What is Replacing Shortwave? |
|
Wednesday, April 15 2020

Oh my God, please not this topic again, a laughing stock since DWL Days some 19 years ago; actually just an expenses knight topic on conventions. 73 wb ----- Original Message ----- From: "madcute29 [dxld]" <dxld@yahoogroups.com>
Sent: Thursday, August 25, 2016 Subject: [dxld] Re: New DRM receiver Sadly DRM something that could have changed the way international broadcasters reach their audiences. But the DRM Consortium is so poorly managed they seem to be in a perpetual testing stage. Also with many who were part of the consortium having pulled out and huge technology changes since DRM was first launch. It's not dead in the water. The one area DRM has been successful is sending out breaking news. First the Russia, Brazil, and then India. Well the Russians pulled the plug, Brazil is not interested anymore and All India Radio spent millions converting many of it's sites and nothing happening except they are now looking at new technologies. Also the Avion DRM DRM receiver is no longer available. What is the future? None. Those to head the DRM consortium are appointed and are on a whole bureaucrats. And just look at this thing. No design sense.

IRRS 7290 kHz is NOT via Romania; RRI A-20 schedule |
|
Wednesday, April 15 2020

If IRRS Milano hadn't been stupid with the truth of TX locations for 27 years, publicly declaring rent bargains across Eastern Europe countries, there would be no such research need. wb ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mauno_Ritola" <Mauno.Ritola@gmail.com>
Sent: Wednesday, April 15, 2020 1:06 PM Subject: Re: [WOR] IRRS 7290 kHz is NOT via Romania; RRI A-20 schedule Hi Alexander, thanks, you are right, I just got confirmation from Radiocom, that 7290 kHz 1700-1900 is not from them. But I don't think it is possible to get a reply from Bulgarian operators. 73, MaunoAlexander Busneag kirjoitti 15.4.2020 klo 12:49:
Hi Mauno, No, only two of the three Țigănești transmitters are currently operational (TIG-tx2 and TIG-tx3).For some years, only TIG-tx1 and TIG-tx2 (both used by RRI) were operational, while TIG-tx3 (reserve) was not ready for operation. This explains why in the past years, most RRI transmissions via TIG-tx1 were cancelled when TIG-tx1 had technical problems, since TIG-tx3 was not ready for use. However, a few RRI broadcasts were transmitted via Săftica (SAF) in such cases. In the context of these technical problems with TIG-tx1, it is nevertheless important to point out that the continuity of RRI's broadcasts was not affected, since all Galbeni (GAL) and Țigănești (TIG) transmissions go out on two parallel frequencies. This means that listeners were always able to tune in to the second frequency (via TIG-tx2)! A few weeks ago, the situation changed: TIG-tx1 is defective again, but TIG-tx3 is finally operational again, and it temporarily carries all frequencies scheduled for TIG-tx1. Hence, RRI is broadcasted on all scheduled frequencies! There is no free space for the IRRS evening transmissions on 7290 kHz at 1700-1900 UTC, since all available RADIOCOM SW transmitters are used by RRI: 1700-1800 UTC: GAL-tx1: RRI Ron = 9500 kHz GAL-tx2: RRI Ron = 11975 kHz TIG-tx1: currently out of order! TIG-tx2: RRI Eng = 11850 kHz TIG-tx3 (replacing TIG-tx1): RRI Eng DRM = 9760 kHz SAF: RRI Ukr (30 min) & Srp (30 min) = 5910 kHz 1800-1900 UTC: GAL-tx1: RRI Ron = 9500 kHz GAL-tx2: RRI Ron = 11975 kHz TIG-tx1: currently out of order! TIG-tx2: RRI Deu DRM = 6090 kHz TIG-tx3 (replacing TIG-tx1): RRI Deu = 9570 kHz SAF: RRI Ita DRM (30 min) & Rup (30 min) = 5910 kHz For further details, see: http://ab27.bplaced.net/rri.pdf As stated above, all frequencies scheduled for TIG-tx1 [T1] are temporarily transmitted via TIG-tx3 [T3]! 73, Alexander
