Program skeds not updated either, still for Sept 1 claiming that
WWCR-4, 5890 operates overnight UT Sat & Sun only, ``OFF AIR`` 05-12

been unable to detect KKLE, Winfield KS, which NRC DX News reported:
``550 KKLE KS Winfield – Silent Aug, 2; back on the air Sept. 20 at
2:30 p.m. Central time.`` It`s U1 250/52 watts, sibling station to
KLEY 1130 Wellington KS, in fact with the same Wellington address, but
news/talk. KLEY has continued active 24h with AC rock format, licensed
as U1 250/1 watt but obviously day power at night. Higher in band
means KKLE weaker here than KLEY but not that much difference on
groundwave at similar distance. If really active, KKLE should also be
250 watts at night? KKLE may be playing games with FCC, like many
stations, firing up briefly to avoid losing license, then off again.
But I don`t recall hearing it before August 2 either (Glenn Hauser,

has been comparing signals via various SDRs and antenna headings

** NIGERIA [non]. 7255-, Oct 3 at 0620, VON with S9+10 of dead air
direct. 7255-, Oct 3 at 1728 into Canary SDR, never any VON, but weak
Tibet, nothing but Chinese music including past 1800. A few syllables
at 1804, music continues to 1805* as sked (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 15520, Oct 3 at 1638, REE manages to modulate the ME
transmitter for the third day in a row, in Arabic, JBA into Maryland
SDR with degraded propagation but S6/S8 into Kuwait. WWV at 1500:

Token English at 2200 Monday Oct 13: into Maryland SDR, 11940 for SAm
is best, S9+10; somewhat less and about the same, 17855 for NAm, 15520
for ME. 11670 for Af also sufficient if none of the others were
available. 2217 about bluesman Watermelon Slim and how he got his
nickname; with blues aficionado Justin Coe, natch (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** TURKEY. 9830.021, Oct 3 at 2225, ``The Healing Screen[?]`` is
subtitle of `Feeling Supreme` per outro at 2228. It was about what to
eat to deal with stress. With horrible squeal, some hum, S9+45 into
UTwente. It was *not* on when first checked at 2200, just weak China
with timesignal at 9830.003. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler.
Meanwhile I had been listening to SPAIN, q.v. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 341 MCW kHz, Oct 3 at 0649 UT, EI, NDB at Woodring AP, EnId
OK, still on; JBA under is DNI, Denison TX - not now nor lately do I
detect the other nearby 341, OIN, Oberlin KS. Wonder if it be off? RNA
Signals List at rxx.classaxe.com says: ``Last Logged 2022-08-14; Don
T. noted off air September 10, 2022``. Before that, the 25-watter was
heard as far away as BC, QC, NS, FINland (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2158 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
October 2 from 2000.5 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz, Villa
Estense, Italy, S9+5/15 into nearby Noale SDR, but with heavy fast SAH
from some understation, can`t discern the language. Not on 918 but
something else weak; 207 nothing but noise.

Confirmed UT Monday October 3 at 0030 on WRMI 5950, new time
fortunately on the only transmitter as yet reactivated, S9+10/20 to
Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday October 3 starting late at 0322 on WBCQ Area
51, 6159.937, S9 into Maryland SDR. Johnny Lightning seemed to finish
by 0301, but RNI ID and more. ``Seems a lot like Xmas`` tune, and talk
segment, anti-Trump? But attributed to iHeart Radio, until 0322 WOR
playing until 0351, followed by unrecognizable stuff, maybe fragment
of HRI which was supposed to be at 0330, but not a new one produced
every week, so expendable?

Looking up something else on Aoki currently dated Sept 29, I am
astounded to see an entry for WOR, et al.:

2016: From December, Hamburger Lokalradio added Sunday 1130 on
9485-CUSB.

of them correct for WRMI when active, some showing winter instead of
summer timings, and one more for defunct HLR:

** U S A. 5950, Oct 3 at 1448, JBA carrier from presumed WRMI,
inadequate in the daytime but glad to have something back on. On FB
circa 14 UT Oct 3:

``Restoration efforts continue today at WRMI. Engineers were trying to
fix the transmission lines for transmitter 5 (9455 kHz) this morning,
but the ground is very wet, muddy and swampy, and two trucks have
become stuck in the swamp. So they are going to try to get the
transmission lines fixed for transmitter 6 (9395 kHz) next. So far we
still have only 5950 kHz on the air, and it's on 24 hours per day. Our
Internet stream with the 9955 kHz programming is also operational
(www.wrmi.net).

These photos will give you an idea what we are dealing with as many of
these poles that carry the transmission lines out to the antennas are
seriously leaning or down altogether. They have to be put back up and
reinforced so that the transmission lines are off the ground
again.``

Dear Friends and Clients: We got another frequency back on the air
today. At 1945 UT we were able to put Transmitter 6 (9395 kHz) back on
the air. The process of repairing the transmission lines in the
antenna field is going rather slowly due to the extreme muddy and
swampy environment. But our crew continues to work in these conditions
to get everything back on the air. We hope to get 9455 kHz back on
tomorrow if all goes well, and then we'll work on others. We'll keep

Certainly not WRMI, the only thing listed on 9395 24 hours, in Aoki,
EiBi, HFCC; and no N nearby either in HFCC. Guess maybe it`s China or
