Glenn Hauser logs July 18-19, 2025 |
|
Saturday, July 19 2025
** CUBA. 13780, July 18 at 2219 & 2310 & 2341 chex into Georgia SDR, NO signal from RHC`s new frequency any more. Did not check this morning (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MEXICO. 760.13, July 18 at 0535, het against WJR, again presumed XEDGO, Durango2, in mwoffsets at 760.125. I could believe it`s between .120 and point 130 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 15500 & 17715 both S9+20/30 direct, 15520 S9/+10, and 15390 S7/S9, token English from SNR in news. 2207 feature about rising temps in the MeditSea, 5-7 degrees higher than a year ago (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785.003+, July 18 at 2158, VOT English not off the air, audible direct but insuff vs noise level. At 2220 into Georgia SDR, S8/9+5 in a travelog about Anatolia, with ACI from 11780 Brasil. At 2223 into UTwente when measured, S9+35/45 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2304 monitoring: confirmed first SWBC, Friday July 18 at 1300 on WRMI 15770, JBA direct. Also confirmed Friday July 18 at 2039 the 2030 on WRMI webcast, presumably still only tho did not check 9955 to be sure. Also confirmed Friday July 18 at 2040 the 2030 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323, S5/S6 into nearby Parma SDR, but not on 918 anymore, nor 207. Also confirmed Friday July 18 at 2202 the 2200 on WRMI 9955, sounds JBM direct, at 2211 recognizably me; and at 2220 into Georgia SDR, S9/+10 and modulation seems adequate: often such an anomaly concerning 9955. Also confirmed Friday July 18 at 2230 on SW Gold Radio, Germany, 3975.000+, S8/9+5 into UTwente. Next: 0300 UT Saturday WTWW 5085 [sometimes]; 1430 UT Saturday SW Radio, Germany 6160; 1730 UT Saturday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM [1900/2100]; 2100 UT Saturday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 2230 UT Saturday WRMI 15770 to NE; 2300 UT Saturday WTWW 9475 [suspended]; 0230vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0400]; 1900 UT Sunday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323 and/or 918; 2100 UT Sunday WRMI 15770 to NE; 2130 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9455 to NW; 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW; 0830 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160 [suspended]; 1930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW; 1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 2000 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323 and/or 918; 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW [NEW]; 1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160. Thanks for financial support this week from Peter Robinson, Preston UK, a very generous contribution via PayPal, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9980-10010 & 9855-9875, rough spans of TOMBS splatter out of 9930 WTWW, July 18 at 2210 direct. No longer have to differentiate it from 9980 as WWCR is QRT. Especially annoying vs 10000 WWV! But 9955 WRMI and I, more or less unscathed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5085, UT Sat July 19 at 0102, this WTWW is on air with preaching, not BS nor T2P nor PPP? So prospects are good for WOR at 0300 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5800, 5850, 5950, 7730, 9455 strongest with hum, July 18 at 0554, dead air on all these WRMIs instead of scheduled `Classic Redneck Radio`, quite an improvement. Too weak to be sure: 7780, 15770, while 9955 seems JBM. Xmtr grid shows System E, C.R.R. before 0600 on: 7730, 9955, 5950, 5800, 9455, 5850, 7780. WRMI jingle and `Lifeline` heard on 7570, sked for `Legends` on Sys C; SMTV on 9395 & 15770 Sys J (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` chex of WBCQs, July 18 at 2345 into NH remote: 7490 -73 Hz = 7489.927, S9/+5 with FKB; 6160.001 algo else JBA presumably East Turkistan. 5130 -84 Hz = 5129.916, open carrier S9+5. 3265 is ON for first time in a long time, FKB // 7490-, S5/S9 but I don`t get it measured before off again; habitually way on the plus side unlike the others. 9330 S7/S8 WLCR Portuguese. At 2355, 5130- has started IS & ID loop. July 19 at 0000, 5130- with ID, dead air, something not AAAWWW, presumably the ex-6160 program. At 0002 as expected, 3265, 7490- and 9330.0 are in WTO and `AAAWWW`, initial comment: ``another day, another dollar``. 7490 suffers from OTH radar clickery on the minus side, so I keep listening on USB, or 3265. Angela is on the phone, and we rarely hear from her during the hour. It turns out that I listen to the whole thing, as there is not a bit about Drumpf. It`s hot everywhere. First live show in a while. Allan is alone in Maine. Been working on transmitters. Moving heavy plate transformers. 6160 has been down for a couple of weeks. 