Logs
** OKLAHOMA. 1640 kHz, July 31 at 1820 UT, routine midday AM bandscan
discovers, despite my huge local noise level, that KZLS is off the
air? Or rather outside on the portable DX-398 with less noise, there
is a JBA carrier on 1640, rather than blasting in as it should with
stupid sportstalk // 1390 KCRC. Can`t tell if there be any modulation
on the carrier. Still inaudible 0133 UT August 1 (Glenn Hauser, Enid,
WOR)

Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1130 kHz, July 31 at 0638 UT, hearing only KWKH Shreveport
LA sportstalk. Normally dominated by KLEY Wellington KS rock music,
licensed for 250 watts day, ONE WATT night, but obviously cheating for
years. Now really off the air, and no signal in daytime at 1441. I
assume if and when they revive, will also resume cheating all night
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2306)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7235.0, July 31 at 0638, JBA carrier for third night in
a row when no broadcasters scheduled - and even on the indoor random
wire due to storms (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2306)

Glenn Hauser logs July 29-30, 2025  View Printable Version
Thursday, July 31 2025

Logs
** BRAZIL. 11754.46 approx., July 30 at 0618, JBA carrier, no doubt R.
Voz Missionária, nominal 11750 which used to vary slightly below that.
But Rudolf Grimm first reported it closer to 11755:

``11754.11 kHz: Radio Voz Missionaria, Camboriú SC: 29/07 1518 15321.
In summary (at this time, July 29, 2318 UTC):
5940.3 kHz: Operating. 15321. During today, 45554.
9664.96 kHz: Noticeable oscillations, as if someone were working on
the transmitter. During the last check, the signal suddenly spiked to
45554, but less than 10 seconds later, it returned to its minimum.
11750.0 kHz: An extreme weak signal. A male voice murmur can be heard
in the background, typical of RVM. 15211. After some time, this
pattern can change completely. Hi Glenn, Now, 30/07 0212 UTC, RVM
again on 11754.40. 73, Rudolf Grimm``

Then I also get a JBA signal at 0620 July 30 about 9664.94 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA [non]. Tnx to Tony Pavick for QSL in mail and enclosures for
the Canada Day DRM broadcast via Woofferton UK, July 2 at 0333 on
11960:

155. https://www.w4uvh.net/PopShop_logolabel.jpg

157. https://www.w4uvh.net/PopShop_MooseHidesample.jpg
or via http://www.worldofradio.com/QSL.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13780, July 29 at 2214, RHC NF missing, while OF 15230 is on
with S9+10/20 of dead air. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13780, July 30 at 2210, RHC not off the air, S9+10/20 with
good mod in Spanish. 15230 is S9 but extremely suptorted, and not //,
perhaps Portuguese (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GERMANY. 11655, July 30 at 0614, something goes off at 0615*
shortly after tune-in. Aoki shows Bible Voice Broadcasting in Arabic
via Nauen at 0600-0615 only - but also: NHK in Arabic via France at
0600-0620! No sign of that so maybe collision already resolved. EiBi
lax the latter, only Nauen. Japan/France on 17660 instead (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 15500, July 29 at 2200, this SFR is still absent for N
America, notright at Noblejas, but the others are back on, but since
it`s Tuesday, Sephardic, almost Spanishic, not Englishic. Weak 15390,
fair 15520, and booming S9+20/30 on 17715 direct tho for S America
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 15500, July 30 at 2200, SFR no signal for N American token
English still today, but audible on 15390 S5/S7, better 15520 S8/9+10
direct and best by far 17715 at S9+20/30 despite S American aiming;
previews something about poetry; 2201 news leads with Kamchatka
earthquake, of course, tsunamis, fires in Ávila, Extremadura, evax
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.004+, July 29 at 2159, VOT not off the air, IS & ID
in English, S9+10/20 direct which should be sufficient but not with my
noise level. At 2232 into UTwente when measured, S9+45, talk feature
by Efsun the axentuated until 2248 music; 2253 s/off as if at 1230 on
17620, awry in Ankara, 2254 IS until 2255* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.003+, July 30 at 2159, VOT S9/+10 direct seems
deadair at first, vs high noise level, by 2202 definitely modulating.
At 2238 into UTwente when measured, S9+55 with music. 2253 s/off as if
17620 at 1230, awry at Ankara; 2254 IS for 8 notes and chop*, no
finesse, erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2305 monitoring: ``From: Richard
Lemke, Alberta, Canada, the desk of Richard’s listening Post, Radio:
JRC NRD-535 HF (30 years of service), Antenna: random long wires in
the trees, World of Radio (didn’t hear #my own radio), QSB Fading,
[WRMI]:
9455 kHz, 2357, music no ID, 2330, 2346, 2357 (35442), S5 signal,
2358, July 27 UTC 2025 [Sun]
9395 kHz, voice barely heard, 2359, July 29 UTC 2025 [Tue] (Lemke,
Richard -AB)``

