emergency ops net, starts a minute late, as I also tune in a minute
late, having to reconnect my antenna after overnight lightning storm.
There is still a lot of storm QRN. Breanna in Edmond is again the NCS,
giving her ham call KM4UJS as well as WSHM692. Rollcall with only a
few answers:

Spanish, so must be REE, testing? Per EiBi maximum span is 15-24
depending on day of week. Not on 9690 or any others. Nothing at next
check 1545. However one other 12030 could be R. Delta Int`l,
Netherlands, irregular between 00 & 12.

Ralph W Perry, Wheaton IL, also noted this 4 March: ``12030 Radio
Exterior De Espana, presume via Noblejas flamethrower from unsked 0810
with huge signal. Playing slick recorded show with smooth SS deejay to
0843 when taped show ran out and just transmitted open carrier with
S9 signal until 0855 when audio started up again. Show a survey of
popular SS and EE love songs from 1960s like "No Puedo Vivir" and "I
Am in Love With Love". Plenty of IDs at 0855 resumption. This was so

intense gospel huxter mentioning facial recognition in Ecuador; seems
more contemporary subject than strictly pre-death sermons of namesake
John Hill. Wonder if George S Mock, operator of this glorified ham
station have come up with some newer material. Closest Kiwi would be
Mobile AL but not getting it when I check later. At 2146 into Maryland

beacon at Fort SevERn ON - first time log. ``Fort Severn First Nation
is a Western Swampy Cree First Nation band government located on the
Severn River near Hudson Bay. It is the northernmost community in
Ontario, Canada. In 2001, the population was 401, consisting of 90
families in an area of 40 square kilometres.`` And it`s 2312 km = 1436

no signal direct. But if they were on, would misannounce time as
1445z. Then left PEI SDR running until timeout at 1915, no CHR, not
even a carrier. Also nothing on 6754 USB direct at 2317 check (Glenn

** CUBA. David Crawford replies to my inquiry about the 1141 kHz
carrier:

``Hello Glenn, 1141 programming has consistently been Radio Cadena
Agramonte, Camagüey for a while now, but is still sometimes only an
open carrier.

The 1141 carrier was first noted here May 2024. Progreso programming
was first noted August 2024, and first noted with full modulation in
October 2024, but only carrying any audio very intermittently. CadAg
programming was first noted April 2025, and has generally been there
more than carrier-only since. Having said all that, it's probably time
to check the programming again.

With the apagones, usually there's nothing on 1141 at all lately, and
activity has been very intermittent, and usually there only after 03
Z.

The previous, primary CadAd freq of 910 was last heard here in
November 2022 with bad modulation. The station made a surprise
appearance through the 1180 pile in April 2025 but I haven't confirmed
it there since.

Recent checks on 1140 at night here usually find one Rebelde
dominating, and sometimes CMBF there. Sometimes there's nothing from
Cuba, and WRVA, WQBA, and WBXR own the channel. WQBA slowly varies
around 1140.023 and is easy to identify by the offset.

Another question related to 1140 is whether Radio Surco is still on
the air. I've had no confirmed reception of them on 1080 or 1140 in a

** KOREA NORTH. 9435, March 3 at 1542, VOK music but carrier is
rapidly wobbling, S3/S6. Also, Tony Pavick, BC observes at 1627: ``VoK
has been in a pretty sad state these past several days. 9435 has a
godawful hum and distortion. 11710 sounds like it has contracted a
case of Cuba's windhowl with almost no audio making it through``

** VANUATU [and non]. 7260, March 3 at 0523 checking for R Vanuatu
into Townsville, Qsld. SDR, since it was missing direct the last two
nights. Now it is on, S6/S7 with music, and nothing on any other known
RV frequencies, including 7890 where I suspected it harmonicizing from
3945. I`m still on same remote at 0532 when there are probate legal
notices in English, now S8/S9; and at 0725 in Bislama now S9+. At 0732
I tune direct and it`s S7/S9, and also a JBA carrier vs noise level on
7890. So what else could be on 7890? Massive UDXF frequency reference
shows only Antarctica:
