supposed to be off; surprised at 2052 to hear their IS & ID loop
run-up to start at ``top of the hour`; and 2100 into `La Rosa de
Tokio`, the media program from Argentina which has nothing to do every
week with Tokyo Rose, now a good signal into Maryland SDR. Had not
been resuming until 2200 as still shown on skedgrid, and indeed `LRT`
is scheduled on `internet only` Thu at 2100. If this keep up, WORLD OF
RADIO will also get more 9955 airings, Fri 2130 & Sun 2100 -- except,
from Sun Mar 10 with EDT all programming expected to shift one UT hour
earlier - but what about the frequency times?? If it`s still *2100,
WOR will again be at 2030 & 2000 before SW is back on.

I figured this would not be from Antarctica, where KC4 used to be the
exclusive? prefix for US bases. Now it could be anywhere CONUS not

Wednesday March 6 at 0030 on WRMI 9395, S9+10/20 into Maryland SDR.
From next week with DST, this shifts one real UT hour earlier to 2330
UT Tuesdays.

Not confirmed Wed Mar 6 at 1520 the secret 1500 on WRMI 9955, instead
some misc. undermodulated music, same as on webcast. Skedgrid always
showed this Thu at 1500 but was really on Wed instead of FAD, in Dec,
Jan, and most of Feb until last week.

At 1530 when RAE in French is sked, instead nothing but continuous
multilingual RAE IDs - like this slot has been for weeks, months - a
total loss! At 1600, 9955 via Maryland SDR goes to gospel huxter,
while webcast splits away to DW Africa, presumably from WRN, past 1630
but about 1637 cut to more misc. music fill; and at 1700 into NHK
Newsline. Presumably also from WRN but WRN IDs are never to be
heard.

BTW, I notified Jeff about missing Xmtr 2 and Tuesdays on the skedgrid
and says he has restored them, unknown how that could happen.

WOR 2232 confirmed Wednesday March 6 at 2030 on SW Radio, Germany,
3975.001, S9/+15 into UTwente; following ADDX in German, but after
2000 there was ham news in Amerenglish.

Also confirmed Wednesday March 6 at 2200 on WBCQ 7490-, JBA direct
recognizable as me; slightly better 2227 during eclipse info, so is
correct episode. Due to imposition of DST March 10, from next week for
8 months will air one real hour earlier at 2100, further into daytime

** YEMEN [non]. 11915, March 6 at 2320, S6/S7 of horrible noisebuzz
into UTwente, *just like* we heard until last week on 11820, and
before that on 11860, Sa`udi relay of Republic of Yemen Radio, since
the Houthis don`t allow it inside Yemen. I bet this be their new
chosen frequency, maybe running 18 hours a day, and indeed off after
2400 like 11820 had been, so what will it victimise here, per EiBi
listings?

On 11915 itself, nothing but CNR2 and RTI. 11920 nothing but one hour
a week of VORW via France! 11910, VOK and NHK, all of those on limited
skeds. At 2332 I check it into UTwente. In Sync mode if I punch in
11915 it displays 11914842.03 at S8. Rock steady while normal signals
wobble at least a little down to the hundredth of a Hz. If I step up
to 11920 and back to 11915, it then displays 11914840.44, again rock
steady. Down to 11910 and back up to 11915: 11915201.72 - apparently
the `lock` hits an exact spot within the noise bandwidth at the first
instant and stix to it!

At 0013 March 7 recheck, JBA signal on 11915 locking at UTwente but
then gone immediately. Maybe CNR2 gearing up for *0030 via as site,
which means Baoji-Sifangshan, Shaanxi, #724.

Then I see that Aoki, not EiBi already lists 11915: 1755-2257 R. Saudi
in Arabic from Riyadh, daily. Surely same transmitter but we can`t be
positive the inaudible programming be Yemenish (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

penner maybe Hussein. 2342 ``A-B-Y-S`` promo. 2348 `Turkey`s Geomarked
[sic] Products` about meatballs made from sheep at a town in central
Anatolia whose name I cannot understand, and it isn`t even spelt!

a second-adjacent state, even when some OK NDBs are not copiable
except local 341 EI Enid and 515 PN Ponca. As for first-adjacent KS,
now only 332 IC, 25 watts from wIChita, and 407 HRU 25 watts from
Herington. Can`t pull 395 CA, 25 watts from Newton as sometimes
possible, as HNL at this spot is S9. Powers above per RNA list;
dxinfocentre.com lists 332 IC as 400 watts, but I`ll believe it`s
really 25 as at night it`s hard to detect vs 1000 watt QT Thunder Bay

** U S A. 9955 anomalies of WRMI: March 5 at 0807 is off the air,
normally all-night with TOMBS, while 9395 & 9455 are propagating. At
1630, 9955 is still on but JBA, gone by 1640 recheck. Turnoff time for
this varies widely. WRMI-3 skedgrid shows 9955 daily until 1600 with
RAE French at 1530, but whenever checked it`s been nothing but
continuous ID fillers; and shows extended to 1700 only on Sats with
TOMBS. However, System B program sked shows until 1630 switch to
internet only with WRN after 1600 daily except TOMBS on Sat. And this
does not match the even more outdated System E = TOMBS sked.
Furthermore, the Xmtr 3 sked of 9955 now shows at 0500-1100 it`s only
Sat & Sun with TOMBS, a recent change? if correct.

