Saturday, September 24 2022
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, via Argentine SDR, Sat Sept 24 from *1459 cut on in music, VG S7/S9 signal, 1501 standard s/ons with staff names, 1503 theme song, 1505.5 poetic recitation, ``primavera`` song; 1513.5 ID with `su companyia` and into live talk by the YLs starting the 22nd program of the season with guests, chicos from the secundaria. Certainly a repeat of what I heard Wednesday, so I don`t pay much further attention; but at 1525, just in case I try for even a carrier trace direct: no. 1534 greetings from phone callers, but chop off during chat at 1542*. In case, I let it run until 1600, but nothing more (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CANADA. 750, Sept 24 at 0627 UT, WSB is off for tower-light maintenance the third and last? night in a row. On DX398 with internal antenna only and altazimuth wrist mount, not much from Cuba this time, but Spanish looping NE/SW, i.e. KAMA El Paso, see USA. From NW/SE in English, ``Now, let`s put on some tunes``, and 0635 ``80s, 90s, Beach Radio, more? fun``. At 0627 I had thought it was ``News Radio``. This is the 25 kW Canadian far from any ocean beach in Melfort SK, CKJH. Atlas shows Sask. River in the area and some little lakes, maybe providing some kind of beach, or wishful branding? Website pictures a very rocky beach and zero sunbathers: https://beachradiosk.ca/ I have heard this before with or without WSB. Supposedly direxional almost all northward at night with a notch toward WSB, ND daytime (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA [and non]. 11880, Sept 23 at 2312, RHC second English broadcast of day is another total loss, S7/S9+5 of dead air except for some crackling. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 11760, Sept 23 at 2312, S9+20 of dead air except maybe a trace of modulation. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 11850, Sept 23 at 2312, this RHC is off, also depriving us of the 11840 & 11860 spurs. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 5040, Sept 23 at 2313, RHC good with music, could be English hour inaudible on 11880, more likely Spanish as recently. 11950, Sept 23 at 2313, RHC with loud Spanish, presumably the alternate TV audio hour of `Mesa Redonda`, but nominal // 6000 is off. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 9535, Sept 23 at 2314, Chinese has CCI with a SAH presumably caused by RHC always weakish here. CC is CNR1 jamming and/or RFA Kuwait. 11670, Sept 23 at 2315, RHC Spanish, S7/S9 distorted. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** EGYPT. 9439.995, Sept 23 at 2157, no signal in extremely distorted English from R. Cairo into UTwente; somethings always amiss at Abis (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Sept 24 at 0715, JBA carrier from R. Kiribati, nothing else on 9/kHz splits (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MALI. 5995, Sat Sept 24 at 1850, since I`ve just checked for NIGERIA on the Canary SDR, time for weekly English from ORTM, better luck from this, S8/9+10 with warning in French that English is to follow. YL accent so heavy she`s almost impossible to comprehend; alternating OM is better but subjects do not grab my attention. 1904 brief noise burst and running-H2O QRM. 1905 mentions ``92.0`` and abrupt cut to music. That`s their FM frequency in Bamako (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NIGERIA. 7255-, Sept 24 at 0641, no signal direct from VON. Something`s always absent from Abuja. 7255-, Sept 24 at 1849, no VON signal into Canary Islands SDR, not checked earlier; was it offandonandoffandon, or just off? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6974.9 approx. AM, Sept 24 at 0126, JBA pirate music. Many other reports as unID on 6974.89: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,102244.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6960 AM, Sept 24 at 0127, pirate music at S9+20; 0133 soft tunes, YL ID? 0137 ``Teenagers in Love``; 0139 ID, ``Ball Smacker Radio`` with tenpins SFX. This is her regular Friday-night frequency; 0143 ``Down in the Boondox``; ID again at 0145, ``Ball Smacker Radio, [tenpins], 6960 AM, somewhere in the Northeast``. Meanwhile, I have been getting another B.S.R.