not any more, none listed. 0500 ``R Progreso, Cadena Nacional, la Onda

** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, following Gary Pence`s suggestion, as of 0450
UT Sept 22, I have been on the NH6XO KiwiSDR, Kanoehe, Hawaii since
0430 but no sign of a R. Kiribati carrier yet on 846. Wonder if they
are off again tonight. Was away for a while but at 0540 it`s surely on
with songs, S8. So I missed when it came on or faded in. First time I
have tried for it remotedly. NH6XO has a 200-foot N/S beverage. It`s
on the ``windward`` NE coast of Oahu, so has to shoot thru Honolulu
slightly offbeam. Fortunately this is far enough from 830 KHVH, and
850 KHLO not a problem yet, either. By 0622 still in with more ACI.
LSS at both ends circa 0430. At 0633 I hear the 846 JBA carrier direct

reports later: ``Hi Glenn, about 0730z Nigeria (presumably) was on, S7
with considerable static crashes from North Utah SDR east antenna but
the audio was so lowly modulated I couldn't tell what language, signal
was running about the same in the Canary Islands but with less
atmospheric noise. Freq was 7254 between .93 and .94 - 73, Gary``

from scheduled TDA relays via FRANCE, checking SDRs in Africa and

** EGYPT. 9439.995, Sept 21 at 2204, R. Cairo is on today, S9+25 into
UTwente, but extremely distorted modulation, useless. This protracted
incompetence at National Media Authority is really remarkable.

** OKLAHOMA. 1600, Sept 21 at 2120 UT, looking for some tolerable AM
band music to nap by, I try KUSH in Cushing, but there`s a talk show
instead! Seems to be MOR, not Biden-bashing like everything else in
OK. 2129 still ID as ``Oklahoma`s Americana Station`` and 2130 back to
Bloomberg Radio, ``Sound Off`` show, giving its frequencies in some
major markets, 99.1, 1130, 106.1, 960, and Sirius XM 119, but no
mention of 1600 or KUSH! NRC DX News of August 30 reported:

``KUSH OK Cushing — Format to C&W (ex-C&W/OLD) (StIntel)`` -- The
`OLD` was ``Americana``, a rather rare format which made KUSH worth
some listening. New NRC AM Log showed slogan ``Oklahoma`s Americana
Station``. U1 5000/70 watts, psra 500. Radio-locator says ``Oklahoma`s
Only Americana Station``, day coverage map finds OKC, Tulsa and Enid

satellite parameters. Too busy to listen closely but usual mix of talk
features and Turkish music, still 0043; 0053 IS and finally cut off
the air as if this were an intentional emission. Bet it won`t be on

at Edmonton-Alberta-Canada, whole log will send later the day,
few exception:
ALGERIA  13600.002  ? one of the few RTA engineering tests ?
noted S=8 signal from Ourgla new Ampegon unit ?,
later than scheduled at 23.12 UT on Sept 21. Much fluttery and
low modulation signal on backlobe path.
EGYPT  noted likely two bcast outlets from Radio Cairo's Abis site,
distorted audio though, hard to tell the languages in use.
9439.995 kHz S=9+10dB signal strength in Alberta at 22.20 UT.
9899.964 Unid likely R Cairo in Portuguese(?), S=7-8 at 22.33 UT.
CHINA a lot of China mainland bcasts of CRI, CNR1, CNR2 Business,
as well as alot of domestics also, heard 'all over the place'
in 31 to 13 meterbands, and in fq range between too.
For example CNR1 Mandarin relay as jammer against TWN SOH and
others swervices too, noted at 23.36 UT on
13920, 14560, 14670, 14920, 15340, 15360, 15380 regular, 15480,
15555, 15740, 15760, 15775, 15920, 15970, 16100, 16160, 17550,
17560, 17580, 17595, 18970, 21530 kHz,
and highest TWN SOH noted on 21799.662 kHz too.
TURKEY  9830.003 TRT Emirler noted like on strong carrier only,
seems no modulation heard at 22.30 UT S=9+10dB in Edmonton,
Alberta.
