ACI

99.1 at 2027, Spanish briefly, fade

88.1 at 2030, discuss US, Ukraine, Maduro

92.1 at 2033, most have faded out except JBA Spanish here

At 2036 I quit. Per 6m DXMAP, opening continues some hours, but
nexus/patch originally circa San Antonio/S Texas, just right for me,
has drifted northward closer to OK which means any DX is skpping over
me (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 7475, Jan 5 at 0619, Station YHWH is on and JBA
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9610, Jan 4 at 2138, tuning in early not to miss the start
of `Letterbox` on VOT, but zero signal into UTwente, OFF the air!
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 293 MCW kHz, Jan 5 at 0727, FBY FairBurY NE is mixing with

5574 USB, Jan 5 at 0614, YL ATC stronger than 5550. EiBi shows only
San Francisco Radio CEP on 5574.

5598 USB, Jan 5 at 0615, ATC asking for call sign, working Air France
481, refers to 6628, 3016 for contacting Santa Maria, Azores. Gander,
Shannon and NY are also on 5598. And some of the same on the others
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2328 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
January 4 at 2015 the 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.999-, S8/S9
into UTwente, unusually with some undermusic CCI. mwlist quick & easy
shows very few possibilities in Eu/Af/ME: 30 watts in Leeds UK; 7.5 kW
in Romania, only until 1800 on Sundays, and 50 kW in Iran until 2020
which must be it.

Not confirmed Sunday January 4 at 2235 the 2230 on SW Radio Gold,
Germany, JBA into UTwente, Bedford and Carlow remotes, but probably,
sounds like it could be me.

Also confirmed Sunday January 4 at 2337 the 2330 on WRMI 9455,
S9+25/40 direct.

Also confirmed UT Monday January 5 at 0000 on WRMI 9395, S9+15/25
direct.

Also confirmed UT Monday January 5 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S9+5/20 into
S Texas SDR. And still not on 9455, but not Viva Miami either as on
sked, Judge Joe?? introduced himself and started reading something
about photography.

Also confirmed UT Monday January 5 from 0401.5 on Area 51 webcast.
WBCQ 5130- cut off JL at 0400 for s/off announcement; he didn`t gotta
go until 0401.

Confirmed Monday January 5 at 2050 the 2030 on SW Radio Gold, Germany,
JBA into UTwente and Bedford UK: sounds like me. Next:

with strange program, exaggerated professorial accent about Zodiac,
still at 0601 but no ID, 0602 cut to a song (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1650 kHz, Jan 5 at 0543 UT, Spanish talk, praise music atop.
Only possibility is KBJD Denver 10/1 kW. KFSW Fort Smith AR, really in
OK, is not really a factor here, and the only other SS is KSVE El Paso
with sports. Haven`t heard it lately either, nor the tone it used to
run all-night (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1100 kHz, Jan 5 at 0548 UT, Spanish music mixing with
WTAM et al., pileup, YL mentions cintura = waist. Unlikely one of two
remote obscure Mexicans. NRC AM Log shows only USSS: KAFY Bakersfield
CA U2 4200/800 religious, also unlikely (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR))

UNIDENTIFIED. Re my 1190 in Spanish, Jan 3 at 0710, ``Radio Éxitos``
suspected not to be WLIB NYC, which is ``La Exitosa``, Bruce Conti of
NRC IDXD replies: ``WLIB is operating unidirectional (non-directional)
at 25% power per an FCC STA which was recently extended, due to

