DX Tip: KIQS 1560 Willows, CA  View Printable Version

HCDX
Thanks to Tim Hall for the tip, I logged this station well before Willows
sunrise this morning (Fri, Dec 27th). He heard KIQS at 9pm pacific time
with a full ID and programming the night before. The station is a 250 watt
non directional daytimer that isn't signing off. They play a variety of
mexican music and you can find their stream here:

We have received several reports for the beacon transmission. But to nite
we change the frequency to 6355kHz, alternative frecuency will be 6330kHz.
Check our web page where we will update any frecuency change, and also an
alert of when it is in or off.

Normal sched until January the 2nd is from 23 utc to 08 utc. Frequency
6355kHz 10 watts.

There is a big ute pulser on 6340.9 as checked at 2229 UT Dec 25, so a good idea to distance from it but yours not heard. Is this from Europe or South America? 73, Glenn Hauser, OK