50 kW unit has a 10 kW driver, and the xfmr burned out. It`s 65 years old, air-cooled, not oil-. From the graveyard a replacement weighs 800 lb, so moved it into the 6160 building, but will take a while to modify and rewire. Wayne Anderson, longtime staffer, multi-tasker, died suddenly of heart attack a week ago, very much missed, at age 59. Diet advice: avoid processed foods, red meat except as occasional treat. By 0029 the storm noise level is growing so I switch to the A51 webcast - even tho A51 is now on neither 5130 nor 6160. 0030 datestamp as live on 18 July, YOOLF 2025, trimulcasting on 9330, 7490, 3265. 0032 spends rest of hour reading an essay he got by email from Green World Order, about how humanity should stop warring, reduce population over time, and provide energy abundance for everyone. I agree it was good and thought-provoking, except for some of the religious angles, q.v.? Finished just in time for a quick prayer and turn over to Hal Turner - except not on the A51 stream, instead ID as WKHS in northern Maryland, Kent? County High School. WTFDA FMDB shows WKHS as 90.5 in Worton MD, relay of WXPN 88.5, adult alternative (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1030 kHz, July 18 at 0550 UT, ``News Radio WBZ`` ID in passing. Always glad to pick up this most distant of the conterminous clears, Boston at 1484 miles (Seattle only 1456). Mixed with gospel-sounding harmonies I was hoping to ID, as daytimer/limiteder 50 KCTA Corpus Christi TX has been reported running too late. Unfortunately there are a few other REL formats on 1030. Needed to DF it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0148 UT July 19 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

Friday, July 18 2025
** CANADA. 7850 RCUSB, July 17 at 0622, CHU back on now, S9. And Richard Langley reports: ``Confirmed 7850 kHz back on again when I checked this morning (17 July) at about 1115 UT`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 13780, July 17 at 1358, JBA in Spanish, RHC new frequency; while 15230 is a JBA carrier. Chris Campbell got this from his contact at RHC: ``RHC is trying a new frequency, 13780 in Spanish and I hope in a few days they will have tests on other frequencies for the English service. The country is in chaos. Food, medicines, cooking gas, electricity, public transport. Too many needs extremely hard to satisfy. I am talking about the basics, no luxury at all. I am better than other people my age and some days I have just one meal to leave something for the next day, not to mention saving something for the kids`` And from Luis H. Esquivel in California at 1224 UT July 17: ``Good Morning, I'm listening to RHC on 13780 kHz on one of my favorite Kiwi SDR's in Lamont, Alberta Canada, http://72.172.110.98:8175/ My go to SDR for being more local to me at the Mojave Desert California has been offline lately so I went to my next favorite because of the antenna system it uses and selected the 22m band and a strong signal got my attention at 13780 khz and to my surprise is Radio Habana Cuba. I'm recording it but hope you might be able to pick it up. Take care, sincerely, Luis H Esquivel, K6LHE`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2304) ** U S A [and non]. 13605, 11930, 11860, July 17 at 1356 Grimesland open carriers for R. Martí which blasts programming by 1400 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9395, July 17 at 1349, S5/S6 of open carrier/dead air. This WRMI-6 is supposed to be 24h, with `Classic Redneck Radio` at this time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9930, July 17 at 1350, WTWW already on with TOMBS. If now 24h, what is the switch time between 5920 & 9930; from 9930 to 5920 had been 0130, or earlier 0100? Tony Pavick reports July 16: ``Regarding Overcomer on WTWW 9930: I caught them this morning 1300 UT with and very good signal with somewhat distorted audio, apart from the incredible caterwauling of the singer on the Overcomer broadcast. My reason for mentioning it here is that while the post here says 70 kilowatts, the WTWW top of hour ID said 100 kilowatts. No doubt they are just using a previously recorded ID. Tony Pavick, Hope BC`` Yes, nominal 100 kW, but George reduces to 70 to save expenses, and feels there is no difference to the listener (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9265, Thu July 17 at 0620, S9/+5, screaming gospel huxter, not // 5920 TOMBS, so not TOMBS? WINB extended schedule as occasionally happens. What does program sked show? Effective July 13, but not with this: still claims WINB Off Air, Thursdays 0400-1858! And every day, except Sundays, off 0400-1158, Saturdays off 0400-1500. Also 9265 JBA at 1348 July 17 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0126 UT July 18 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
