Glenn Hauser logs May 19-20, 2023  View Printable Version
Saturday, May 20 2023

Logs
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, Sat May 20 at 2110, LRA36 is JBA S3/S5
into Argentine SDR, W&M conversation mentioning radioaficionados, then
fades in a bit better vs noise level. Today it was reported first at
*2003 direct to Spain by Manuel Méndez. It broke off but came back.
Nominal schedule is until 2300 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 12200, May 20 at 0619, RHC English, S9+10/20 with squeal on 2
x 6100, which is weaker, only S9/+10. Something`s always wrong at RHC
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ITALY [non]. 7290, Friday May 19 at 1828 I check IRRS SW,
presumably via Bulgaria, S9/+20 into UTwente, during the time WOR used
to air - and I briefly recognize the British voice of Ray Robinson, so
it must be `AWR Wavescan` --- but he`s chopped off at 1830 for
`Feature Story News`, 1833 rock music. TG when WOR was running at 1815
it would not be truncated -- tho another webcast-only, Sat at 2334,
misses the last 5 minutes so FSN can run first and something else at
0000 - altho I have not rechecked this lately (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KURDISTAN [non]. 17460, May 19 at 2020, only signal around here
weak speech in Turkish? S0/S1 direct so probably Recep`s jammer and/or
Dengê Welat (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, May 20 at 0623, VON is S9/+10 but JBM. Standard
remarx about futility, abysmalness (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SLOVAKIA [non]. 15770 // 7730, May 20 at 0638, R. Eslovaquia
Internacional via WRMIs in Spanish instead of English. This was the
transmission repeating the Jan 30 English show forever and ever;
perhaps Jeff noted my report about that. No ID heard, but kept talking
about Slovakia. Nor do I know whether it were a new program, but
probably. In Spanish do they announce current date at opening, like
most of the time in English? The skedgrid dated May 12 has now been
updated to show Eslovaquia at 0630 daily on System H, 15770 & 7730.
When else? 5010 at 0030, and 9955 at 0330 on System H sked; but
frequency grid atop shows 0230 instead on 9955 System B. Also M-F 1230
on B 9955. The sked remains self-contradictory (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Fri May 19 at 2200, SNR in English, VG into NA5B
remote and I can`t help but notice that frequency displays as 17855,
offset minus 108 Hz! I don`t think so. Compared to Virginia remote,
shows only minus 3 Hz. UTwente, 17855.001. Then I check NA5B tuning
WWV as if on: 20000 -121 Hz, 15000 -92 Hz, 10000 -61 Hz - So this SDR
is now miscalibrated and the amount of error is proportional to
frequency. One of the topix previewed at s/on was about a classical
music festival in Andorra, but I missed it mainly monitoring Turkey
this time. Nor did I check the other three REE frequencies remotedly
or directedly (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.007, May 19 cuts on a few sex before *2200, late
timesignal and opening VOT English, S9+50 into UTwente. As usual now
with some overmodulation/distortion, especially the music. 2213 about
May 19 being the Atatürk Youth & Sports holiday. 2214 `Weekly
Analysis` about the elexion, alleging there was 88.92% turnout,
proving T is a funxioning democracy. Recep got slightly less than 50%
requiring a runoff but confident he can make up the difference and
win: then over to a prof for further analysis. 2235 recheck going from
`The Healing Spring` to `Did You Know That` with their respective
theme musix, which are each always the same including announcement at
both opening and closing. DYKT, something about Atatürk having written
the first astronomy book in Turkish -- really? And getting a crater on
the Moon named for him. Then mostly music. By now has drifted down to
11785.003. 2251 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2253 standard s/off.
2354 IS. 2356 restart IS with German IDs -- and yes, extraneous German
starts at 2300 including same themetunes as in English. 2320
multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2324* chopped off air abruptly as the
sleepyrator finally awakens, tough luck, extraneous German listeners.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28224.5 CW, May 20 at 1542, K5GJR/B is the JBA OSOB, no
other beacons nor phones during quick 10m bandscan. Starts with call,
K, and gridsquare. Faded up enough to copy during several iterations.
WI5V roster:
28.2245 K5GJR C CORPUS CHRISTI, TX # 5W, VERTICAL.

