Subject: World of Radio Hitlist Update

Hi Glenn,

My latest Hitlist update.
https://www.w4uvh.net/hitlist.htm

A huge thank you to Peter Jones who has run the HitList through a URL checker and as a result identified a number of broken links or links which re-direct to new pages. This has prompted a thorough review of the HitList (the entries that I have fixed which were highlighted by Peter as broken are indicated by *PG below).

1) The Google translate "button" had stopped working for many links due to a change in the way that Google Translate works, although many also redirect to new format and still work. All buttons fixed to new format (Algeria, Brazil, Cuba, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Lao, Morocco, Romania, Russia, Spain, Turkey) (*PG)
2) Some general maintenance performed on underlying text file to improved guide/rule lines across page

** EGYPT. 9899.58 approx., Nov 24 at 2158, R. Cairo S7/S9 of carrier,
maybe trace of English modulation direct, much like 24 hours ago.
Something`s always egregious in Egypt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Nov 24 at 2307, token English from REE admittedly
repeating a 10-year-old interview, about the 15-M movement on `Face to
Face` with Prof. Charles Seaworth (sp?); S9/S7 into Maryland SDR
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Nov 24 at 2309, VOT English is on but with a new
problem: annoying squeal of variable pitch, like 2-3 kHz on both sides
of carrier so transmitted that way; S9 signal into Maryland SDR, and
same squeal into UTwente. They agree carrier is only off by plus 1.7
Hz. 2317 into a feature about the sciatic nerve, not an everyday
topic. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2113 monitoring: confirmed Wednesday November
24 from 2200:26 on WBCQ 7490, S9+15/25 direct. Next:

0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 5010 to S

Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts:
http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html

Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary
support. By MO or check in US funds on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702

One may also contribute PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9955, Nov 24 circa 2000 UT, WRMI with TOMBS, // much
stronger 9980 WWCR. WRMI skedgrid is self-contradictory: XMTR 3 atop
shows 9955 as 24 hours including TOMBS at 16-22 and 05-11; but System
B for 9955 shows ``Internet only`` at 17-22 and 05-11 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 3265, Nov 24 at 2324 check, no signal from this WBCQ into
Maryland SDR; altho Wolfgang Bueschel reported it among Koreans on 90m
via remote in Japan, today at 1352 on 3264.706V. It had not been
reported at any hour for several weeks, not even during `AAAWWW` when
sometimes ``quadri-casting``; last time I heard it that hour was
August 27. So maybe it`s coming back, supposedly available 24h, mostly
for TOMBS. Propagation 101 would suggest it`s most useful during
winter nights, when even 7490v may not propagate (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 5954, Nov 24 at 0306, pulse jamming: remnant against
long-gone R. República which was on this frequency from Costa Rica.
Something`s always incompetent at the DentroCuban Jamming Command
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Nov 24 at 1605, RHC Spanish S9+20 but very suptorted,
also some F#? tone like heard on 13700`s spurs. Something`s always
wrong at RHC. The Other Side:

CUBA IS SLOWLY WAKING UP
https://diariodecuba.com/cuba/1637680770_35719.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9899.58 approx., Nov 23 at 2202, S7-S9 dead air direct,
maybe trace of modulation from R. Cairo attempting English, on
signature off-frequency. No het from 9900.00 China yet. Something`s
always egregious in Egypt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. Quite a haul of ND beacons on a low-noise night,
Nov 24 at 0725-0757 UT, but most of them relogs so I will skip
detailed entries for each except for some anomalies:

391 MCW kHz, Nov 24 at 0728 UT, dash and seems like IAETEI --- maybe
negative keying? There is an AI on 394 in Anderson IN, 25 watts.

