Zach, it's a wide-band digital signal. Better to see on a waterfall, than
actually listening. To me, today, it looked a lot like what I see with OTH
radar. 73, Walt

Interesting. What kind of signal was it? A solid carrier? Pulses? A
modulate carrier? How long did the transmission last?

** CUBA. 13780, July 22 at 1457, Spanish? JBA S4/S5 direct; 1459 RHC
IS & ID. So NF is active but underpowered? It`s not on the ``new``
sked Chris Campbell got from someone at RHC; why in the world don`t
they put it on website? It`s ``experimental``. 15230 also heard July
22 at 1455, suptorted S9/+5. And at 2159, 13780 is JBA S6/8 direct,
and 15230 S9+10 of dead air if not JBM.

Their XLS sked dated March-November 2025 with time changes 9 March:

``SPANISH
N/C/SAm 1100-1400 & 2300-0500 on 6000 {also for English! below}
Buenos Aires 1200-1500 & 2300-0500 on 15230
MESA REDONDA {TV soundtrack, used to be M-F only}
Washington & Chicago 2200-2300 6000
ENGLISH
Washington 0000-0600 6000 {also for Spanish! above}
PORTUGUESE
Buenos Aires 2200-2300 15230
Note: French, Arabic, Esperanto and Creole go out on Real Audio``
{Sic, streaming only} (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 13605, Tue July 22 at 1458, R. Martí already on from
Grimesland NC, S7, promo `Actualidad Mundial` program. Then also heard
on weaker 11930 and weakest 11860 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.004+, July 22 at 2158, VOT not off the air, IS & IDs
in English, S9+10/20 direct but no match for noise level. 2249 into
UTwente when measured, S9+35 with music. 2251 s/off by Efsun the
axentuated as if it were the 1230 on 17620; something`s always awry at
Ankara [I know you may tire of reading that, but I tire of hearing
that, announcers totally ignoring all the repeats]. 2253, 8 notes of
IS and chopoff*, no finesse. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. I bandscan for LW/MW beacons every latenight, in case
anything change or make it thru my horrible line noise level/storm
noise. 245 kHz, July 22 at 0646 UT has a JBA carrier, most likely the
only one logged under better conditions: FS, Sioux FallS SD, 400
watts. Can`t even get a carrier on 255 from my closest, SW, StillWater
OK, or 332 IC, wIChita KS. 293, FBY Fairbury NE also used to outshine
the others. Only other one making it now is 407, HRU in HeRington KS,
25 watts. Always audible: 515, PN, Ponca City OK (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2304 monitoring: NOT confirmed UT
Tuesday July 22 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, since that transmitter is OFF!

Also confirmed Tuesday July 22 at 1300 on WRMI 9955, JBA

Also confirmed Tuesday July 22 at 1400 on WRMI 9955, JBA.

Also confirmed Tuesday July 22 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,
1322.994+, S9 into UTwente across Europe, by which I mean 858 km = 533
statute miles from Villa Estense to Enschede. Not on 918 or 207. Next:

2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW [NEW];
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

Thanks for financial support this week from Peter Robinson, Preston
UK, a very generous contribution via PayPal, to woradio at yahoo.com

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to:
Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5920, July 22 at 0635, WTWW with TOMBS now clear except for
some hum, S9+20/30, no spurs audible like earlier at 0154 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9842-9885 & 9975-10006 approx. range, direct, splatter spurs
out of 9930 WTWW which is S9+50/60, also with the plus/minus 12.8 kHz
spur carriers. 9930 had been OK around 1500 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. WRMI check July 22 at 0637: these frequencies are OFF: 5010,
5050, 5800, 7570, 7780. 7780 was also off at 0330 for WOR. These ON at
0637: 5850, 5950, 7730, 9395, 9455, 9955, 15770 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 12050, July 22 at 2206, no sign from WEWN RCM, nor earlier
today; it`s been missing more than present lately, sporadic (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
This report dispatched at 2317 UT July 22