Have heard before only during summer Es seasons: 2022: July 3, June 5;
2021: July 22, June 11, June 3 and referring to some more in 2020y:

28224.5-CW, June 3 [2021] at 1805, beacon K5GJR/B EL17, i.e.:
``28.2245 K5GJR C CORPUS CHRISTI, TX # 5W, VERTICAL``
I also logged him several times last June, July & August 2020:
Randy L Bates, Corpus Christi, TX 78415 USA ``I have a 10mtr beacon
that runs 24/7 at 28.224.5, consisting of a Radio Shack HTX100,
putting out 2.5 watts, using a Pico keyer kit I assembled, into a
Antron A-99 vertical antenna at 40'... 73s Randy k5gjr`` CC is 957 km
= 595 statute miles from Enid (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Gary Pence also reported him among others on Oct 30, 2022:
``10 meter beacons copied at KB1VWC rSDR (Remotely) East Falmouth, MA.
FN41rn ---

1627z, K5GJR, 28225.5 khz, Corpus Christi, Texas, Randy uses a
Radio Shack HTX 100 running 2.5 watts into a Vert. at 40 ft.

All of these have an expanded story to tell via QRZ.Com and most
welcome signal reports whereas LW NDB have their stories and my best
resource so far has been Wikipedia.
73,s and have fun. Gary, km5x`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2191 monitoring: confirmed Friday
May 19 at 2030 on IRRS SW ``from northern Italy`` via AM Italia, 1323
kHz only, S9+15 into nearby Noale SDR with lite music CCI from
understation presumably Brighton. See also ITALY [non]

Confirmed UT Saturday May 20 at 0130, S9/+10 into Georgia SDR, but NOT
on reactivated 7730, rather Hal Turner hour continues, as now shown on
frequency skedgrid while System F still shows both 5850 & 7730 for WOR
and everything else during this hour.

Also confirmed UT Saturday May 20 at 0400 on WBCQ Radio Angela, 5130
-25 Hz = 5129.75, S8/9+10 into NH SDR.

Like our website, a noncommercial service for which financial
support is appreciated; thanks this week to Doug Brown, London, Ont.,
for a generous US$ check to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702,
USA, ``Thanks, Glen[n] for all you do for this great hobby of ours``

Or via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. (7490-), UT Sat May 20 from 0000, WBCQ webcast with a new
`AAAWWW`. Angela again remote on the phone with occasional comments.
He first rails against reparations, as those today cannot be
accountable for what their ancestors did. Even as an admitted Jew he
thinx reparations are ridiculous. Quadricasting on 7490, 6160, 5130,
3265 announced at least twice at 0022 & 0039 on 19th of May YOOFL
2023. Good news about AM radio in cars as some bipartisan legislation
is pending. He and Timtron have been doing a lot of work on backup
transmitters; usual anti-screen, pro-knobs rant. Needs more paid
programming or may have to start turning off transmitters during
unpaid. 0050 about to go into Free Radio Weekly when our power cuts
off and on five times in a row; with no storms around here. Causing me
to have to rewrite parts of this report. I never got around to
checking any of the SW frequencies direct. Never heard any
anti-Democratic comments this week tho could have been in final
dekaminute missed when he usually quotes supportive emailers (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 17763-17786, May 19 at 2017, rapid clicking like OTH
radar in the middle of the 16m BC band; fortunately no stations amid,
but right next to 17790 WRMI; roughly 25 kHz bandwidth (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

Glenn Hauser logs May 19, 2023  View Printable Version
Friday, May 19 2023

Logs
** ALGERIA. 9470, May 19 at 0503, algo S7/S9 but just barely
modulated, presumed Ifrikya FM, Béchar site as scheduled 03-06. Other
frequency at this hour should be 13790 Ouargla, unchecked. As with
many other items in this report, I`m making a point to monitor before
& after 05 UT, an earlier hour than habitually after 0600 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA [and non]. 21505, May 19 at 0455, two weak signals S0/S2
beating with a fast SAH, i.e. CNR1 jammer vs RFA Chinese via TINIAN
this hour. What else on 13m tnx to ``night`` propagation as we are
only one month from midnight-sun Solstice?

