Oromia National Media-Arraata Biyyoolessa Oromiyaa -
which organisation behind the new Oromo language broadcast ?

two decades ago we had some similar veiled Oromia Independence
Clandestine shortwave radios, one from USA brokered by Ludo Maes Belgium,
Oromo Voice Radio, Raadiyoo Sagalee Oromoo, mostly via TDF Issoudun France;

also via DTK Julich / Wertachtal bcast center these days in 2004 - 2006 year
15650kHz Voice of Oromia Independence (via Julich)
via WRMI Jeff White Miami FL USA Broker.

The other from West Berlin-Germany location via DTK/MBR Julich /
Wertachtal / Nauen Germany ... SBO Sagalee Bilisummaa Oromoo
or Voice of Oromia Liberation Front

NO FACEBOOK video play access ... just negative try.

as no facebook member, tried the odyssey to get the imprint, location of
Oromia Clandestine somewhere, but always pressured to went-into new Facebook
account - as the only way.

I believe I heard the 11990 kHz broadcast yesterday from about 1640
onwards. Many mentions of Oromo, but couldn't be sure of the language.

Re e-mail received moments ago from IRRS

I have a short update on our schedule to East Africa and Kashmir. Although
languages used in these broadcasts may be somehow unusual to most of our
listeners, we are very interested in receiving reception reports for these
additional broadcasts, especially from listeners in the target areas:

i.) 11990 kHz (250 kW) from 1630-1730 UTC on Mon, Wed & Sat to East Africa
in Oromo language (*)
(*) Not available on our regular streaming channels

We will be happy to confirm all correct reception reports with our
COVID-19 e-QSL card. Please send your reports to reports (at) nexus (dot)
org .

How do you know it was SOH and not rather CNR1 jamming, and no SOH ?

Fw: Keeping AM radio alive  View Printable Version

Asunto: Keeping AM radio alive

World Music Radio (WMR) has been broadcasting on 5840 and 15805 kHz
since 2018. Coming soon is 927 kHz. And Radio208 has been broadcasting
since December 2019 on 1440 kHz and since May 2020 also on shortwave
5805 kHz.

It has cost a lot of time, energy and money – but it has been and still
is great fun – keeping shortwave and mediumwave alive.

The cost of the transmitters (some 15000 euro), aerials and transmitter
sites is one thing. Another thing is the running cost. The two big
expenses are:

Music royalties: 450 euro each month
Power costs: 1300 euro each month (when all transmitters are on full
power)

If you could help keeping WMR and Radio208 on the air, your support
would be highly appreciated. All amounts are welcome.

to Hartvig Media, Hovedvejen 17, DK 8920 Randers NV – IBAN

All contributors donating at least 25 euro will receive a WMR mouse pad
(23 x 18 cm). Please mention your street address.
