Glenn Hauser logs August 31, 2021 |

Tuesday, August 31 2021
** BRAZIL. 11815.032, Aug 31 at 0615, music at S2-S4, presumed R. Brasil Central typically askew as in Brasil private SWBCs are required to run significantly off-frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 6060, Aug 31 at 0608, humbuzz atop undermodulated English.. Something`s always wrong at shameless RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 7157 & 7215, Aug 31 at 0609, wall-of-noise Cuban jamming which they keep running against nothing on these particular 40m ham frequencies and no others, why? Nor is there any conceivable broadcaster attracting jamming anytime on 7215. Unlike previously, however, there is no jamming against vacant OCB frequencies above 7300; but there is on 9565, where Radio Martí quits at 2400*. Something`s always wrong at the DentroCuban Jamming Command (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KASHMIR [non]. 15170, Tuesday Aug 1 at 1525, Kashmir Civitas in Urdu talk but some English words: ``red light area`` and 1527 again mentions ``red light`` twice. Wonder what that`s about? Also mentioned ``Jammu & Kashmir``. Chopped off at 1529* still talking, no postlude of IRRS songs in English this week. Programmers don`t seem to appreciate necessity for accurate timing. Last Tuesday I missed checking this weekly 1500 broadcast via ROMANIA after having heard it every week since it started. This week reception via UTwente is much worse than usual; instead of loud & clear solid, it`s S7-S8 and ``hollow`` sounding. K-index now only 1, but G1 minor storms predicted (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6880-USB, UT Tue Aug 31 at 0148, only pirate activity is here, S9/+10 with classical music, believe it or not! 0151 ID as Mix Radio International, more classical. I keep listening in astonishment, as most pirates avoid classical like the plague. But MRI after all is ``mixed`` and have broadcast various genres before. Let us say these are ``popular classics``, war horses of tuneful recognizability. At 0258 going from ``Deutschland ueber Alles`` to the VVV opening of Beethoven`s Fifth. At 0205 I switch from own rx to remote in Maryland which is getting it equally well at S9/+10; 0206 another ID but music unseems named. I suspect there be some repetition before it`s all over, but haven`t kept track of individual pieces. No announcements at all heard in final hour to sesquihour, abruptly off at end of final piece at 0340*. Many other reports here starting at 2214 August 30, all classical: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,85786.0.html I am pleased to see positive comments from other listeners, perhaps encouraging more of this from MRI or others. Some comment on the wideband audio, but on the KiwiSDR I find plenty of highs, sorely lacking in bass response if not bass transmission; rather tinny; no equalizer? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 14322.5-USB, Aug 31 at 1907, JBA ``International Bible Study Net`` announcing this frequency, later CQs, apparently trouble rounding up students. Can`t copy the NCS call, never foneticized. I`ll bet only welcomed are those accepting as a given that it`s the Undisputed Holy Word of the Christian God; which version? No real challenging (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2101 monitoring; next: 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA Thanks this week to Dan in Cincinnati, who says, ``Dear Glenn, I am writing to thank you again for all of the great information that you gather and report weekly`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. 15610, Aug 31 at 1903, no signal from WEWN English, scheduled to start at *1900; nor yesterday, I think, nor night frequency 9385. Now neighbor 15825 WWCR at similar megameter distance achieves S8-S9, and 15770 WRMI too. 12050, Aug 31 at 1957, at first hear non-Spanish, must be Ndarason in Kanuri via Woofferton at 19-21, then CCI WEWN Spanish making >1 Hz SAH; WEWN Spanish night frequency 5970 has been reliable. Some weeks ago, WEWN tried 12040 instead, but back to 12050 since KSDA is already on 12040 for one semihour at 2200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. 870, Aug 31 at 0119 UT, WWL New Orleans with storm coverage vs the Cuban whooper. I think WWL is running lowered power, as it`s incomparable e.g. to neighbors on 860 & 880. This makes sense since they must be relying on generator. 