that the "station home" is The Ivory Coast. However, if I list it
under Ivory Coast, the station will probably not be easily located in

Depending on feedback, I may change this in future).
2) Cuba - R Havana Cuba: Added a second alternate link to RHC live
stream (thanks to Jean-Michel Aubier in WOR iog mail list)

would describe now as a ``squeaker`` rather than wobbler, or even
whooper. Always accused is the only Cuban listed on 1040: 10 kW R.

** U S A. 600 kHz, Aug 2 at 0635 UT, ``600 WREC and 97.1 FM``, back
into C2CAM. The 600 I normally hear with C2CAM is WMT in IA, but no
sign of it now. WMT major nightlobe goes SW thisaway, while WREC goes
WNW/NW from Memphis. 92.1 is a mere translator, W221CR (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 820 kHz, Aug 2 at 0637 UT, WBAP Fort Worth is getting CCI at
almost equal level from another talk station; something must be amiss
to be heard here in WBAP`s prime `clear` channel coverage area. Hard
to DF but maybe ESE/WNW. Prime suspect is WWBA Largo FL, which I have
heard before, U4 50/1 kW, despite neither day nor night pattern
favorable thisaway, talk/sports format. Or KUTR Taylorsville UT, U8
50/2.5 kW religious, ND day, night pattern northward (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1130 kHz, Aug 2 at 0632 UT, C&W music dominant over KWKH
sportstalk. KLEY Wellington KS must be back on air after missing a few
days and nights. At 0659 goes to dead air; 0700 cuts back on just in
time to ID as KLEY, ``Thunder Country``. Format change; last year`s
NRC AM Log says ``Super Hits 1130 AM and 104.1 FM``. In the August
`Line of Sight DX`, misleadingly titled newsletter of WTFDA, John
Zondlo in OKC says: ``Classic Hits KLEY 1130 and K281DI 104.1
Wellington KS have switched to Gold based Country as “Thunder
Country.” It actually is in Thunder country: Wichita Thunder, that is.
KLEY is a regular here on 1130, mixing with KWKH Shreveport.`` I again
must point out that KLEY is supposed to be tantamount to a daytimer
with 250 watts and only ONE WATT at night - obviously proudly cheating
for months and months (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1190, August 2 at 0650 UT, honky-tonk piano and country YL
vocal, good sig an anomaly, must be cheater, what? 0701 ID as KKOJ and
97.7 FM. That`s a 5 kW direxional DAYTIMER with a lobe to the SW, but
evidently enough to the SSW, C&W format in Jackson, Minnesota and the
FM is a mere translator K249EO. Fox ``news`` not starting until 0702 -
does station automatically delay it? Hard to believe net would start
it any later than 0700 or 0701 max. This Jackson is in extreme
southern MN a few miles from IA, east of Worthington, near I-90, but
address on US 71 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1190, August 2 at 0658 UT, while monitoring KKOJ, QRM from
EWTN ``radio extra``. That would be KDMR Kansas City MO, U2 5000/500
watts, night pattern with a notch to SSW but we are more like SW
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7235, August 2 at 0605, I try various remotes to discern
where this mystery carrier is coming from. Both W1NT in NH and KFS in
CA are getting about the same JBA carrier as I do direct. Not audible
at UTwente or Bonaire. Something seems to be there at TWR RSA, but
can`t lock onto it. At 0629 I reconfirm the usual JBA carrier direct,
S8 = high noise level (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 9664.94, August 1 at 0630, JBA carrier from R. Voz
Missionária (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 6754 USB, August 1 at 0620, Trenton Military, S9+15,
finally back on air. CHR had been unheard for more than a week, nor in
daytime on 15034 USB, in frequent random bandscans. Reports were even
``received`` for two minutes but at 0622 claimed time was ``0620
zulu``. Could be worse. Still not on 15034 at 1425 check, while 14670
RCUSB CHU was JBA.

Richard Langley had reported: ``[WOR] Trenton Military Weather ---
Noted them back on 6754 kHz USB tonight (1 August UTC) at 02:45 UTC
with actual weather reports and correct time. Still there this morning
at about 10:30 UTC. Nothing heard (or seen on the waterfall) on 15034

** CUBA. 13780, August 1 at 2212, no signal from RHC NF; 15230 is on
at S9 with fair modulation for a change, so I can tell it`s Spanish,

** OKLAHOMA. 1640 kHz, August 1 at 0656, KZLS is back on and // 1390
KCRC with sports talk, but not enough signal to totally overcome noise
level. Underpowered? Also still on at 1455 check (Glenn Hauser, Enid,

** SPAIN. 15500, Fri Aug 1 at 2200, SFR North American frequency still
AWOL, but token English well audible S9+20/30 direct on S American
17715; 15520 and 15390 also on air much weaker. Preview topic ``Otoño
Mágico`` festival among others. 2201 news leads with denunciations of
famine in Gaza. 2203 summary of several wildfires in Spain, some being
contained, others blamed on arson; 1/3 of Spaniards cannot afford to
travel during the holidays. Note that thruout the newscast, there is a
musical bed, briefly brought up in pauses between items: may be
pleasant, but seriously? Then it`s NK Cole with ``Autumn Leaves`` to
intro the fiesta feature, starting with the one in Cáceres province -
but not until November. I guess they just can`t wait for Fall once
it`s August. His song also continues to mix with the item (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785, August 1 at 2157 and several chex later in hour, no
signal from VOT English to N America; nor at 2227 into UTwente, nor on
acidentalternate 9875. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn

This airing succeeded every week in July, so I`ve now labeled it

gospel huxter referring to upcoming date for Passover this year,
2015!! So like TOMBS, DGS, PPP, playing back really oldstuff as if

** U S A. Pre- `AAAWWW` chex of WBCQs Aug 1 at 2352 into NH SDR: 9330
S9+15 with WLCR; 7490 -78 Hz = 7389.922 S9+20 FKB; 6160 off, but trace
of CRI, OTHR, but on by *2355 -73 Hz = 6159.927, S9+15 IS & ID loop;
5130 -86 Hz = 5129.914 S9+40 open carrier, and IS & ID loop from 2355,
seems synched with 6160 but different programming to follow. 3265 NO
signal.

UT Sat Aug 2 at 0000 I`m on 7490, to hear that the following AAAWWW
originally aired on May 30, 2025 - guess what, already repeated once
on July 4/5 as I reported on both dates. Never mind. Easily searched

Faith``,

From now and for an unknowntime, at least for 3 years, I will not use any radio except the remote SDRs forDXing. Recently we moved from the village back to the city in a space thatprohibits the use of desktop DXing, a place flooded by high levels of noise inthe LMHF bands. The radio is now used mostly for FM, for news listening.we runpolitically lively condition with always very interesting twits every day ..
