** CUBA [and non]. 9700, Dec 2 at 0648, JBA carrier, probably TURKEY instead of RHC English, but can`t be certain as RHC often runs past 0700 here only. But now at 0649, English is still running on 6060, 6000, 5040; while 6100 is in Spanish, S9+20 overmodulated. Somethings` always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Dec 2 at 0640 UT, JBA carrier from R. Kiribati, the only one in a 9/kHz MW bandscan, as the Trans-Atlantix are not making it due to higher latitude propagation blockage (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2114 monitoring: confirmed UT Thursday December 2 at 0130 on WRMIs into Missouri SDR: 9395 S9+20; 5010 S7-S9 but modulation is much softer. At 0150 I check the TWR DR SDR closer to the 5010 azimuth: zero! Not even hearing 5025 Cuba and 5040 only a trace. This rx is deaf. But conditions are not good: 5010 is only JBA into Brasilia #2 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2115 contents: Australia, Canada, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic and non, Egypt, Europe, Germany, India, Italy, (Latvia), Kashmir non, Korea South and non, México, Myanmar non, Netherlands, Norway, Russia and non, Solomon Islands, Turkey, UK, USA, (Venezuela), Zanzibar; propagation outlook ()Countries mentioned but not in order WOR 2115 is available as of 0120 UT Friday December 3, 2021 (mp3 stream) http://www.w4uvh.net/wor2115.m3u (mp3 download) http://www.w4uvh.net/wor2115.mp3 Or via http://www.worldofradio.com/audiomid.html Also linx to podcast services. Thanks this week to Doug Brown, London, Ontario for a generous US$ cheque on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com Confirmed first broadcasts UT Friday December 3 at 0130 on WRMIs 5850 VG direct; and 7780, S9 into UTwente SDR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9455, Dec 2 at 1533, no signal from this WRMI, must be off, as 9395 and 9955 are in well (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, Dec 2 at 0647, WRNO S9+20/30 with music but distorted (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9265V, Dec 2 at 0653, WINB S9+20 with Brother Scare attempting to sing, // 7570 WRMI; but by 0655, 9265 has split to ``Somewhere Over the Rainbow`` on piano, 0656 disrespectful talk-over!! ``Star Spangled Banner`` in sign-off, followed by a few notes of some other music before 0658* chopoffair. Program sked dated Nov 7 does show 9265 sign-off at 0657* daily following TOMBS, and 0700 starting DRM but not specifying frequency, but has been on 7375-7380-7385, not checked tonight (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 2097.3 CW, Dec 2 at 0644 UT, single-letter beacon A is JBA of one sit patiently on 2097-USB for at least 10 seconds. 4095.65 CW, Dec 2 at 0645, DW IDs amid sweepups from the Desert Whooper beacon. There used to be another one just above 4102 with ID as W but have not been detecting it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 10860, Dec 2 at 1525, JBA music, the only WOOB audible, none in the 11s, 12s, 13s or 14s, and suspected of CNR1 jamming but unlisted as such in Aoki or EiBi. At 1535, another JBA carrier on 8880, the latter also unlisted and gone without preamps or with attenuation, so presumably a local mix (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0144 UT December 3 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

** CUBA. 9700, Dec 1 at 0715, RHC English at S9+20, still on this late while none remain on 5 or 6 MHz bands. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** EGYPT. 9900V, Dec 1 at 2108, R. Cairo S8-S9 into UTwente, but the worst sound yet! Extremely distorted talk, language unknown. Synch mode driven crazy, trying to lock onto, but rapidly going in and out of lock with exact frequencies flashing too quickly to copy, but some of them about 9899.742, 9899.867 and occasionally on plus side like 9900.027. 2113 adding random tones to mix, not sure if transmitted or messing up the SDR. Mis-time signal at 2115:43; and I comprehend nothing but ``31 meter band`` in sign-on; 2128 checking direct I find only a JBA signal on about 9899.58. Something`s still egregious in Egypt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 9690, Dec 1 at 2130, VP JBA signal of S7 about even with noise level, presumably REE but hardly propagating; even less on 11940 and 12030. WWV reports: ``Solar-terrestrial indices for 01 December follow. Solar flux 86 and estimated planetary A-index 16. The estimated planetary K-index at 2100 UTC on 01 December was 3. Space weather for the past 24 hours has been minor. Geomagnetic storms reaching the G1 level occurred`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2114 monitoring: Richard Lemke, Alberta, reports: ``Dear Glenn: World of Radio #2114, confirmed, below with details, B21 season, Keep Christ in Christmas, Details: 5850 kHz, also heard on 9955 kHz, 5850 kHz, 0130, 0142, 0158, S9 signal, 0159, 5850 kHz, Nov 26 UTC 2021 [UT Friday; 9955? Not supposed to be then, rather also 7780] 5950 kHz, jamming, siren, noise, 2337, 2343 (45433), 2359, Nov 26 UTC 2021 [Friday] 5950 kHz, jamming, 0057 (55434), (55433), 0059, 5950 kHz, Nov 28 UTC 2021 [Sunday; if there is jamming how can I=5? Maybe he classifies jamming as N. Only jamming around here is on 5954] 9395 kHz, old style tube TV QRN, 0137, S7 signal, 0159, Nov 29 UTC 2021 [Monday] 9955 kHz, 2331, 2359 (55433), (55434), 2357, Nov 30 UTC 2021 [Tue] 5850 kHz, 1030 (55433), confirmed, 1059, Dec 1 UTC 2021 [Wed] (Lemke, Richard -AB)`` Confirmed Wed Dec 1 at 2200+ on WBCQ 7489.9v, but JBA into DX-398 with internal random wire; by 2225 it`s BA = slightly better so I can recognize it as the current 2114 edition. Next: 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support. Thanks this week to Steve McGreevy, N6NKS, Keeler CA for a contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com and says, ``LOOOOOONNNGGG overdue, Glenn(!), and thanks very much for your endless wonderful work for the DX community!