21530, something is here: a Sound of Hope frequency, therefore CNR1
jamming. Also a JBA carrier on 21560.1 but nothing listed and probably
one of those infernal internally generated Wellbrook birdies, rather
than a typically off-frequency Sound of Hope (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA [and non]. 5910-, May 19 at 0511, in the expanse of one
minute, Alcaraván Radio is totally obliterated thrice by ``running
water`` ute QRM on and off. Never noticed that here before. 6010
Conciencia remains absent (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA. 10125 CW, May 19 at 0505, HK3QQ, Bogotá, the slow but
defective keyboard-letter sequences between VVVs and IDs, which I
would hear any night around 0630 chex. Wonder what the extent of its
schedule be? Strangely, I have not seen any other logs of this very
distinctive and unique programming (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11850, May 19 at 0443, RHC is S4/S8 but just barely
modulated, as is longstanding standard for this frequency. Beyond me
why they don`t just turn it off if can`t fix it. Also with plus/minus
10 kHz spur parasites but I neglected to check for those this time. No
comparison to loud and clear // 11760 in Spanish. // 11670 is also on
at 0445 May 19, weaker S5/S6 but decent modulation.

15230, May 19 at 0450, RHC also on here in Spanish, S3/S9 but
modulation suptorted = suppressed and distorted. Somethings` always
wrong at RHC. The Other Side:

``Fatalities and a dangerous lack of protection: what Cuban workers
cannot blow the whistle on
In recent years, several workers have died due to frequent violations
of occupational safety protocols.
Alfredo Herrera Sánchez, Madrid 17 Mayo 2023 - 21:16 CEST
Illustration. Diario de Cuba

Workers' Memorial day, sponsored by the United Nations (UN), was
celebrated on April 28. This day "explored the theme of safe and
healthy working environments as a fundamental principle and right at
work." This opened a cycle that closed this May Day, also recognized
by the UN as International Workers' Day. As throughout the last six
decades, in every municipality of Cuba there was a parade organized by
the regime, although this time it was held on May 5 due to the fuel
shortage.

In countries with totalitarian leftist systems, such as Cuba, May Day
is used to celebrate the supposed achievements that make the
"emancipated and empowered proletariat" proud. In democratic
countries, such as Spain, the date is used to demand labor rights (the
original purpose of the celebration). Castroism has hijacked the day
to the point that workers on the island cannot demand changes in their
work environment. May Day parades in Cuba are not conceived for that,
but to show support for the regime...``
https://diariodecuba.com/cuba/1684351002_47215.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 12000, UT Thu May 19 at 0446, `Chariots of Fire` theme
introducing `Arts Report` on RHC English, S4/S7 on this second
harmonic, but // 6000 is much stronger, S9+30/40, and nothing on 9700
which is often // English earlier. Something`s always wrong at RHC
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 7355, May 19 at 0507, weak pulse jamming vs some
talker. It`s NHK Warudo R. Japan in one of its last two English
broadcasts, via FRANCE to Africa --- so foolish to pick a frequency
which has *ever* been used by R. Martí! Not this season, but much
heavier jamming on 7365 which is RM this season but not at this hour.
Okiro! frequency managers! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** JAPAN [non]. See CUBA [and non] 7355

** KURDISTAN [non]. 17460, May 19 at 0454, Turkish? music at S0/S3,
presumably jammer against Dengê Welat but the only other signal nearby
is JBA talk on 17450, i.e. D.W. itself via Uzbekistan?; in another
failure to coöperate on same frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 7400, May 19 at 0508, no signal from R. Vostochnaya
Zvezda, pirate. Had been just about every night, until this from
Lucas Bandura on the WOR iog May 15: ``Operator just posted this
message in the HF Underground discord chat: “no radio pushka {previous
name for same op, meaning rifle} for a while now. chinese
radio/exciter failed. its garbage anyways, lousy amplifier circuit and
very poor audio quality if using the built in modulator”`` and Arthur
Pozner replied:

``It was obvious he was not using anything reliable from the very
beginning. First started broadcasting in USB mode and later switched
to very poor AM and invariably the result was always very atrocious
audio; maybe he will find something that is made in the US or
Japan!``

The other 40m pirate, Station YHWH, not on 7475 this late but was
reported earlier, usually off by 0430v (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA. 11740, May 19 at 0444, S8/S9 of rock music. It`s RRI
Romanian this hour, 300 kW at 285 degrees from Galbeni for CIRAF 27SE,
i.e. France, but also toward N America (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U K. 5870-5875-5880, May 19 at 0510, DRM noise. This hour only it`s
BBCWS in English via Woofferton, 78 degrees for France & Germany,
where there are bound to be a lot more non-DRM radios; like everywhere
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. 9725, May 19 at 0504, S5/S8 in African language. It`s
VOA via VATICAN in Hausa this semihour only, violating Separation Of
Church And State. 9725 is underutilized, only other being CRI Russian
at 10-12. Long-gone is Brazil`s 9725v, R. Clube Paranaense, Curitiba
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2191 monitoring: confirmed first
SWBC, Friday May 19 at 1430 on WRMI 9955, poor S7/S9 here direct as
usual in this daypart but no jamming audible. Next:

** U S A. 9265VV, May 19 at 0459, WINB ID, muffled modulation and
carrier horribly shaky, worse than usual, rapid clunking, and into
TOMBS, which is incomparably better on 9395 WRMI. Sounds like WINB is
about to collapse but has been on the precipice for years. Can`t help
but wonder how this affect all their hybrid DRM broadcasts later, if
it`s the same transmitter: but I guess it`s not, as WRTH 2023 says
there are 1 x 50 kW and 1 x 15 kW -- yet DRM and AM are never on air
at same time. Strength of DRMs seems like more than 15 kW. In fact,
WINB DRMs in HFCC are registered as 50 kW (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9395, May 19 at 0500, TOMBS via WRMI as someone is trying to
sing ``time is windin` up`` --- sure, as perpetually it`s almost the
Last Day! // 9265 WINB horribly shaky, q.v. But 9455 WRMI is OFF the
air now. Something`s odd at Okeechobee (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ALGERIA. Correxion: original post typoed 12590 instead of 13590: I
have extracted complete schedule from HFCC as of May 12:

Béchar site, 300 kW at 131 degrees from the NW near Morocco:
03-06 9470 & 9500 [alternates; 9470 reported]
06-09 15110

11-18 21550
18-21 17600

** INTERNATIONAL INTERNET. Here`s another neat little program not only
on but produced at KUCO 90.1 and streaming. Many of the episodes are
in ``the rest of the story`` style with a big reveal at the end,
finding out who he has been talking about. I see that it is syndicated
by PRX to some other stations but I have not found an affiliate list.
They may be conveniently auditioned in groups of 5 at a time = less
than 14 minutes per week.

A Day to Remember with Kent Anderson
Weekdays: 8am & 5pm {CDT = 13 & 22 UT}

A Day To Remember is a daily journey into the treasures of history,
great and small.

Researched, written, and hosted by longtime KUCO broadcaster and
award-winning novelist Kent Anderson, A Day to Remember covers a wide
range of topics, ranging from ancient history to the 21st century:
battles and elections, inventions and adventures, art and culture,
science and spirit.

“It isn’t just a typical ‘this day in history’ module, and it isn’t a
lesson or a lecture,” says Anderson. “I’m telling stories. Some of
them will be familiar, famous events, and others will feature stories
from the past that we may not have heard so often.”