Note there will be further confusion from March 10 with the imposition
of DST. This causes some WRMI Systems to move programming one real
hour earlier, staying on ET = EDT instead of EST, while others stay on
UT with no changes. Note that this affects Systems, whatever
transmitter/frequency they may employ at any particular time.

Also we note that there is now NO column for Transmitter 2 which has
been eliminated completely. And transmitter 1 on 7730 for Latin
America is totally blank 24 hours. Nor is 7730 assigned to any other
Xmtr. So is it off the air or not? 7730 still shows for numerous
program sked entries in several Systems including E = TOMBS. Seems
like I tuned across it just last night. Very unfortunately, WRMI skeds
are always rife with inconsistencies, self-contradixions.

Oh2, looking at the skedgrids as displaying at 1900 UT March 5, the
TUESDAY column is MISSING FROM ALL SYSTEMS!!! Just like the
Transmitter #2 column. Still so at 2335. What a mess - until I checked
the headers, I thought WOR at 1500 on 9955 was finally displaying
correctly on Wednesday instead of alleged Thursday. It`s now in the
third column from the left, but that`s Thu since there is no Tue for

modulation, found here after missing from 13650 at 2312, so on WRONG
frequency, this CRI `Portuguese` relay which reliably for years has
been nothing but - the same? - fill music day after day. Certainly not
// 11760 RHC Spanish which at 2305 was crackly and squealy.

** EGYPT [and non]. 9899.953, March 4 at 1846, extremely distorted
talk and music with whine, S9+15/35 into UTwente, no doubt R. Cairo
during Turkish at 17-19 UT. As first reported at 1745 by Dr Hansjoerg
Biener, then by several others in the WOR iogroup. Had been totally
off air for several days supposedly fixing things, but back now as
awful as ever. Mod stops abruptly and carrier off a few sex later at
1900*.

I quickly retune UTw to next sked frequency, 9410 for 19-20 German,
but no show in a few minutes. I break for lunch. Recheck *1930 open
carrier on 9410.000, something else? 1933* off again uncovering some
strange noises nearby. Instead of 9410, this hour ending on 9889.954
at 1857, same strength and horrible distortion as 9900 had. 9890 at
2000 timesignal and off uncovering KSDA in Korean. 2002 now Cairo is
back on 9900, distorted and splattering down to 9890, in presumed
French. Also with tones as if audio mixing from some utility service.

``9900`` also sked for 2000-2115 French, 2345-0200 Arabic and Spanish;
will 9440 English 2115-2245 also be back like this? No, nothing there
at 2156, but 9900.004 is still on with open carrier S9+5/15 and
beepery. I think emissions after 2245 have been gone for a longtime.
Instead of something like Portuguese filling the 2245-2345 hour,
that`s always been sked obviously via another transmitter, at
2215-2330, on 9885. Something`s always egregious in Egypt (Glenn

** NORTH AMERICA. 15409.981 AM, March 4 at 1652, via Missouri remote,
Station YHWH is S5/S7, JBA undermodulated with the intonations of
Josiah Elias occasionally recognizable; tnx to tip from Rick Barton,
AZ, who had him at 1630. I had not noticed him in routine bandscan
direct a few minutes earlier. 1710 QRM from Spanish 2-way on
15413-USB, see unID. Still trace of YHWH carrier by 1730 but no audio

ID and interview, a separate `Hybrid Arts Week` March 7-10 taking
place informally in a hotel, has been going since *2016y (Glenn

UTwente and no XJRTV either which doesn`t come on until circa 2311.
Instead, VOT English is still stuck on 9610.008, which was supposed to
stop by 2230 after the previous English hour. Something`s always
erroneous at Emiler, zzzz. 9610+ is VG S9+25 into UTwente, and can`t
hear CNR understation in Mongolian this time. Same hour I`m listening
to the final FTIOM on WBCQ, so checking this from time to time or
juggling them both. 2320 plug TRTWorld.com for world news in 41
languages.

2325, `Letterbox` is just starting with contact info. Presenter
appears to be reading all the `letters` cold, so he stumbles around
about pronunciations, and picking out some of their comments. A little
more preparation would be professional but he certainly comes across
as casual. Most are requesting QSLs, and many send or enclose
postcards which he describes, from: Italy, Japan, China, Allen Dean in
England, China, Australia. Nothing from USA or Hemisphere West; I
don`t think I missed any. Time`s up by 2346 so a loving goodbye,

blaster, just like old times, some kind of protest against WRMI which

rather dead air into Maryland SDR, and also dead air on stream which
is running. In a few minutes I email Larry Will and the boardops,
Hello? But no immediate replies and no axion. Remains silent past
0430. By 0511 recheck, 6160 resumes TOMBS but stream is still
silent.

** U S A. (7490v), Sun Mar 3 at 2300-2400, enjoyed `From the Isle of
Music`, finale on WBCQ. I`m glad it was on SW, but in reality, much
more convenient and better `reception` here via webcast, even tho any
originally stereo music still came thru as mono. Lots of short pieces
and announcements by Uncle Bill. Plans to resume in April via some
European SW transmitter, where he expects more support; and we could
still pick it up by remote. I assume same applies to his alternate
show, `Uncle Bill`s Melting Pot`. I wonder what will be in this slot