[?] on 6950 USB, q.v. - sure hope I`ve not mixed up my log notes about them. Much more here: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,102253.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6950 USB, Sept 24 at 0126, S9 pirate music; 0129 YL refers to ballsmackerradio.org -- what? Goes nowhere. BSR is already on 6960 AM, q.v. 0147 something about ``gold-plated`` and website again. 0151 listeners static?, 0152 transmitter off and on a few times, barking sound. 0157 different ID by OM over music and surprise CW once, only copied last letter, D or G. These explain it was really WDOG doing parody of BSR, maybe Bone Snacker? No such website either. https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,102258.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 1120 kHz, Sept 23 at 0118 UT, heavy Spanish QRM to KMOX, presumed KETU Catoosa/Tulsa again overtime past offical Sept sunset of 0030 UT; Oct: 2345. I think: FCC AM Query can`t find this or any OK station on 1120! So I look up KRMG SS times. It would be a rare day indeed if a clear channel station ever sic`ed the FCC upon such repeat encroachers (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 27184.5 AM, Sept 23 at 2311, local Enid CB pirate is still undermodulated, relaying and // music on 95.7 FM KXLS, S9 enough to block the channel. At end of AAAWWW on WBCQ before 0100 UT Sept 24, reading some items from FRW specially compiled by lw, since new issue of FRW edited by Dave is never done before Saturday morning; including ``Good Buddy Radio`` in OK on CB ch 19, 27185 --- I never heard it called that. Did some otherokie report it? AW never mentions who logged the items he refers to, all too briefly, an opportunity ``not to encourage`` piracy, instead buy legal time on WBCQ, the only licensed [ex]pirate (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 17855, Friday Sept 23 at 2200, tokEnglish from REE, VG into Maryland SDR, previews an interview with some scientist about the Juno mission exploring Jupiter and satellites. In a few minutes I am listening mostly to that rather than the simulcompetition from Turkey, etc. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830, Sept 23 at *2158, VOT carrier on at S9+45/50 into UTwente, 2200 opening English but very undermodulated so again I have to run both remote and local volumes at max for `normal` listening level. But the competition from SPAIN has a more interesting topic today, q.v. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U K [non]. 11825, Sept 23 at 2318, surprised to find an S1/S5 yet sufficient signal from BBCWS in English discussing expansion of Commonwealth to unlikely members like Mozambique. This hour only it`s direct from VOA Tinang, Philippines relay for Indonesia, so not even on a 21-degree antenna thisaway (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2157 monitoring: Still confirmed Friday September 23 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz. Noale SDR has timed out so I try the two in Parma, Italy: 2059 cuts off some other program for ID and WOR, S9+10/20 but noisy, no QRM, and still not on 918 or 207 either; adjacents 1314 in Spanish, i.e. RNE R5 with three synchros totalling 40 kW; and 1332 in Romanian, i.e. 50 kW RRA in Galati. Other Parma gets better S/N, but also audiblizes some musiQRM under. Also confirmed UT Saturday September 24 at 0400 on WBCQ Radio Angela, 5129.973, S9/+10 into Maryland SDR; by wrapup 0428 peaking a little higher, S9+13. Also confirmed Saturday September 24 from 1942 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, Gateway 160 Newsletter, Wentzville MO, VG steady groundwave S9+17 into nearby Warrenton SDR, and no storm noise. Also from 1930 on WRN N America webcast; missed checking first reliable airing at 1600. Next: 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 to SW 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323 & 918? & 207?