Confirmed Tuesday July 29 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.994+,
S8 into UTwente; following Wavescan.

Also confirmed Tuesday July 29 at 2330 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
3975.001+, S9+5/10 into UTwente.

But NOT confirmed Tuesday July 29 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, now replaced
by preacher, on sked as `New Beginnings` until 2345, then Viva Miami
fill. No, at 2345 it`s novelty music.

Confirmed UT Wednesday July 30 at 0030 on WRMI 9395, S9+10/20 into
Knoxville SDR.

Confirmed Wednesday July 30 at 1930 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
6160.001- S9/+20 and one word behind on 3975.002- S9+10, into
UTwente.

Also confirmed Wednesday July 30 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490 -77 Hz =
7489.923, S9/+15 into NH SDR, calibration accurate compared to WWV.
Again preceded by TOMBS to 2059 and a WBCQ promo/ID. Next:

0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

Thanks for financial support this week from Peter Robinson, Preston
UK, a very generous contribution via PayPal, to woradio at yahoo.com

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to:
Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9930, July 29 at 2217-2220, WTWW putting out several
splatter ranges, roughly 9705-9760, 9800-9860, 9910-9950, 10010-10060,
10090-10155, modulation peaks matching 9930 TOMBS on another radio,
PL-660. At least WRMI and WWV luck out this time (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 9930, July 30 at 2215, WTWW S9+40/50 direct, but NO
widespread splatter unlike yesterday, not even +/- 12.8 kHz discrete
spurs, just a bit of raised noise 9320/9340 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 17790, July 29 at 2200, WRMI still too strong at S9+30/40
direct, this time with `Classic Redneck Radio`, right off the bat
instructing us to pronounce it ``Yahwah``, not Yahweh. Geez, what a
pedant their deity is. No reply from Jeff re my inquiry whether no
longer on 160 degree beam; probably means he does not want to discuss
it, if he got my msg. July 30 at 1842, 17790 is back to a JBA carrier
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9335/9365, July 30 at 2213, spurfield out of 9350 WWCR at
S9+50 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7235.00, July 30 at 0625, JBA carrier again like last
night. Surely a broadcaster, but still nothing listed in HFCC, Aoki or
EiBi (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 18125 USB, July 29 at 2209, CQ 17m in English over and
over from ?CR2OLS; no replies so he gave up after 2 minutes. Always
uttering clear fonetix for the suffix, but never for prefix! maybe
TR2? Anyhow first letter sounds with a long E, so I check all
possibilities in QRZ.com without any hits. Nor any hits at
dxcluster/dxheat (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 28340 USB, July 29 at 2201, OSOB is QSO in Spanish
lacking IDs, not even any beacons. No hits at DXheat/cluster (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

From now and for an unknowntime, at least for 3 years, I will not use any radio except the remote SDRs forDXing. Recently we moved from the village back to the city in a space thatprohibits the use of desktop DXing, a place flooded by high levels of noise inthe LMHF bands. The radio is now used mostly for FM, for news listening.we runpolitically lively condition with always very interesting twits every day ..