Hauser
** CUBA [non]. 5025, Jan 4 at 0735, R. Rebelde is off. I don`t always
log it when it`s on, or dead air. Something`s always wrong at
RadioCuba. Audiblizes 5020 JBA carrier already, presumably SOLOMON
ISLANDS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760 S7/S9 // 15140 S7/9+15 with windhowl, Jan 4 at 1603,
RHC IS & ID, not opening weekly Sunday Esperanto until 1604. SAWA
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ITALY. Marconi R. International publicized a 40th anniversary
broadcast Jan 4 at 1600-1900 on 7700 or alternate 7400. At 1624 into
UTwente, I have JBA signals on both, 7699.861+ at S6/S7, 7400.051+
also S6/S7; which is which? By 1741, 7400 won`t lock onto anything but
7699.870+ lox with music S6/S7. EiBi & Aoki show nothing on either
nominal frequency. Amid music, at 1735 announcement in English,
``Hello, Marconi Radio International...`` At 1800, JBA 7699.871+.
Anyhow, 7700 & 7400 should be good clear frequency choices (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6945 USB, Jan 4 at 0208, pirate song S7/S8 vs NL of
S6/S7; 0210 DJ mentions Saturday evening on ===? Radio, then something
about helicopters? These say it`s Band-Aid Radio:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,156619.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 7475, Jan 4 at 0652, Station YHWH is JBA. Ron Howard
and Rick Barton had been reporting it on late again (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.005, Sat Jan 3 at 2336, VOT English not off
the air, S9+25/40 into UTwente. Only music except for stale promos:
2336 ``always-by-your-side``, 2341 ``with-you-every-hour``, 2345
``a-b-y-s`` again already! 2354 s/off as if it were the 1330 on 13635,
something`s always awry at Ankara; 2355 IS. 2356 restart IS with
German IDs, 6CI undercurrent. Still on at 0000 Jan 4 opening
extraneous German, same offset and signal as above, erroneous at
Emirler. 0008 music, 0012 German. 0020 two-minute multi-lingual ID
filler reel but chopped off air shortly at 0021* during Russian,
uncovering Chinese at S8/9+5 on slightly different offset 5959.997
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9660.018+, Sun Jan 4 at 1744 tune-in, S9+20 into UTwente,
VOT `Letterbox` already underway so missed at least one contact. Maybe
tune in a bit earlier on a repeat. 1) Ivan Lebedev, St. Pete, Russia.
2) Mr Francis Mohler?, Dublin, Ireland. 3) --- Hussein ---, Pakistan
with NY greetings. 4) Dr. Daniele --?, Torino, Italy. 5) Satoshi
Tanaka, Tokyo, Japan. I bet there be myriads with that name. 6)
finally, Mr. -- Akin? Bashir, Pakistan Listeners Club. 1759 ending,
reminder that now repeats on Wednedays, 1800 theme (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U K O G B A N I. 7445, Jan 4 at 0140 conversation in unID language,
S9+10/20. EiBi shows it`s BBC in Dari via Woofferton at 0130-0200;
Dari and Pashto alternate half-hourly from 0030 to 0300, but after
0200 site changes to OMAN (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 275 MCW kHz, Jan 4 at 0653 UT, ND beacon HF? JBA and hard to
tell whether HP. Aha, it`s really HIN, as in RNA list, `Whitney`
Chadron NE, 25 watts, ``ULS WRLB2706 expires 09/03/2027 // 29Jun23
Tony reports it is mis-keying as 'HF' // 15Jan24 Tony reports it is
back to normal keying`` - but not anymore. It seems these beacons have
real W+ callsigns assigned to them, but never transmitted. IN if sent
without a space comes out as F: ..-. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 293 MCW kHz, Jan 4 at 0652 UT, underneath FBY, FairBurY NE,
one of my strongest and most regularly heard is another, TOR, which
is: TORrington WY, 25 watts. Torrington is in SE WY, a few km from the
Nebraska frontier (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 359 MCW kHz, Jan 4 at 0658, GGF, Grant NE unknown power
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2328 monitoring: confirmed new time
2030 Saturday January 3 on SW Radio Gold, Germany, 3975.001, S6/S8
into UTwente.

Also confirmed Saturday January 3 at 2030 on WRN via WRMI 9395, S9+38
into Georgia SDR and not at 2100 as now shown on the System E schedule
- or possibly both as not checked after 2100. Nor WRN Europe stream
checked at 2100 as long scheduled there.

Not confirmed on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, nominal 2030 Saturday January 3;
JBA vs HNL into N9AZZ southern IL remote, and KM4RT in western TN; the
closest at House Springs MO is not much better and times out at only
10 minutes allowed per 24 hours! WOR still had not started by 2045,
but not unusual to be running later. TWIAR was going at 2030.

Confirmed Saturday January 3 at 2200 on WRMI 9395, S9+25/30 into
Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed Saturday January 3 at 2235 the 2230 on WRMIs 17790
S9/+5 and 15770 S9+5 into Maryland SDR.

Also confirmed UT Sunday January 4 at 0258 the 0230 on WRN North
America stream.

Also confirmed UT Sunday January 4 at 0412 the 0415v on WA0RCR, 1860
AM, MO, S9+10 into KM4RT remote Tipton County TN, better than
closers.

Also confirmed Sunday January 4 at 0733 the 0730 on WRMIs: 5850
S9+20/25, 7570 S9+25, 7730 S7, 7780 S8, but 15770 is JBA carrier.

Also confirmed Sunday January 4 at 1135 on WRN via WRMIs 7570 S9+25
and 7780 S9

Avondale-Atlanta`` and Townhall News (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1700 kHz, Jan 4 at 0206 UT, open carrier atop others,
presumably KKLF Richardson TX trying to make a comeback (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR) also see unID 1700!

** VATICAN. 15490, Jan 4 at 1515, S Asian music, OOFSOB [one of few
signals on band], another example of Vatican Radio`s prowess in
serving us in the opposite direxion, Malayalam scheduled. No other
significant signals from Europe on 19m, and not much else except Cuba
15140 & 15230, WRMI 15770 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1700 kHz, Jan 4 at 0659 UT, weak Spanish in the mix. If
not KKLF TX, which has been absent, or open carrier 5 hours ago, only
other SS would be XEPE Tecate BC, nominally 10/10 kW, which IRCA
Mexican Log says: ``TuDN Deportes, Vivimos Tu Pasión 24h SPT TUDN No
FM. Active 8/25 per local monitoring, but signal strength decreased
after programming flipped to TuDN Deportes. Directional antenna?``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