10 or even 5 kW should be enough to cover the disaster area; and who cares about skywave? Website is certainly current in more ways than one, hosted somewhere with electrical fluid. I can`t find anything about technical issues, nor even a list of all the FMs allegedly carrying WWL at least on HD2. But they do plug ``WWL HD2`` which you can hear online; who cares about OTA FM? As if it were separately programed, but totally unclear about that. During the emergency, likely a single stream on all possible outlets. Not to be confused with Audacity, sounds like ``odyssey``: https://www.audacy.com/wwl As for the QubaRM, IIRC, WWL was among many major US MW stations that the USG took over for VOA Spanish during the 1962 Missile Crisis; so maybe the Commies have not forgotten certain frequencies worth jamming, just in case! Meanwhile press about the NO/LA radio situation, via Artie Bigley: https://radioinsight.com/headlines/212313/wzrh-kvdu-tower-destroyed-by-hurricane-ida/ I also find these: http://www.insideradio.com/free/new-orleans-radio-went-wall-to-wall-sunday-as-hurricane-ida-made-landfall/article_f0735c20-0969-11ec-8a74-e753e1d99dcf.html http://www.insideradio.com/free/covering-ida-we-re-running-on-adrenalin-says-veteran-new-orleans-broadcaster/article_e10b5548-0a28-11ec-8348-d3785e2b972a.html and Terry L Krueger, Niceville FL panhandle has just reported in GMT: ``870 LOUISIANA WWL New Orleans 0826 8/29/21. Excellent live and local coverage with Hurricane Ida coverage, but sadly, terrible interference from co-channel Radio Reloj, Cuba with exceptionally terrible voltage wobbling noise and -- even more sinful -- WPWT, Colonial Heights, TN (C&W "96-3 The Possum"), a D1 that constantly runs 10,000 watts overnights. Recheck pre-sunrise on 8/30, WWL is much weaker. Still audible daytime though poor in local noise. The only other New Orleans-proper licensed station audible is 1280 kc/s WODT, which on 8/29 was blindly running Black Information Network feed, but on 8/30 at least was airing local coverage under the BIN branding. KLEB Golden Meadow 1600 kc/s (in the bullseye of Hurricane Irma) was noted pre-sunrise 8/29 but with the usual Blues/Cajun music. So far, I haven't traced their signal since but inconclusive`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2128 UT August 31

Tuesday, August 31 2021
** CANADA. 15034-USB, Aug 30 at 1447, no signal from CHR Trenton Military VOLMET; nor on numerous other random daytime chex, tho still active on 6754-USB night channel. Propagation has been pitiful, but now I *am* getting 14670-RCUSB, CHU (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 13700, Aug 30 at 1445, S6/S9 dead air from RHC; meanwhile, modulating to various degrees on 15230, 15140, 11760, 9710, 9535, and by 1450 also resumed on 13700. Meanwhile, no spurblobs out of that now, nor for quite a while, last caught on July 8 at +/- 62 kHz, etc.; surely they will eventually erupt again. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CZECHIA [non]. 15770, Sunday August 29 at 2135, very nice classical music on harp -- could this WRMI be an Encore encore? S9+20 better than usual here off the side. No, it`s R. Prague in French. Seems both the English and French services play classical on Sundays, this one concluding with giveaway `Moldau` at 2157 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ITALY [non]. 7290, Mon Aug 30 at 1745, I`m checking whether IRRS still be on air from 1800, as it was missing on Sat Aug 28 when WOR should have aired. Via UTwente, at first I hear Russian, which is Iran scheduled until 1750. Also the constant RTTY warble on plus side only. 1748 another carrier on? Iran soon disappears but no formal closing heard; uncovers even weaker CNR China. *1755 stronger OC with hum, S9+25 in Synch mode, presumed BULGARIA; a few seconds before 1800, no Aïda theme at all but quick IRRS sign-on with phone number, falsely claiming to be in reduced-carrier USB; and right into a gospel huxter (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 11940, Aug 30 at 2157, this REE frequency for S America is still AWOL. The other three continue past 2200 joining for English, VG 17855, 15520, 11670 in decreasing order via Maryland SDR. Justin Coe does news first about Spain`s de-involvement in Afghanistan; to be followed by folk musician Eliseo Parra. The music finally starts at 2215 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830, Aug 30 at 2200, VOT English is not off the air today! VG into Maryland SDR. But I`m listening to Spain until its English be over at 2230; more than second half of VOT hours are mostly good Turkish music fill, with interruptions such as the 2-minute multilingual ID reel --- which could be a learning experience if they would label each one in English. It`s hard for us to differentiate the various Turkic languages. 