Re Albania CRI European relay site Cerrik broadcasts..

I don't believe that the Cerrik relay is on air again y e t !
These ADDITIONAL SCHEDULE outlets
originate NOT FROM ALBANIA at present.

In past 14 days !!
I also observed these additional French (and others)
on 7360 and 7385 kHz from MAINLAND CHINA bcast center sites,

propagate far away from eastern Asia bcast center,

according of Kiwi-Net direction finding TDoA Extension,

not from Kashgar, nor Urumqui in western China, <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

b u t C E N T E R E D o r i g i n a t e
and propagate WELL
from big Beijing transmission site,
CHN_Beijing Matoucun/Madicun, HuoxianTown,
Tongzhou_SW 150/350/500kW 33ant_12x100kW
Beijing #572 site at
39 44 54 N 116 48 41 E

and likely also one ... two other additional bcasts more
from either
Xian #925 site at G.C. 110degr East

or Shijiazhuang site near
CHN_Shijiazhuang Huikou. Pingshan County, Station #723 at
G.C 114degr East location

7360 kHz in Western Europe S=9+10dB like at same time:
Xian on 7285 and 7435 kHz.

7385 kHz in Western Europe S=9+5dB from Beijing site,
like Shijiazhuang also this level on 7255 kHz.

The CRI Kashgar outlets are much stronger - than Beijing / Xian -
at S=9+30dB level tonight,
like Italian 7340 kHz, German 7395 kHz.

Okay, yes the additional 09-13 UT bcasts originate
either from Urumqi or Kashgar sites
in western China on the Russia/Kazakhstan/Kyrghyz border area.

73 wolfie df5sx

ps. 15-23 UT additional bcasts need further more monitoring observation
now.

If you’ve ever thought you might like to work as a monitor, here’s your
chance:

https://erajobs.state.gov/dos-era/vacancy/viewVacancyDetail.hms?_ref=mfeyqmx3pt0&returnToSearch=true&jnum=13139&orgId=9

This is for a position in Vienna, Austria and the only ‘kicker’ is that
you need a work permit for Austria [EU, US expats and some TCNs] AND a
‘good working knowledge’ of German.

Aeronautical / Volmet Monitoring  View Printable Version
Monday, January 20 2020

HCDX
The following report is for 20 January, 2020

Report from: Rich Levenson
E-mail: lrqaman@gmail.com
Location: Monroe Township, NJ
Radios: ICOM R9500, Expert Electronics MB1 (SDR)
Antennas: 6-80 M Vertical, Coax Gutter/Downspout, Attic Discone

My major passion is aeronautical flight monitoring as well as VOLMETs
(meteorological weather information for airmen). Accordingly, I have even
developed an electronic map with color-coded LEDs to track international
flights that I monitor on shortwave. Check out my QRZ page for W2FKN that
will give you an idea how seriously I follow flights and weather. The terms
of TAF, METAR, SIGMET, and AIRMET are used depending upon the weather
conditions. Find these terms on GOOGLE, etc.

Shannon Volmet on 3413 @ 0010 UTC (USB - Upper Sideband) giving
meteorological information for London Heathrow, Dublin, Ireland and
Shannon, Ireland at the time of listening. Weather terms are typically in
the British system, but may also have a US component. Signal S9. (R.
Levenson - NJ)

Gander, NFLD Volmet on 6604 @ 0013 UTC (USB). Report for Toronto and Ottawa
weather conditions as noted for a specific time period. Signal S9. (R.
Levenson - NJ)

Gander, NFLD Volmet on 3485 @ 0055 UTC (USB). Signal S9. Report for
another series of locations

RAF (Royal Airforce) Volmet on 5450 (USB) at 0021 UTC. Computer generated
female voice with a perfect British accent. Detailed information for
numerous locations. Signal S9. (R. Levenson)

I can offer reports on flights I listen to with regards to positions,
requests for altitude changes, deviations for weather, and sometimes other
significant issues. I used to decode ACARS, but that's another story.

Happy listening to all - 73, Rich W2FKN

I’m not certain but I believe the field may a bit larger than just Austria. An EU work permit might work and there are other arrangements for TCNs - third country nationals.

If someone non-Austrian who can pass the German and English language requirements is interested they should check with the HR contact email on the announcement.
