From now and for an unknowntime, at least for 3 years, I will not use any radio except the remote SDRs forDXing. Recently we moved from the village back to the city in a space thatprohibits the use of desktop DXing, a place flooded by high levels of noise inthe LMHF bands. The radio is now used mostly for FM, for news listening.we runpolitically lively condition with always very interesting twits every day ..

Logs
** BRAZIL. 15189.804, Feb 3 at 2315, R. Inconfidência, fair direct in
Portuguese, measured vs WWV 15000.0000 calibration. Used to be on plus
side of 15190 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 24940 USB, Feb 3 at 2304, PY2OI calling CQ 12. QRZ.com:
``PY2OI Brazil flag Brazil, CLAUDIO NOVIKOVAS, Rua Maria Quintina dos
Santos, 377, Osasco, SP 06122-19, Brazil``. Also a few deep SAms on
10m but hardly any beacons (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA [non]. 13650, Feb 3 at 2312, no signal from CRI Portuguese
[non] relay of music only. Surely this pointless exercise via CUBA be
missing only temporarily (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA. 10125 CW, Feb 3 at 0718, HK3QQ, Bogotá, looping defective
keyboard-order letters, QWETYUIOX etc., good signal now; also noted
various other times JBA but not logged. I start or end my 31m
bandscans here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 9565, Feb 3 at 0720, pulse jamming against nothing, where R.
Martí is scheduled 21-01 UT only. And there is electricity shortage?
Think of how many undernourished Cubans could have been fed for cost
of totally wasted juice (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 95.1, Feb 3 circa 1930 UT, still on with dead air in
$ tereo, the OG&E unlicensed transmitter in downtown Enid to go with
the `tree of lights`, which has now been dismantled. No sign of a
`black box` transmitter or antenna in that area on north side of
Garfield County courthouse. Must be nearby, with considerable range,
but where? Will QRM the LPFM on 95.1 CP if it ever come on.

1670 AM, Virtual DJ Radio, Feb 3, continues as always, peaking circa
US 81/412 junxion (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Mon Feb 3 at 2300, token English from SNR, VG direct,
but no signal on 12030 for ME, JBA carriers on 17715 & 17755. Feature
preview something about the EU vs USA? And launch of a Spanish
satellite at Cabo Cañaveral. 2302 news leads with trial of some
footballer for sexual assault (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2280 monitoring: Ron Norton
confirms that Fri Jan 31 at 2130, IRRS via AM Italia 1323 had to
pre-empt WOR airing one time only.

Confirmed Sunday February 2 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,
1322.998-, S8 but noisy into UTwente.

Germany, 3975.003-, S9+5 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Sunday February 2 at 2330 on WRMI 7570, S9+10/20 into
Georgia SDR; and also still at same time on WRMI 7780, S7/9+10 into
Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday February 3 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S9+5/15 into
S Texas SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday February 3 from 0402 on Area 51 webcast
only.

Thanks this week to Moises Corilloclla, formerly of Perú, now of Rego
Park, NY, for a contribution by check on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, P
O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, and says, ``Please take this humble
donation, a token of gratitude for all the years of dedication.
Wishing you the best for year 2025 and plenty of WOR editions!``

woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9395, Feb 3 at 0721, S9+20 of dead air from WRMI-6, normally
SMTV at 06-10. I wonder when this happen, is there anyone awake or
awakened at site to deal with it? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1280, Feb 3 at 0800 UT, ID for 107.5 and news. Reverse
lookup at WTFDA FM Database finds one 107.5 as a relay of 1280: WWTC
Minneapolis MN on K298CO. Then checking NRC AM Log of 1280s: ditto,
the only match. Unusually, WWTC is licensed for more night than day
power, 10/15 kW. Radio-locator shows night pattern major lobe to NNE,
several notches oppositely including one rather usward.
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WWTC&service=AM&h=N
Day pattern is similar:
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WWTC&service=AM&h=D

Logs
** GERMANY. 3955, Feb 1 after 2200, Texas Radio SW, monthly via
Channel 292, too poor into UTwente, and too much programming
competition at this hour. Next two repeats are for E & W North America
on 9670. JBA carriers direct! At 0200, into Maryland SDR
insufficient S4/S6 and noisy, `YROT` opening theme. At 0415, only
wideband QRM, maybe something local at NA5B. By 0448, no signal direct
or to Maryland, but at 0454, N9AZZ has fair S4/S6 signal. Too bad
can`t be on a WRMI bigsig (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PHILIPPINES. 11504 approx., Feb 2 at 1551, rough peak of extremely
distorted Korean, S9+15 direct, FMish out to 11496/11507. Is RFA via
Tinang, VERY out of order, normally a goodsig on 11510 here at 21
degrees far beyond target area. Now there is also a JBA carrier on
11510, probably the KurdoTurko radio war, nothing else listed (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA [and non]. 15250 & 15370, Feb 2 at 1548 among few sigs on
19m, JBA carriers with extreme Doppler flutter, the lower one slightly
stronger. EiBi shows both can only be RRI, via Tsiganeshti and Galbeni
resp., 307 thisaway & 285 degrees. I assumed at first with such heavy
Dfl, would be from China or something east-Asian. Continued at:
VATICAN [non] (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15016 USB, Feb 2 until 1545*, US military crypto message
exercise, repeated, and ``Mill Run, out`` in an ever-changing tactical
ID (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2280 monitoring: confirmed UT
Sunday February 2 at 0100 on WRMI 9955, S9+15/20 off the back into
Georgia SDR, after hearing nothing but noise at Bonaire.

Also confirmed UT Sunday February 2 at 0414 about 10 minutes into so
started circa 0404 the 0415v on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S8/9+5 into N9AZZ
remote in IL. Next:

** U S A. 15150.000, Feb 2 at 1546, S8/9+20 of dead air from WMLK.
Still dead at 1658, S9+5/15 into UTwente, calibrated vs WWV 15000,
until cutoff at 1701* -- just as scheduled, 1200-1700. Maybe soon to
deaden likewise on 17525? Nominal *1730 but nothing by 1746 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VATICAN [non]. Continued from ROMANIA, which had heavy Doppler
flutter on two 19mb signals: Yet Feb 2 at 1550, Vatican in Amharic on
15565 is loud & clear, no flutter, belying listings as SMG site which
would be offtheback of thataway, instead of MADAGASCAR, coincidentally
aimed thisaway. Latest HFCC Jan 30 still claims all 15565 VR
broadcasts are from SMG. I don`t believe it. I have often observed
about this and other VR transmissions to the SE have incredibly strong
signals here to the NW if really out of SMG (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
