Subject: Re: ORF 13730 underneath of NZ Rangitaiki in Asia co-channel

In B-22 season ORS Vienna Moosbrunn had been rent / requested
13730 kHz at 11 to 12 UT time slot,
but now R NZ Pacific joined
on bad co-channel MIXTURE too
on very same channel,

It is unfortunate a NZ against ORS wave battle.

re 13730 NZ'er Adrian has got it all wrong,
there are numerous free 22 mb channels to request;
also 13660 and 13840 kHz channels requested alternatively
in hfcc.org organization

https://www.rnz.co.nz/international/listen

now Adrian has occupied ORS channel 13730 kHz at 06.59 to 12.58 UT
in total.

I will activate the connection to NZL and point that co-channel
matter out.

Subject: ORF 13730

Hello Wolfgang,

After our phone conversation last Sunday,
I did some monitoring on 13730 kHz from my QTH.
Radio New Zealand is already active here before 11:00 UTC.
At 11:00, RÖI/OE1 joins in with the midday journal.

Depending on the propagation conditions, there is a wave battle,
sometimes both more or less equally strong,
sometimes one of the two is relatively or absolutely dominant -
this can change within a few minutes in one direction or the other.

Certainly, with the many free frequencies in the 13 MHz 22mb band,
one can ask whether there would be no alternative possibilities.

Interesting the propagation conditions around noon on the
13 MHz 22mb band when ORF came in strong and undisturbed
on 13730 kHz for a short time on 8 November.

B-22 requested booking suffer by CNR1 anti TWN SOH Falun Gong jamming  View Printable Version
Monday, November 07 2022

ROMANIA now in B-22 Nov 7, co-channel CNR1 jamming on 17780 kHz.

N Eng ROU RRO = GAL DRM mode TX1

21470 0630 0700 55,58,59TIG 300 97 288 1234567 D Eng ROU RRO

the channel 17780 kHz in Qatar and India
has co-channel suffer of CNR1 anti TWN SOH Falun Gong Mandarin interference,
spilling over from China,
17780 kHz has co-channel
01 - 13 UT Jamming sce against TWN SOH Falun Gong Mandarin broadcasts there.

21470 kHz has just such a S=9+5dB signal, super strong reception is
different,

let's see how the propagation with increasing SF numbers
in the high winter Dec-Febr. happens in the 13 mb on this path.

By the way, the 0500-0530 UT 15260 DRM transmission in Chinese
goes eastwards just so far as Beijing for real DRM decoding,

beyond that in South Korea and in long stretched Japan landscape
the signal with SNR 6 or 8.5dB - is much too weak to decode DRM
successfully.

Subject: Re: [WOR] New Schedule for RNZ

13730kHz. Since Saturday, 5 Nov, at around 0800-0900 UT,
I could hear co-channel interference between RNZ Pacific and CNR1.

I have checked my own KiwiSDR in Hong Kong and other remote SDRs in Okinawa,
Indonesia and Brisbane can hear the QRM as well. It is rather concerning
since RNZ have programmes in Tok Pisin on that hour and that co-channel
interference may affect reception in PNG.

I also hear some fan/machine noise QRM too after 1000UT.
It can be pretty bad after 1200UT but I think none of the listeners in South
Pacific are affected by that.