379 MCW kHz, Nov 24 at 0730 UT, copied as TIL: apparently really DL,
Duluth MN, 30 watts; tuned to 377-USB

293 MCW kHz, Nov 24 at 0737 UT, mixture of UI, 30 watts from Quincy
IL; and TOR, 50 watts from Torrington WY; tuned to 291-USB

275 MCW kHz, Nov 24 at 0748? UT, mixture, only letters copied are DY
and H. Nothing seems to fit.

212 MCW kHz, Nov 24 at 0757 UT, JBA unreadable algo: only logged
before is YGX, 50 watts in Manitoba. I have trouble copying any below
240, maybe R75 receiver sensitivity / antenna length issues.

The relogs were: 420 FQ MN, 417 IY IA, 414 ATS NM, 408 JDM KS, 362 SB
ON, 347 AFK NE, 346 YXL ON, 336 TU OK, 335 YLD ON, 329 PMV NE, 284 QD
MN, 269 UDE MB, 258 ZSJ ON, 255 FWC IL (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Confirmed Tue Nov 23 at 2330 on WRMI 9955: JBA at TWR DR remote; S9-S7
with pulse jamming at KB0FX remote; nothing but jamming at NA5B
remote; at 2344 direct, S9/+10 and no jamming audible, but fading into
noise level by 2352. Next:

2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW

usual, only S9/+10 and also quite undermodulated. 5830 WTWW-1 not on

** CANADA. 1610 kHz, Nov 23 at 0730 UT, CHHA ID celebrating its 17th
anniversary, ``ahora con 10 mil vatios, La Voz de la Comunidad``, so
seems to have quit the ``Voces Latinas`` slogan. Anyhow in Spanish now
rather than Punjabi overnight. ``Clear`` channel except for TIS, not
even Anguilla, gives it huge advantage over bigger Toronto stations,
1010, 740 etc. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 7157, Nov 23 at 0719, pulse jamming centred here, as for
weeks, originally against some Exile ham? But not on 7215 this time,
rather, all against nothing, no Martí: 7355 which continues heavy and
uniquely with a tone; 7365; 7375 vs WINB DRM hybrid below 7380; 7435,
5980, 6030. Something always incompetent at the DentroCuban Jamming
Command (Glenn Hauser, OK,WOR)

** EGYPT [and non]. CORRECTING frequency typos? replace with:

** EGYPT [and non]. 9899.57 approx., Nov 21 at 2235, R. Cairo must be
trying again, with a VP carrier direct hetting stronger 9900.00 which
supplies the Chinese audible. The latter CNR jamming or RTI scheduled
to start at 2230 before the English sesquihour from Abis be over at
2245 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9899.590, Nov 22 at 2111, big carrier with het/tone, into
UTWente, at first in Synch mode displaying as 9899.291 but ``not
locked``. Jiggling a bit, it does lock as the first frequency above.
2115 trace of suptorted music, 4+1 timesignal cuts thru at least 30
seconds late --- but probably from studio recording, rather than a
truly accurate source, rather like the opening of VORW. I can tell the
JBM talk is in English with occasional recognizable words, 2118 sounds
like a program summary. Wiggle that patchcord! Something`s always
egregious in Egypt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KASHMIR [non]. 15170, Tue Nov 23 at 1558 and further chex past
1600, another fruitless try at UTwente SDR for Kashmir Civitas, which
was first missing one week ago. HFCC has IRRS registered entire B21
season from ``MIL``. Does not show on NEXUS-IBA program schedule but
think it never did anyway, very undetailed and otherwise not updated.

K.C. has this YouTube site:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHCJ-2jwTeQs7Jb--H8fZ4w

which includes linx to old programs titled ``Radio - Free Kashmir
`Paez Kath` - Hard Truth``, 12 of them but numbered up to 25, at
widely variable lengths, mostly ``one year ago``, each under 100
views: what an impact (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Nov 23 at 1600 UT, marginal level-1 tropo blob with Enid
on the edge, reaching Tulsa and/or Wichita markets, visiblizes only
BAD signals on RF TV channels: 11, 12, 21, 26, 34, 35, 36; into my