2346 already signing off English with convoluted English schedule, then IS keeps on and on until 2256 starts interspersing German IDs. 2259 quick break in transmission probably when the sleepyrator thinx they are turning it off, but right back on, 2300 timesignal and opening spurious German hour, not with news but historical talk about Atatürk, who was too secular for Erdogan; and other features, still on past 2320 with web address, much more music; 2325 another talk, briefly about Olympix, 2327 ID like in English ``VOT with you everywhere``, song starts until finally abrupt chopoff at 2329*! Something`s always erroneous at Emirler; extra German probably had more listener in Oklahoma than at 1-1:30 am in Zentral Europa (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 13565-CW, Aug 30 at 1444, K6FRC ID over and over from 1.8 milliwatt HIFER beacon in Patterson CA. Check for it almost every day in bandscan, only heard around this time, and last logged July 30 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2101 monitoring: confirmed Sunday August 29 at 2000 on IRRS Shortwave via AM Italia, 918 kHz, VG S9+33 into nearby Noale SDR. So this is still funxioning if SW 7290 is not, Saturdays at 1800. See also ITALY [non]. Missed checking Sunday Aug 29 at 2230 on WRMIs 9955 and new 7780: did anyone hear them?! Also confirmed UT Monday Aug 30 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG S9+20/30. Also confirmed UT Mon Aug 30 at 0130 on WRN webcast to North America. Confirmed replaced by something else Mon Aug 30 at 0230 on WRMIs 7780 & 5800. NOT confirmed on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160-, UT Mon Aug 30 at 0300, as that WBCQ is OFF the air. I believe I had noticed it on air an hour or two before. 4790 is also off now but the other BCQs remain on: 3265, 7490 and 9330. No lightning around Monticello now. WOR is running on Area 51 webcast, checked 0317 at midpoint. And by 0351, 6160 is back on with HRI, and 4790 with BS. At 0412, 6160 is still playing A51 music as on webcast. Would have been nice if WOR could have run then instead. Last week`s WOR on 6160 was also curtailed. Next: 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA Thanks this week to Dan in Cincinnati, who says, ``Dear Glenn, I am writing to thank you again for all of the great information that you gather and report weekly`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. As Hurricane Ida hits New Orleans and knocks out all power, about time to check whether 7505 WRNO can be on the air from *0100; it`s anyway erratic without storms. 0120 next check: WRNO is absent, surprise2 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. 870, Aug 30 0042-0050+ UT, no signal from WWL New Orleans. CNN has also just reported that the entire city is without power - but you`d think this vital station would have backup generators, contingency plans. A rare chance to DX something else on 870? But 0122 next check: WWL is back on with callers, serenaded by the Cuban whooper. Later ToH legal ID includes a bunch of HD2s on FM stations; wish I could copy all. So AM 870 is RRRR = really rather redundant radio? Still WWL 870 is the place for NOLA news in the aftermath if you can get it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1040, another anomaly at 0040-0044+ UT Aug 30, strongest signal on 1040 is dead air, looping from the direxion of WHO Des Moines. 0122 next check: 1040 WHO is remodulating with talk show (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, August 30 at 0531, early enough that not everything has faded out yet: 621, 711, 747(2), 774-, 846=Kiritimati?, 882, 1107, 1125, 1503(2). 