** NORTH AMERICA. 11529.9, Nov 11 at 0406, Hikari FM at S9 with some
JBA talk. At 1542 JBA. Nothing audible now near 11420, but Rick Barton
had reported that second // frequency:

``HIKARI FM (p) 11/9 1610, 11420 (+/-) AM. Was fair at tune-in, but
signal deteriorated quickly at 1620. Faded out but back on Poor to
Fair with 1720 recheck. It was on this recheck we found the station is
// to the 11530 signal (which is much stronger). Heard on Drake SW1,
long wire. --- Fair - Poor Nov 9 +NOTE: As I was preparing to send out
this update (Nov. 10, 1730 UTC) the 11420 // had not been audible
until 1720 - very weak, but def there. 11530 is strong at this
writing. + We had first heard this station on 11/8, but stupidly

** SPAIN. 9690, Mon Nov 11 at 2300, token English from SNR at S9+20/30
direct and sufficient. Previews topic to be analysis of US
presidential elexion, and right into that by 2302, skipping any news!
Not a serious international broadcaster with news so disposable. Guest
is some prof from DePaul?/DePauw? University, the now usual take that
Harris and Democrats did not appeal enough to the masses. Also //
12030 at S9/+10 and detectable on 17715 but not 17755, off? At 2356
checked Canary SDR while in French, three audible there, not 17755 for
Africa (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 9610.018-, Sun Nov 10 at 2151, once again I`m
getting a headstart on the `Letterbox` from VOT English, good level
into UTwente but the CCCCCCI is worse than usual. After a
TRTVOTVorld.com promo, `L`box` starts again with the same non-Efsun YL
as one biweek ago, then maybe named Sylvia? She again gives address
awryly? as P O Box 33, not 333, but spells Yenisehir. {axually WRTH
2024 shows 33, so maybe previous hearing/seeing as 333 were wrong or
changed.} 1) Pakistan. 2) Manitoba?? 3) Port Alberni, Canada -- it`s a
huge country, so could you include the province? BC. Each wants a QSL
and that`s all besides mentioned date of report. Only 3? 2155 music
break already. 2159 not another mailer but into a long spiel about
Turkish Independence and Atatürk, still past 2203. Provoked by some
holiday/anniversary? No L`Box theme yet so still considered part of
that? With annoying reception, I quit.

5960, Sun Nov 10 at 2259 into UTwente, VOT IS and s/on as sked, only
program previewed is `Letterbox`. So I`ll check 2331 to hear if there
were more than 3 --- but now it`s OFF, nothing but the ChiCom. 9610 is
also occupied by a different ChiCom program. Something`s always
erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960, Nov 11 at 2302, VOT English not off the
air, S9+30 direct yet JBA/insuff vs noise level. Not got around to
checking UTwente until 2353 when it`s off, nothing but Chinese music
on 5960.003+. Had VOT just closed or was it gone much earlier? (Glenn

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2268 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
November 10 at 2000 on IRRS/NEXUS via AM Italia, 1323 kHz, S9 into
UTwente across Europe, after s/off of ``7290``.

Also confirmed Sunday November 10 at 2230 on SW Radio,Germany,
3975.003, S8/S9 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Sunday November 10 at 2337 the 2330 on WRMI 7780
instead of still silent but scheduled 7570, S9+15/20 into S TX SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday November 11 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S9+10/22
into  S TX SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday November 11 at 0400.6 in Area 51 via WBCQ
6159.9, S9+10/20 but JBA direct, after JL ``Bye, y`all`` at 0400. At
0410 into NH SDR, 6159.93 at S5/S7.

For unknown reasons, Firefox causes a mysterious problem in the design of the WP page, making only blank pages . From now on, I move my editing via Brave mixed with QuilBot plugin; QT  offers enhanced editing  with lots of very useful grammar plugins and 35 language  translation service (everything is AI based ).

From now and for an unknowntime, at least for 3 years, I will not use any radio except the remote SDRs forDXing. Recently we moved from the village back to the city in a space thatprohibits the use of desktop DXing, a place flooded by high levels of noise inthe LMHF bands. The radio is now used mostly for FM, for news listening.we runpolitically lively condition with always very interesting twits every day ..

amid some good music, and good signal into Brasília SDR, but nothing
from Belo Horizonte on 15190. Another check at 0355, S9/+10. About all
I ever hear direct is the JBA off-frequency carrier of ZYE521 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 870, Nov 10 at 0314, whooper is way louder than
WWL! not exactly spaced, but I count 67 in a quarter minute -> 268 per
minute. A.k.a. wobbler. WRTH shows tres Relojes of 10, 10 and 1 kW

** PERU. 5025, Nov 10 at 0158, JBA signal, maybe trace of modulation.
Cuba has been off for a while, so our golden opportunity to hear R.
Quillabamba. Aoki shows until 0200*, EiBi until 0220* and from *0957.
Unless it`s a Rebelde exciter-only; this signal still there at 0321

on to `Simply Folk`, S9+20/30 direct. The 0142-0152 show is DX Mailbag

** SCOTLAND [non]. 5850, UT Sun Nov 10 at 0154, `Encore` classical
music hour, S9+20/30 via WRMI, concluding with a Chopin Nocturne. I
always try to hear each excellent fortnightly programme at least once

musicbits. EiBi shows VOA, 9575 via THAILAND, 9800 via PHILIPPINES, so

** U S A. 4840, UT Sun Nov 10 at 0415, following `Ask WWCR`, right
into horrible off-key amateur hymn-singing, and a few minutes later,
gospel-huxtering. WWCR have finally canceled, it seems, the
four-year-old `Australian DX Reports` with Bob Padula; but still shows
on their program sked. They must have found out somehow, as I would
not notify them directly (it was at 0315 UT until this week due to
DST). Now people may listen to some real current DX news from me at
same time on 1860 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 660, Nov 10 at 0319 UT, chanting and drumming, dead giveaway
it`s KTNN AZ in its Navajo/Navaho/Dineh split personality, otherwise
C&W, and that it`s on ND day pattern not protecting NY; often the case
but I have not kept track recently when it was correctly not audible

** U S A. 770, Nov 10 at 0316 UT, open carrier/dead air, loops E/W on
the PL-660. Very likely KKOB ABQ NM, probably still on 12.5 kW STA,
but some test? Is there any progress in rebuilding their ballooned
tower? Not there around 0730 final recheck (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 900 kHz, Nov 10 at 0159 UT, too-fast multi-station ID,
including two FM translators, one of them W252##, which is 98.3, and
``Lebanon`` also heard, so it is in fact WKDA, Lebanon TN, as
concluded likely in my last report as unID. NRC AM Log shows 98.3 in
the group is W252DU. WTFDA FMDB shows that one relays WCOR 1490, which
is also in Lebanon. This sure is convoluted (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 900, Nov 10 at 0305, JBA ID thru pileup on E/W loop,
sounds like KAOK. Closest fuzzy fit is KHOZ, Harrison AR (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1549.915 approx., Nov 10 at 0735 UT, het to 1550.00
stations; as noted a few times before. Anyone else hearing this?
Nothing so far off in USA, per mwoffsets. Four even lower all in S
America, doubtful (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 4975.0, Nov 10 at 0157, JBA carrier, intriguing as
nothing listed here in WRTH, Aoki, EiBi, not even a ute in Klingenfuß.
At same time are JBA carriers from Perú on 4775, 4810, 4820, 5025.
Could still be a ute, or pirate, unlikely spur. Searching 4975 in the
UDXF iog gets 13 hits from 2007 to 2019; in 2018y a frequency bearing
M14 numbers station in MCW (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
