Hi Tony.
9465 kHz seems to be a former BBCWS frequency from Oman, no longer on the official BBC shortwave schedules available on their web site.
Due to the time (15:00 UTC) and your location (BC), IMO I suppose you received a sort of "BBCWS test" from Oman you were able to listen to thanks to the gray line propagation.

846possibly this station (Vatican radio as per the message from WOR ) with chantsand pipe organ on 1713z and in between talks by man in Italian.

Thesignal is -85 in the kSDR in Rome.The USB part needs 4.2kHz  to filter out thestrong signal from Romania.

Recently wemoved from the village back to the city in a space that prohibits the use ofdesktop DXing, a place flooded by high levels of noise in the LMHF bands.