-Italy 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW 0300vUT Monday WBCQ Area 51 6160v to WSW 0030 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW 2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed by Cuba] 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html A noncommercial service for which financial support is appreciated to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, by money order or check on a US bank. Or via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 3265.171, Sept 24 at 0003, this WBCQ confirmed active but way off-frequency, S7/S9 into Maryland SDR, as `AAAWWW` has started on UT Saturday. Rest of it I monitor on 7490 webcast; strangely, never heard a single dig at Democrats being Commies, nor anything political, maybe because TimTron is guest in studio. Allan is in Monticello master control, Angela remote on the phone, so no fiddling with her microphone as normally starting. Temp is 46 in Maine, expecting high winds from edge of H. Fiona. Lots of talk about electric vehicles: TT got a ride in one on the way in, and is impressed. 0020 thanking staff and listeners. 0046 current date Sept 23, YOOLF 2022 and quadri-casting. 0055 a few advance Free Radio Weekly items from lw - see OKLAHOMA. Prayer and closing as usual run slightly over into Hal Turner time, 0101 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 12160, Sat Sept 24 at 1700-1730, `Talking [sic] Machine Show` from WWCR pounding in as usual here tho not targeted thisaway; unusually plays some instrumental classical music from cylinders circa 1910y (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 750, Sept 24 at 0639 UT, WSB is off for tower-light maintenance the third and last? night in a row. On DX398 with internal antenna only and altazimuth wrist mount, not much from Cuba this time, but NW/SE in English, see CANADA: and NE/SW Mexmx and Spanish, certainly not Cuba, and unlikely any of the minor Mexicans. Fortunately US counts upon a border station trying to sound Mexican, which now YL IDs as ``en Kama750.com``, that is KAMA EL Paso TX, U4 10/1 kW. Website is really kama750am.com. Seems to take turns fading up and down with Melfort, but anyway mutually nullable. Appropriately I am DXing this while lying in my cama. Believe have heard before with or without WSB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 7890, 7932 & 8620, still no signals from RV, Sept 24 at 0643 check (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 1449.94 approx., Sept 24 at 0120 UT, het to the 1450 graveyard pileup. What`s this? MWoffsets has lots of precision measurements but none lower than minus 15 Hz in the US (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 4905, Sept 24 at 0705, S9+10 signal sounds somewhat musical in a loop, maybe ute? Possibly R Relógio, Brasil, never heard elsewhen and it`s too early for Tibet (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. RF 8, 10, 12, 28, 35, Sept 24 at 1540 UT, BAD DTV signals into my SSE antenna, probably Wichita area as APRS map shows tropo enhancement north of here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 2044 UT September 24

** ALGERIA [non]. 7295 & 9535, Sept 23 at 0512, no signals into Maryland from TDA via ISSoudun, France, as had been scheduled this hour. At 0633 only a JBA carrier on 9620, suspect gone from here too, so something else? Aoki shows no other, but EiBi has CNR2, Beijing site. So it seems the multi-year relays are finished now that TDA finally has some SW transmitters of its own on air, however unreliably and unscheduledly. New SW transmitters at the Béchar and Ouargla LW sites already discussed in DXLD 11-08 of 24 Feb *2011*: http://www.w4uvh.net/dxld1108.txt following DXLD 11-06 of 10 Feb 2011: http://www.w4uvh.net/dxld1106.txt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 12060, Sept 23 at 0635, pulse jamming is audible on 2 x 6030, where it`s an S9 wall-of-noise against nothing, except poor inaudible CFVP which doesn`t have the sense to GET OFF such a Cuban radio war frequency. Something`s always crazy at the DentroCuban Jamming Command (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6140, Sept 23 at 0642, RHC JBA carrier, leapfrog mixing product of the only two English frequencies on air now, 6060 & 6100, both undermodulated with hum and slightly more distortion on the upper. 6165, 6000 and 5040 are all off. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 11760, Sept 23 at 1449, RHC is S7/S9 of dead air in Spanish; very weak S4/S6, 15140 also seems unmodulated. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ITALY [and non]. My usual Friday check Sept 23 for WOR on IRRS 7290 via Bulgaria and 1323 via Italy, confirms that like last week, WOR has been canceled from its former 1815 UT airing: see USA. So here is what I did hear: 1323 kHz, AM Italia, Villa Estense, and not on 918 or 207 kHz, into nearby Noale SDR at 1750 tune-in with classical music, piano concerto, but soon Hungarian announcement, so that`s the minority service from Romania. CC QRM from this will only get worse into fall and winter nights; othermusic under must be AM Italia. 1755 an American PSA about autism. 1800 no Feature Story News either, but into a woman gospel huxter like last week, and now the CCI from Romania has changed to minority German with a strange accent. 1815 I check 7290 via UTwente, which is S7/S9 in // but clear of QRM as the g.h. continues her mostly monolog; besides Christian themes she and an occasional male voice sidekick, ``Dr Luther``, are concerned against ``One-World Government``. He calls her ``Rexella`` --- now we know who and what this is, as there can`t be more than one g.h. by that name, Rexella Van Impe, who would now be almost 90, widow of Jack van Impe [pronouned Im-pee, it seems] who died on Jan. 18, 2020. Another topic: gender is not ``fluid``, despite her name! Gives a box number in Troy MI, for Jack Van Impe Ministries, hymn. I look her up on a YT video allegedly from May 2021, when she still had a full head of blonde hair! At 1832 into `Feature Story News` from Washington. 1835 a promo for some other g.h. on European Gospel Radio = IRRS. 1836 JIP the conclusion of `Counterspin`, ID for WUSB 90.1 & 107.3, Stoney Brook NY, 6 pm Tuesday timecheck and `Off the Wall` hacker show starting with some music... If WOR is gone for good from here, won`t need to monitor this any more (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NIGERIA [and non]. 7255-, Sept 23 at 0639, VON is on at S9/+10 but just barely modulated, JBM. At 1639-1700+, no signal yet into stormnoisy Canary SDR for scheduled 1630- English. But there it is by *1705, -66v Hz offset = 7254.933, really unreadable presumed English with squeal, S7 vs S8 storm crashes. It seems there is lightning every night in NW Africa, now concentrated in western Algeria. Dumps off air at 1711 for almost a minute. Off again by 1724, leaving a JBA, almost-on-frequency signal, presumably imperialist-ChiCom-occupied TIBET, as listed. *1731 VON back on, signal improving somewhat as evening progresses. Canary sunset not until 19 UT, Abuja was 1726. Off again at 1741*, back on at *1750, when I`m called to lunch. And so it goes (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SAUDI ARABIA. 11745, Sept 23 at 1450, Arabic S7/S9, one of better signals on band, except 11760 Cuban failure. Must be Al-Azm Radio, the `AFRTS` for invaders in Yemen. EiBi and Aoki show extensive hours via Jeddah site. WRTH 2022 has it only on page 522 among COTB = Clandestine and Other Target Broadcasts, not sure about site. Wonder if now via longpath, aimed at what azimuth? Jeddah toward Yemen would be roughly SE, favorable for long-path, vs NW direct (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SOLOMON ISLANDS. 5020, Sept 23 after 0500 past 0600, no signal yet from SIBC into several Australia/NZ/Hawai`i SDRs, nor on MW 1035, on this their anniversary. Also checked direct at 0645 and two random times before 1100, but as usual here only a JBA carrier, with heavy splash from 5025 Cuba still on. Just in case, also checked remotes for 9545 before 0500, but evidently still inactive there. A special eQSL was offered for this date only. I hope someone will post it so we can see it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2157 monitoring: Well, not at 0130 UT Friday September 23 on WRMI 5850 & 7730, replaced on the air and on the skedgrid by `Viva Miami`, which is still repeating a 2-month-old edition in Spanish publicizing the Mexican DX meeting coming up at the end of July in Guadalajara; presumably necessary fill in order to accommodate `RFPI` which is again on the sked at 0145. The same thing happened without notice on March 18, but then Jeff agreed to put us back on what had been our first airing minutes after completion, as of March 25. I`m asking for that again. Hard to believe that `RFPI` would want to buy that quarter-hour in some