1503 is especially intriguing: WRTH shows two low-power RNE5 Spain of 2 and 5 kW; beyond that, 25 kW inactive Egyptian on the dayside; not to mention 1 kWs Bosnia and UK. Maybe not too early for 2.5/5 kW NZers? (2) means at least two carriers beating. Notable for its absence now and for some months is a carrier on 936 kHz, which would hold up later than most of Europe and was assumed to be the 200 kW in Agadir, Morocco. I last logged it Jan 24 & 27, and Carlos Gonçalves, Portugal reported on May 31, ``711 and 936 outlets off the air``. In MW Circle, Aug 30, John Hoad in Canary Islands, says, ``more recently Morocco 936 kHz has gone. 73 John, Playa Blanca Lanzarote``. Jorge Garzón Gutiérrez "IberiaDX", 39698 Santiurde de Toranzo (ESPAÑA - SPAIN), replies, ``Hi John, I have 936 al-Amazighia (MRC) last record on May 2021. Did you listen to later than this? Maybe is not active since then? ¡Gracias!``. Furthermore, I am not hearing once-reliable Algerians on 531, 891 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 6910-USB, Aug 29 at 2330, JBA contact sounds like MARS or some mily/govt net, NCS503 calling NN6GT, not sure of second call`s prefix; partially foneticized. Preceded and followed by much louder beepery, perhaps SSTV (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2346 UT August 30

** SCOTLAND [non]. 5950, Sat Aug 28 at 2200, `Encore` classical music via WRMI is mistakenly playing the 21/8 episode per the Playlist; but next airing UT Sun Aug 29 at 0100 on 5850 & 7780 is correct 28/8 edition; unfortunately simul with another TRSW Euro relay, non-classical, on 5950 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2101 monitoring: confirmed UT Sun Aug 29 at 0030 on WRMI 5950, S9+15/25 via Knoxville SDR: last time for this airing, to be replaced by something else next week. Also confirmed UT Sun Aug 29 at 0347 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, about 14 minutes into so started circa 0333, good but with storm noise despite none nearby to neighbor SDR. Next: 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW [NEW] 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE, 5800 to SSE [canceled] 0300vUT Sunday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA Thanks this week to Dan in Cincinnati, who says, ``Dear Glenn, I am writing to thank you again for all of the great information that you gather and report weekly`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 14325-USB, Aug 28 at 2302, Hurricane Watch Net, no contacts heard, but K2JB is reading some warnings; says will also be active on 7268[LSB] tomorrow at 8 am CDT = 13 UT; but at 0018 UT Aug 29, the latter is certainly active too with Ida advisories, as heard via Knoxville SDR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 12788, 8502, 4316, Aug 28 at 2145, attempts to monitor USCG New Orleans, NMG as scheduled per EiBi at 2130-2145: nothing. 4318 approx., Aug 29 at 0630, fax at S9+10/20, NMG scheduled 0600-0855. 12788-USB, Aug 29 at 1749, S3-S5 into Knoxville SDR, with fadeouts, marine weather about tropical storms in Atlantic, waves starting off W Africa. Obs mostly longitude 50 or less, nothing to do with Hurricane Ida. NMG N.O. sked at 1715-1750. 1752 robotic voice with Norfolk address, originating there? 1753 finally mentions Ida landfall briefly, on to Juliet; ``This is US Coast Guard Communications Command, out out`` and off 1755.5* = 5.5 minutes later than sked. No individual station ID. Recheck at 1823, fax beepery approx. 12790 as sked 1800-2105 for NMG. Nothing ever audible on 8502 or 4316 and suspect not really on air in daytime (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. 870, Aug 29 at 0638 UT, WWL New Orleans apparently live with calls about Hurricane Ida; Cuban whoop-whoop QRM comes and goes, usually JBA underneath but some surges. Of course, WWL is easily the dominant signal here, scarcely one megameter away. It will be interesting to hear whether it be knocked off the air, not to mention WRNO 7505, which is anyway erratic; check at 0100-0400. Many listeners afar have complained about whooping: apparently a very much-out-of-order Cuban transmitter rather than deliberate jamming, and similars have shown up on other frequencies. WRTH 2021 has three R Relojes on 870, 10 kW each at Bueycito, Granma, and Baracoa-Van Van, Guantánamo; 1 kW at Sancti-Spíritus, S.S. The first two are in eastern Cuba while S.S. is in central Cuba, more likely to be the whooper except it`s lowest-powered. IF this info be correct, current. Terry Krueger`s Cubalist has not been updated in exactly 5 years; back then, it showed on 870 one Reloj in S.S.; the Baracoa Reloj on 860 instead; R. Progreso also on 870 in S.S. per WRTH 1997; and a Progreso in Pilón, Granma. DXers closer to north of Cuba ought to be able to get DF bearing on the whooper, from which part of the Great Antille? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. (5085), UT Sun Aug 29 at 0020, WTWW-2 $ tereo webcast of TOUTA is already underway; in fact wrapping up at 0025 with `Mr Sandman` until 0027, back to Ted`s hard-sell commercials. Must have started very early circa 2356 Saturday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1948 UT August 29

** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Sat Aug 28 at 1454 check via Campo SDR Brasil, still no signal from LRA36 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 8503 approx., Aug 28 at 1910, via Missouri SDR, warbling sound, presumably NMG USCG New Orleans with fax as now sked in EiBi. Alternates with voice transmissions: all ears on that for Hurricane Ida info. Complete NMG listings from EiBi: Identical times for all three, altho one might assume 4 at night only, 12 at day only: 8502, 12788, 4316, voice in English, presumably USB, UT: 0330-0405 0515-0550 0930-1005 1115-1150 1530-1605 1715-1750 2130-2245 2315-2350 fax: 4317.9, 8503.9, 12789.9: 0000-0305 0600-0855 1200-1505 also 17146.4 1800-2105 also 17146.4 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2101 monitoring: confirmed Saturday August 28 from 1800:33 on IRRS SW via Italia AM, 918 kHz, VG S9+22 into nearby Noale SDR. As usual, playing `Aïda` march theme from before 1759, quick ID and then WOR --- BUT simulmonitoring 7290 via UTwente, NO IRRS SIGNAL from Bulgaria at start nor past 1830, just that weak Chinese before 1800, its ToH timesignal, and a few more minutes, vs RTTY warbling on the plus side. I let 7290 run the entire semihour in case it cut on; there were one or two blips which might have been attempts, or more likely, QRM. Also confirmed Sat Aug 28 from 1950 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, VG S9+8 into nearby SDR. Next: 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 [final, replaced next week] 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW [NEW] 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE, 5800 to SSE [canceled] 0300vUT Sunday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA Thanks this week to Dan in Cincinnati, who says, ``Dear Glenn, I am writing to thank you again for all of the great information that you gather and report weekly`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 12160, Sat Aug 28 at 1728, the last minutes of scratchy lo-fi ancient record or cylinder music, no closing announcement, just quick WWCR ID and intro a Nashville gospel huxter. `The Talking Machine Show`, misnamed as most of the old recordings are music, not talk! scheduled 1700 UT Saturdays. I search the latest, Aug 1, WWCR skedgrids and do not find *any* other time for it now! Used to fill several slots, and I do mean fill, subject to time being sold off. Perhaps the only WWCR program worth listening to, certainly the only one itself produces, i.e. by engineer Phil Patton. 12160 at midday here one megameter away usually provides a VG signal, like today S9+10/20. There also used to be another similar show but can`t remember the name and don`t see any sign of it on sked either, tsk2. O, maybe this be it, from Alan Roe`s latest, July, Music Programmes on Shortwave --- `Last Radio Playing`, Wed 23-24 UT on 6115, only (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1110 kHz, Aug 28 at 0646 UT, `C2CAM` has been discussing SW numbers stations on KFAB Omaha, which is normally a loud & clear affiliate to here, but now I am also hearing a weak pre-echo. C2CAM affiliate list shows three others: KBND in Oregon, but it`s direxional west into Pacific at night; KAOI in Hawaii, ND but doesn`t start until 0800; and WBT Charlotte NC, of course the latter despite its two major 50 kW night lobes to the NE and south, very little thisaway (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2002 UT August 28

** NETHERLANDS [non]. 7780 // 5800, UT Sat Aug 28 at 0200, WRMIs with another TRSW relay of a European low power, this one licensed on 6020, Radio Delta International. Publicity continues to overlook 7780. Both are S9+10/20 here but not unnoisy. Starts with a bit of YROT theme, Second Mate Susan ID, Cap`n Ric introducing RDI. Starts with RDI`s very own theme song with Dutch lyrix including kilohertz. 