`` One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5970, Dec 1 at 0714, WEWN Spanish is back on with music, S9+10, after absence a few nights (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0020 UT December 2 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

** BRAZIL [and non]. 6180, Dec 1 at 0245, CRI Chinese via CUBA dominates. I think there is music from RNA way under it, but // 11780 is also so weak I can`t match them for sure. At 0300, La Voz Alegre from MADAGASCAR takes over 6180 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CHINA. CNR1 WOOB jammer survey Dec 1 at 0005-0010, not in the order tuned, JBA u.o.s.: None in the 10s; 11410 S6-S5; none in the 12s; 13020 S5-S4; 13130 S9-S8 with flutter; 13920; 14920 S9-S7; 14980; 16160 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 9650, Dec 1 at 0013, still no show of RHC Spanish on new scheduled frequency, nor on ex-9710, rather China there. RHC is still on 9535. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 0130 check: 9710 China in Spanish with music background. But: 9640, Dec 1 at 0133, RHC is here! Not 9650 but very distorted and splattering up to 9650 on remote in Missouri; // 9535. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 0228 check, 9640 is S9, undermodulated and not distorted direct. 9700, Dec 1 at 0228, RHC English S9/+20, // 6000 only (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ECUADOR. 6050, UT Mon Nov 29 at 0231, tune-in to national anthem which I had not heard in a long while, as the sad 1 kW remnant of HCJB is signing off earlier than on UT Sat & Sun. What surprises me is how strong it is into Missouri SDR, S9/+15, much better than I ever get it direct; until 0232*, and SAM shows carrier offset minus 5.8 Hz (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) {Date correct, missed in last report} ** EGYPT. 9899.59v, Nov 30 at 2212, R. Cairo still trying, strong but extremely distorted in talk which is probably English; via UTwente (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KASHMIR [non]. 15170, Nov 30 at 1607 check, not only direct but at UTwente, no signal from Kashmir Civitas for the second Tuesday in a row, via ROMANIA; so last week`s absence not a fluke, suspended again or finished (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6919.9 AM, Dec 1 at 0011, unID JBA music, only pirate now, none on 6925 for a change. Nothing reported now in HFU, even as ``6920`` where there have been some logs recently at other times (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** THAILAND. 13750, Dec 1 at 0003, R. Thailand news in English with American accents, S9-S6 with flutter, best heard here in some time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2114 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday November 30 at 2330 on WRMI 9955, fair-good, sufficient into random interior wire and DX-398; some jamming maybe audible at fades. Next: 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support. Thanks this week to Steve McGreevy, N6NKS, Keeler CA for a contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com and says, ``LOOOOOONNNGGG overdue, Glenn(!), and thanks very much for your endless wonderful work for the DX community!`` One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Nov 30 from 0727 UT, not in the order tuned: 621, 684, 693, 711, 747-2, 765-2, 774-2, 828, 846-TP?, 855-2, 882-2, 909, 999, 1089, 1107-2, 1125-2, 1215* --- *strongest. Note 774, where there are normally two, altho mwoffsets shows nothing more than 3 Hz minus from Spain. But at this late/early hour both W Europe and E Asia could be propagating, remnants converging on deep North America; as Walt Salmaniw, BC reported Nov 28 to IRCA: ``Happen to be listening to 774, and heard a local ID for JOUB (NHK2 Akita) at 0720 UT. 1566 HLAZ booming in already, with readily heard cochannel Chinese. All this via my Masset SDR`` Mwoffsets shows JOUB is exactly 774.0000 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Dec 1 from 0202 UT, when signals beyond W Europe are possible but it seems these are not: 531, 585, 684, 774, 837, 882, 999, 1089, 1098, 1116, 1125, 1152, 1215, 1305 kHz (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 2097.3 kHz, Dec 1 at 0207 UT, single-letter beacon A is JB audible every dekasecond, from anywhere but Quartzsite AZ (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 9245-9250-9255, Nov 30 at 1559, sounds like DRM noise but nonesuch listed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0353 UT December 1 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
