about simulsigs from Europe aimed anywhere on 19m?

13830, Jan 19 at 1546, //15565 in Amharic, almost as strong, S9+15/25
direct and the only significant extracontinental signal on this band.
But 13830 switches to Madagascar relay at 1600 for Swahili (Glenn

SDR: 3265, 5130 and 6160 all OFF. 7490 -76 Hz with FKB, S7/S9 and
usual USAGM ACI from 7495. 9330 in WLCR Portuguese is also S7/S9. But
at *0055, 5130 -20 Hz = 5129.980 cuts on with IS & ID, S9/+10. At
0100, 6160 is now on with something else, while 7490- & 5130- join for
WTO theme, and first interjexion, ``couple more days and the world
changes again`` and later one word, ``speed``. Says theme is played
from cassette tape; Angela not yet in the Fla studio. Can`t keep all
the liquor here straight, but Al is not drunk. He does a lot of
reading in the bathroom, has for years. Says simul now on 7 & 5, but a
surprise is coming up next week with third `new` frequency for the
show.

** VATICAN [non]. 15565, Jan 17 at 1530, Vatican Radio signing on in
Amharic, mentioning Facebook etc., S9+5/15 the SSOB exceeding 15770
WRMI, and very little else on almost vacant band. I assumed this would
be via MADAGASCAR, coincidentally aimed thisaway, but HFCC, EiBi and
Aoki all show this and all 15565 VR broadcasts are direct from SMG. Of
course, we have long suspected something strange with their own
antenna, no suppression of back-radiation, or even reversed azimuth!
15565 continues until 1830 with azimuth adjustments depending on
language, 135 degrees to SE for Amharic, i.e. 315 degrees NW backwards

** OKLAHOMA. 1640 kHz, Jan 16 at 1646 UT, KZLS Enid is finally
modulating again after a full week of dead air, first noted Jan 9 at
0755. Back to stupid sportstalk, running 2 seconds behind // sibling
station 1390 KCRC. I guess by leaving the carrier on, it would not
count as being ``off`` per FCC regs? (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WORLD OF

** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 9930, Jan 16 at 1645, WTWW is running 13
seconds behind // 9980 WWCR with TOMBS. Both extremely strong signals,
from almost the same location, what a duplicative waste. But far be it
from me to advise them how to allocate resources more effectively!
