Carterville IL gets something like talking.

Confirmed NEW time, Saturday April 26 at 2237 the 2230 on WRMI 15770,
S3/S5 direct, but listed // 7730 is JBA carrier only. At 2246 into
Maryland SDR, 7730 is NOT WOR, but Supreme Master TV. Skedgrid again
is self-contradictory: transmitter grid atop shows WRMI-2 on 7730 with
SMTV this hour, and WRMI-9 on 15770 with TOMBS! Only the pink System H
program grid below shows WOR Sat at 2230 on both those frequencies.

Also confirmed UT Sunday April 27 at 0424 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, about 13
minutes into so started circa 0411 almost an hour later than nominal
0315v, S8/S9 into N9AZZ remote in Carterville IL as nearby Warrenton
MO is still absent, and Godfrey IL is NG, nothing but noise. Earlier,
Houston AMSAT net nom. 0200 did not start until 0302, following `QSO

** U S A. WTWW situation from George McClintock circa 22 UT Apr 26:
9930 back on air after some corona goop arrived to apply to insulators
which were arcing. Had been absent for two or three days. I check here
at 2206, and find 9930 with TOMBS is S9+40/45, but without the
splatter we had been getting: maybe that was caused by the arcing. The
plus/minus 12.9 kHz spurs are still there but JBA carriers only. He
also says the Harris SW100 transmitter has been sold to someone who
wants to go on SW, somewhere unspecified, but does not have a CP yet.
The live-in operator at the site has now moved in along with his wife.
The gate to the property is soon to be upgraded to automatic. Someone
else is still consulting on getting the other transmitter back on the

7260, 5040, 7890. Ron Howard replies to my previous report: ``Hi
Glenn, April 26 also noticed the absence of Radio Vanuatu. April 27,
via various remotes, when checking at 0415 UT, on 2485, 3945, 5040,
7260 or 9960, found no Vanuatu signal. Have contacted the station!

UNIDENTIFIED. 11935.0, Apr 27 at 1455, JBA carrier direct. Could Yemen
via Saudi be back? Not checked UTwente until 1538, nothing. Nor
anything at this hour in Aoki or EiBi, but HFCC as of Apr 25 has an

Not confirmed UT Sat Apr 26 at 0300 on WTWW 5085, which remains off
the air pending repairs; WTWW-2 stream is running with something
else.

NOT confirmed Sat Apr 26 at 0939 check when I happen to awaken, on
WRMI 9455, despite still shown on WRMI skedgrid. 9455 is OFF the air
at that hour. Initially after hurricane damage, some 9455 programming
was shifted to 7730, but now that frequency is unWOR too, JBA sounds
like TOMBS.

However, looking thru the supposedly updated WRMI skedgrid, I find a
NEW WOR time I was unaware of, Sat 2230 on 15770 & 7730, to be
confirmed!

** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` chex of WBCQs, Apr 25 at 2356 into NH SDR: 3265
off. 5130 S9/+10 already in IS & ID loop. 6160 else. 7490 S9+15/20.
9330 OFF at 2357, briefly presumably for antenna change. W1NT SDR is
still miscalibrated so I don`t try to get exact readings, e.g. it
shows 102 Hz low on WWV 20000, 50 Hz low on 10000 - I see a pattern,
and BTW gets the binary ticking from 9996 RWM.

Anyhow, but 0000 UT Sat Apr 26, 9330 is back on and joined by 7490 &
5130 for WTO and opening of `AAAWWW`. His first overwords are ``OK,
OK, OK, OK -- here we are, folx...`` Trimulcasting as I have observed.
Explains how details of music are not his thing, zones out when people
talk about performers, groups, etc, but does like certain music; not
much jazz, but blues is better. Angela also discusses. By 0009 I hear
``moonbats`` so I know they are into far-right politix, that`s enough.
Later something about Jason wanting to change format on their FM
station. 0020 a song they do like, `Riverboat Fantasy` which includes
some nasty words. 0024 datestamp. 0027 `Star Spangled Banner`
jazzed-up; Jimi? 0047 reading reception reports/email already (Glenn

** U S A. 15150, April 25 at 1442, WMLK is S9, but fails to accompany
itself with panoply of spurs at 4 kHz intervals as I heard before out
to 15130/15166, outdone by Wolfgang Bueschel who heard them from 15122
to 15178. Something`s not botched at Bethel (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU [non]. 9960, Apr 26 at 0647, NO signal from RV, so another
schedule shuffle? Not audible either on 7260 or 3945 at 0650, but at
0652, JBA carrier on 7890, where 3945 used to accomplish a second
harmonic, since suppressed, and probably something else now. 9955 WRMI
is also off at 0647 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 869.62, Apr 25 at 0536 UT, carrier hetting 870, vs high
storm noise level on indoor randomwire. Unlike some other mysteries,
suspect this may be of household or neighborhood origin, never heard
before. But to note whether anybody else detect or I hear it again
under other circumstances - such as not heard in the daytime (Glenn

direct. Checking remotes in Qatar, Kuwait only get sporadic music, but
displayed as Music for Joy, which EiBi shows: ``13730 1800-1900 Tu,Th
D Music 4 Joy DIGITAL EAf n``, i.e. only two hours per week and this
is one of them, via Nauen site; and off at 1900*. KiwiSDR embedded DRM
sked shows on 13730 only CNR1 Global Tests, not at this hour (Glenn

** JAPAN. ``Hi Glenn, Regarding the QTH of JG1IGX (your log 'JAPAN.
28430 USB, Apr 23 at 2207'), I heard him before on FT8 giving the
'PM96' locator as QTH. FT8 only gives 4 chars/digits of precision.
Since such a grid is relatively wide, I usually consider the
approximate center (which is the closest spot from all possible
locations within - theoretically, in terms of probability).

But I should have consulted the web first: his location is precisely
given on qrzcq.com, as PM96ob, which is some 66 km NW of Tokyo, or 10
megameters from Enid OK, in the Saitama Prefecture, see attachment.

so KMMJ Grand Island NE still refusing to stay off during the Atlantan

** U S A. ``Glenn, to clarify what is going on with KGBC 1540:

KGBC in Galveston is the nominal “originating station” for K287BQ
105.3 in Houston, running a Spanish language Tropical format “Power
105.3”. Both signals are leased by the programmers of the “Power”
format.

KTWL 105.3 runs a Texas Country format. There is no actual connection
between them and KGBC or K287BQ or the “Power” format. Those behind
the “Power” format unsuccessfully attempted to buy KTWL a few years
ago, and have claimed it as an originating station, which is not the
case. There is also no connection with KKBQ or any of its subchannels;
the KKBQ HD-3 runs a “Red Dirt Country” format. The “Power” legal ID
is mostly fiction.

This is Houston, well known for various shenanigans among translator
and LPFM operators. Stephen Luce, Houston, Texas`` (via Glenn Hauser,

** YEMEN [non]. 11935v, Apr 24 at 1635-1645, Republic of Yemen Radio
via SAUDI ARABIA missing, no signal into UTwente, following this from
Zacharias Liangas: ``Just 1056 checked 11935 starting from Addis
Ababa  Riyadh and Cyprus kSDR with no signal for the Yemeni station
also and after 11z`` Then I check former frequencies into UTwente:
11915 ex-11820, ex-11860, and not there either or something else now.
Then I make cursory check of every frequency 11700-12000 and still no
ROYR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2292)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9119-9164 approx., Apr 24 at 0622, multi-carrier,
multi-tones beating over this range, S9+18 amid, like 24 hours earlier
9176-9224. What is this? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