Slavic? language, about the worst time of day for European listening. WOR 2157 confirmed still at 0330 UT Friday September 23 on WRMI 7780 toward the SW. Hard to find much of a signal on a remote like Durango or Brownsville, but S8/9+5 into Maryland. By 0336 fading down to S7, and 0337 also with some noise burst QRM. Also confirmed Friday September 23 at 1430 on WRMI 9955, S7/S9 direct but undermodulated, no jamming audible. Last week Sept 16 at 1815, WOR was expected to be pre-empted for `Station of the Cars` on third Friday, and indeed did not appear but something else instead. The same thing this week, Friday Sept 23, so I must conclude WOR is gone from IRRS 7290, even tho it`s still on their Friday online program schedule. Hope the other two times on MW 1323 only will at least continue. See ITALY [and non] for what I did hear this week. Next: 2030 UT Friday IRRS 1323 & 918? & 207?-Italy 0400 UT Saturday WBCQ Radio Angela 5130v to WSW 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 to SW 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323 & 918? 5800, Sept 23 at 0640, this WRMI is off again. One never knows whether it will be BrotherScaring, dead air, or dead signal (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1934 UT September 23

** CUBA [and non]. WSB Atlanta 750 was reported off the air for maintenance, and someone in Tennessee thought he was hearing Venezuela. After 0455 UT Sept 22 via Athens GA SDR, I`m getting a station talking about Cuba. I bet it is Cuba, R. Progreso, Palmira, CI, the only one listed in WRTH. IIRC 750 used to be a Venez fq, but not any more, none listed. 0500 ``R Progreso, Cadena Nacional, la Onda de la Alegria``, etc. And WSB may be off again UT Sept 23, per Les Rayburn of CPC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 5040, 6000, 6060, 6100, 6165, Sept 22 at 0652 all RHC English frequencies are off already; only 5025 Rebelde is still on. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, following Gary Pence`s suggestion, as of 0450 UT Sept 22, I have been on the NH6XO KiwiSDR, Kanoehe, Hawaii since 0430 but no sign of a R. Kiribati carrier yet on 846. Wonder if they are off again tonight. Was away for a while but at 0540 it`s surely on with songs, S8. So I missed when it came on or faded in. First time I have tried for it remotedly. NH6XO has a 200-foot N/S beverage. It`s on the ``windward`` NE coast of Oahu, so has to shoot thru Honolulu slightly offbeam. Fortunately this is far enough from 830 KHVH, and 850 KHLO not a problem yet, either. By 0622 still in with more ACI. LSS at both ends circa 0430. At 0633 I hear the 846 JBA carrier direct as usual (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2157) ** NIGERIA. 7255-, Sept 22 at 0646, no signal from VON. But Gary Pence reports later: ``Hi Glenn, about 0730z Nigeria (presumably) was on, S7 with considerable static crashes from North Utah SDR east antenna but the audio was so lowly modulated I couldn't tell what language, signal was running about the same in the Canary Islands but with less atmospheric noise. Freq was 7254 between .93 and .94 - 73, Gary`` 7255-, Sept 22 at 1725, no off-frequency VON signal into Canary SDR, but lots of storm crashes as usual. Closest storms now over Western Sahara and northern Mauritania (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2157) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2156 monitoring: confirmed UT Thursday September 22 at 0130 on WRMI 5010, S7/S9 into Bonaire SDR. Or via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330+, Sept 22 at 1442, WBCQ/WLCR in English is on for a change at this hour, having been mostly missing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2157) ** U S A. 9980, Sept 22 at 1441, no signal from WWCR-4 TOMBS blaster scheduled 12-24 UT, tsk2; unchecked night frequencies 7520, 5890 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Re 920, no signal from KLMR Lamar CO: ``KLMR 920 and KLMR 93.5 Lamar, CO have voluntarily surrendered both licenses for cancellation due to extensive storm damage from a recent storm. The cancellation request was filed September 21st - Regards, Paul Walker, AK, IRCA`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 7932, 7890, 8620, Sept 22 at 0650, no signals on previous RV harmonic frequencies (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Glenn Hauser logs September 21-22, 2022 |
|