0204 greeting from Andy in Switzerland, and someone else, presumably listeners rather than Deltans. 0213 QSL address as radiodelta@icloud.com --- then I realise I am missing the Wiener Philharmoniker Summer Night Concert, on PBS! Over to OETA on RF 13 for my attention, undivided except for stereo to one ear each. I`ll have to catch the repeat 3 hours later for the first part. Great music, and scenery, but still hard to spot the token females in the orchestra (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Fri Aug 27 at 2355 checking all WBCQs via Maryland remote: 3265 is on and poorly audible with gospel huxter, seems // 7490. 4790 with TOMBS. 6160 with Area 51, Amos `n` Andy? 9330 with WLCR. Then I axually listen to `AAAWWW` on 7490 webcast, where already at 2359, Allan does not realize his mike is open as he exclaims about some tone we`re hearing, as FKB gospel huxter is wrapping, and as they are setting up for the live show to follow. As soon as that`s underway, UT Sat Aug 28 at 0000 with WTO theme I recheck all the lower 4 SW frequencies and indeed they have united. Cold wave has hit Maine, from 88 F yesterday, it`s 58 today. Complaining about all broadcasting on the way out, everything to The Cloud; complaining about ``gendering``, people objecting to being classified as male or female. Angela reminds us that she is convinced Trump is really still president. WBCQ has enemies who don`t like WLCR or TOMBS, but they ``will be crushed``. 0026 says new tube is in -- or rather, on the way; hope to get the SuperStition back on at full 500 kW ``within days``. 0028 call from Annoying Freddie in Massachusetts, about drinking on the air. It seems Angela has a small? bottle of wine, and they attempt a toast over the phone. Quadricasting tonight. The SS transmitter is a Continental 420D, right? What about the warranty on the tube? he asks. But C`l do not make that component. Allan says they are ``working on it``, the warranty issue. How much does it cost, $ 100K? Much more than that, like for a house. $ 200K? Even more than that, but will not say how much now. Datestamp: 27th of August, YOOLF 2021. 0035 caller from Durango, Colorado with reception report, 7490 poor but best as to be expected. 0037 call from Jason in Nova Scotia, implying he will visit in person? Someone sent quotation from Thomas Paine, about ``trying men`s souls`` and how that may apply to current events. TANSTAAFL. 0045 Jason calls back to greet Angela after she complained about being ignored. ``We have enemies who don`t like Worlds Last Chance or Brother Stair --- very sick and deranged people``. He seems to think they are behind the FCC/WHRI SNAFU. 0048 Tim in Connecticut thankfully briefly, and as someone pointed out always happens, the stream craps out at 0053. I get it started again. 0055 to read email, nothing significant. 0059 prayer, that the Lord must have a great sense of humor, and ``please cleanse this world of virus``, etc. [? why didn`t He stop it in the first place??], 0101 joins Hal Turner a minute late as usual. Here`s John Carver`s version: ``Tonight's AAWWW --- Tonight's show started on time on 4790, 6160 and 7490. Allan and Angela in the studio. Allan is taking about Angela being naked in the studio. Also complaining about the temperature as it's now 58 degrees at the station. Then talk of people wanting to do away with TV and radio and put everything on the cloud. Then talk about the war concerning gender talk. Was also announced that the new tube for the superstation is on its way to Maine. Phone call at 0027 from Freddie who is off the phone in a short time. Phone call at 0035 with a reception report from an old listener. Phone call at 0037 from a listener asking about the other frequencies they're using tonight. Allan then reads something that was sent to the station last week by a listener and written by Thomas Paine. Phone call at 0048 from Tim who manages to turn a pleasant non political show political as usual. Finally off the phone Tim calls back immediately to make a point and then off the phone again. Reading of emails at 0056 and closing prayer at 0059. John, Mid-North Indiana`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0328 UT August 28