** OKLAHOMA. RF 17, May 18 at 1520 UT, BAD undecodable signal from
Enid`s only local TV transmitter, K17JN-D with 3ABN network.
Presumably caused by DX QRM as there is mild tropo around here per
APRS map. Bandscan finds only two other BAD signals, on `open`
channels, RF 31 & 34. Soon K17JN recovers (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** TURKEY. Correxion to VOT English schedule previously posted with
two typos: Elexion returns: It might be more interesting than usual to
monitor VOT today and tonight. If they can make it onto air, don`t
expect any Breaking News rather than olds, but FWIW, English hours:

support is appreciated; thanks this week to Doug Brown, London, Ont.,

** U S A. 5130 -17 Hz = 5129.983, UT Thu May 18 from 0300 WBCQ R.
Angela transmitter at typical offset, `María Bonita` show of Mexican
music variety presented in Spanish, S9+10/20 including high storm
noise level from TX panhandle direct, unlistenable, but not very noisy
S9/+10 into NH SDR where measured; by 0354 drifted to 5129.981,
closing with a march, Zacatecas?

This is monthly on the UT Thursday following the third Wednesdays:
May 17 (May 18 world date):
Radio Maria Bonita (language: Spanish/Español)
Host: Luis Alejandro Vallebueno (Mexico)
Format: Luis, an historian associated with Mexico’s shortwave station,
Radio Educación, presents a different aspect of music from Mexico each
month.
Email: radiomariabonita@gmail.com

24 hours after I was hearing Radio Caroline via 5130 WBCQ, between 06
and 07 UT May 18 it`s off the air again (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF
RADIO 2191)

** U S A. ``Yesterday, I was able to adjust the frequency plungers so
that I can now change frequency on #2 transmitter by remote control
from my house or the car. day 9.475; night 5.085 -- George McClintock
5-18-2023`` But has either been on air lately? (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11670-11675-11680, May 18 at 0617, DRM noise S9,
unlisted in HFCC, EiBi, Aoki, not even in
https://www.drmrx.org/drm-broadcasts-shortwave-by-frequency/
Same sound of noise on 11615-11620-11625 which is known to be Romania
in German during this semihour, slightly weaker S7. Per EiBi the only
other DRM stations at this time, in case they have QSYed from other
frequencies, are WINB, CRI and CNR1 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Glenn Hauser logs May 16-17-18, 2023  View Printable Version

Logs
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, May 17 at 1936, Manuel Méndez in Spain
reports LRA36 already on the air this Wednesday. For a while it had
seemed they were on Saturdays only and there was no advance notice of
this. So I tune in at 2026. It`s JBA on the Mendoza, Argentina SDR,
but good S6/S7 into Buenos Aires, during a song; 2040 talk, ID as on
SW and streaming via Tierra del Fuego at HQ website. 2046 music, 2051
canned ID and talk about the silencio at Marambio base, with a brief
bit of noise at 2101 like wind in the mike. 2103 noticias australes by
YL, but by 2103 fade-out or off the air (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA [and non]. 5990, May 17 at 0003, no signal into Georgia SDR;
had been CRI Spanish relay via CUBA, which may have been canceled, but
did not get around to rechecking later in hour.

24 hours later, May 18 at 0003, 5990 is on air with music but can`t be
sure it`s CRI. Yes, I can: // 9560 & 9800 into UTwente not synched.

9710 & 9590 are sked 0100-0300. Both confirmed into UTwente but 9710
stronger, at 0158 concluding in Spanish about the Chinese language,
0200 usual ToH theme music, no news. That completes my chex of all
previously scheduled CRI Spanish broadcasts on SW, which still exist
but without any current event coverage (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 12200, May 17 at 0642, RHC English again, S9 with some squeal
// fundamental 6100 weaker S7/S9. Nothing audible on 6100 X 3 = 18300,
which might be possible under optimum conditions, if not X 4 = 24400.
No other fundamentals still on. 6100 and therefore 12200 are off
already at next check 0651, before this hour can complete, frustrating
listeners? Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SLOVAKIA [non]. Further chex of RSI relays via WRMI, UT May 17: at
0047, 5850 // 7730 // 15770, subject adoption, so we know it is the
new Tue May 16 edition on System F as heard earlier.