Thursday, September 22 2022
** ALGERIA [non]. 11985 & 12060, Sept 21 at 1907, still no signals from scheduled TDA relays via FRANCE, checking SDRs in Africa and Maryland (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** EGYPT. 9439.995, Sept 21 at 2204, R. Cairo is on today, S9+25 into UTwente, but extremely distorted modulation, useless. This protracted incompetence at National Media Authority is really remarkable. Something`s always egregious in Egypt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 1600, Sept 21 at 2120 UT, looking for some tolerable AM band music to nap by, I try KUSH in Cushing, but there`s a talk show instead! Seems to be MOR, not Biden-bashing like everything else in OK. 2129 still ID as ``Oklahoma`s Americana Station`` and 2130 back to Bloomberg Radio, ``Sound Off`` show, giving its frequencies in some major markets, 99.1, 1130, 106.1, 960, and Sirius XM 119, but no mention of 1600 or KUSH! NRC DX News of August 30 reported: ``KUSH OK Cushing — Format to C&W (ex-C&W/OLD) (StIntel)`` -- The `OLD` was ``Americana``, a rather rare format which made KUSH worth some listening. New NRC AM Log showed slogan ``Oklahoma`s Americana Station``. U1 5000/70 watts, psra 500. Radio-locator says ``Oklahoma`s Only Americana Station``, day coverage map finds OKC, Tulsa and Enid all between its ``distant`` and ``fringe`` contours, but I doubt it have much of an audience in our three metros. https://www.1600kush.com/ --- take your pick of slogans and formats, including Bloomberg Radio. Like far too many radio stations, there seems to be no plain old program schedule showing what`s on air, when, hour by hour (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830.002+, Sept 21 at 2202, VOT English at S9+45 but just barely modulated: I have to run UTwente volume at max, a risk if tuning to anything else, and also local volume at max, just to hear it at ``normal`` level. 2215 `Review of the Tuerkiyeish Press`; 2344 `Feeling Supreme` repeat about natural remedies for diabetic/insulin problems. Does not go off circa 2255, but IS, 2300 TS and opening extra German airing while the sleepyops doze. News, 2314 song; 2334 multi-lingual ID reel, still going past 2344 song. By now mod level better, can back off a bit, but still under-. 2347 `DYKT` theme and German version, something about a tower. Double bonus! Stays on after German too with IS and 2356 Luso-Portuguese IDs, UT Sept 22 *0000 sign-on for another broadcast not supposed to be on SW at all. I quickly notify the radioescutas io group that brasileiros are in luck tonight! Sign-on only heard giving satellite parameters. Too busy to listen closely but usual mix of talk features and Turkish music, still 0043; 0053 IS and finally cut off the air as if this were an intentional emission. Bet it won`t be on tomorrow, but sporadically (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2156 monitoring: Correxion: this was Tuesday September 20, not Wed 21 as originally misstated: Confirmed Tuesday Sept 20 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, S9/+15 into Maryland SDR, with occasional storm crashes. Also confirmed Wednesday September 21 at 2100:20 on WBCQ 7490 minus 70 Hz = 7489.930, S9+10 into Maryland SDR. Also confirmed UT Thursday September 22 at 0030 on WRMI 9395, S9+30 into Virginia SDR. Next: 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html A noncommercial service for which financial support is appreciated to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, by money order or check on a US bank. Or via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com NEW WOR 2157 should be ready for download early UT Friday September 23, first SWBCs at 0130 on WRMIs 5850 & 7730 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330.15v, Sept 21 at 2119, WLCR/WBCQ is OFF also at this daypart; still scheduled to be aiming English right at me. Ivo Ivanov thinx it`s only a 50 kW transmitter, not 500, but how does he know? The last we heard it was the SuperStition 500, off-frequency because it had to be run by an old substitute driver (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0108 UT September 22