0130 is the next scheduled RSI relay on 5800, but instead we hear NHK
World in English after a couple of false starts. This had been on
System K with the Jan 30 RSI program as heard at 0630 May 16.

NHK does not appear anywhere on the WRMI skedgrid now partially
updated as of May 12. It does now show 7730 as XMTR 2 at 44 degrees to
ENA, 24 hours, much but not all of it duplicating 15770 at same
azimuth for Europe.

0300 is next scheduled RSI relay supposedly on 7730, 7780 and 15770
--- but monitored on 7780 only, no date copied at outset but not the
Mon Jan 30 show, rather Tue May 16 one with something about European
summit in Iceland. 7730 & 15770 with SMTV instead. The transmitter
grid atop now shows that, not the program grid abottom.

At 0630 May 17, RSI again on 7730 and much weaker 15770, System H with
same Jan 30 show as 24 hours earlier and no doubt also previous 105
days intervening, mentioning a Jan 27 anniversary of something in WWII
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 11785, May 17 at 2200, VOT is not off the air
today, S7/S9 with timesignal; later compared to WWV as 12.5 seconds
late. Standard remark about inaccurate pipping; on another receiver
I`d already heard 17855 Spain`s more accurate timesig. Further chex
direct, despite constant squeal on the frequency, some distortion, and
too-accented announcers: 2217 `Whipping Piles` something about AI
systems; music break. 2225.5 two-minute multi-lingual ID filler reel.
2227.5 `Weekly Commentary` penned by that Jonathan again. 2251 the
multi-lingual ID filler reel *again* already; s/off, 2254 IS to
2255:58*. Something`s always awry at Ankara, erroneous at Emirler
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** UQKOGBANI [non]. 5130.06, May 17 at 0656, surprised to encounter
UK-orientated commercialstring after a bit of rock music and DJ; then
Radio Caroline ! IDs in passing. 0701 full ID, sounded like ``6-40``
instead of 648 kHz. Then back to DJ and rock, S7/S9.

Got to be a relay via WBCQ but off-frequency+plus implies it is not
the usual R. Angela transmitter which is always slightly
off-frequency-minus. Was there any advance publicity about this, or
was I the sole listener who ran across it in a routine bandscan at a
time WBCQ is normally way off the air? Not a twit about it from AW,
nor anything on the WBCQ website; one-off, or to continue? Full span
unknown as past my bedtime. I asked Bill Tilford of R. Angela if he
knows anything about this?

``I was not informed in advance, but apparently they are testing
another transmitter outside of core hours on 5130 using Radio Caroline
material. At the moment that's all I know.

I can tell you that Radio Angela per se is an endangered species if we
don't get a significant uptick in financial support in terms of more
airtime buys, donations or some combination of the two rather soon.

This was a bold experiment but is not achieving sustainable economic
results. We would hardly be the first quality broadcasting venture to
fold its tent after one season if that happens. Those who consistently
complain about all the political and religious programming on the air
would do well to take note.``

(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2190 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday
May 16 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, S8/9+10 into Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed Wednesday May 17 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490 minus 73 Hz =
7489.927, S9 into Maryland SDR. Seemed to start earlier than
traditional 21 seconds past the hour. Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

Updated WRMI skedgrid shows an additional WOR airing, Sunday 1330 on
9955 System C. Also, the UT Sat 0130 not only on 5850 but also on 7730
now reactivated System F (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5130v, WBCQ: See UQKOGBANI [non]

** U S A. 7505, May 17 at 0653, canned WRNO ID as I tune in but the
gospel huxter audio is not paused or diminished resulting in an unholy
mix. Something`s SNAFU at Fort Worth (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, May 17 at 0704, R. Vanuatu still poor here with BB
talk, no switch to 3945/7890/11835/15780 at 0659. Same thing happened
last night when I was not monitoring but noted by Ron Howard on May 15
and 16, much later QSY (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
